i saw on tiktok people saying they thought babe’s character was boring, and they’re not wrong.

hear me out.

compared to the other listeners, babe has no personality. let’s focus in on the shaw-pack listeners exclusively. angel’s a hyper-active, childish character, sweetheart’s a hard working detective, darlin‘s got a whole past that took 3 videos to cover. compared to the rest, we know almost nothing about babe. there was an earlier video when asher talked about their work struggles but that was it. that’s all we know about them; they’re a semi workaholic.

and while it does suck because there’s not a lot of development for us to follow with them, i don’t fully hate it. it gives us as creatives a lot of leeway on how we want babe, or other listeners to be. whenever characters have too much personality, it can be hard to relate to them. i love the work and dedication we get from erik, and there’s a TON of characters and listeners he writes for so we’re bound to get a semi-boring one every now and then. so far, that’s how a lot of us view babe. they’re just someone to ride along with asher in his journey, never someone to take the wheel.

i hope in the future they can have a moment, like give babe the spotlight for a second. even if, for writings sake, it’s a babe and angel moment. there’s so much you can do with two humans navigating the supernatural world. use it!

TL;DR: babe has wasted potential and deserves a subplot of SOME kind.

angel thought they were doing a good job hiding it before they told him.

after they did and noticed he was completely unfazed they were very concerned/confused

david was very excited but he was also nervous he’d be a bad dad.

very over-prepared, he started setting the nursery up maybe 3 weeks after they told him.

david will pass by things for babies in the store and discreetly put them in the cart, but when angel realizes he did they get all gushy and emotional.

very upset angel had so much morning sickness in the beginning, he would ache to see how much they were hurting.

HE WILL DELIVER TO EVERY SINGLE CRAVING!!

^ he does not care how stupid it may sound, if angel woke him up at 2am asking for beef fucking jerky you already know he’s up either in the kitchen or grabbing his car keys.

david rubs their belly all the time. sittings down? hand on the belly. in bed? belly rubs. in the car? belly.

david gets VERY upset if someone touches their belly/them at all if they don’t want to be touched.

^ will yell in the middle of a walmart/family gathering/in public etc,

foot massages, back massages, legs, back etc. if he can ease angels pain even a little bit he will not stop at mediocrity.

if angel is feeling insecure about their pregnancy body it actually makes david almost angry. not at them of course, but it’s the mentality of “your growing a kid, and you think i’m gonna be upset about a little more to love?”

david goes to every doctors, very attentive, asking a bunch of questions, writing things down, making sure angel does everything the doctor recommends.

^ he will and has cancelled meetings/ jobs to be at an appointment.

legitimately was panicking when their water broke, angel was just sitting there like: 🧍‍♂️.. while he was: 😱😧😦

he collected himself eventually to drive to the hospital

held their hand the whole time, he was a bit queasy by the end of it.

cried when baby shaw was born, held the baby close and did skin to skin almost immediately (like took his fucking shirt off)

he was scared to have sex for a while, he didn’t want to hurt angel, and they probably waited 4ish months, but even then he was extremely gentle.

in the beginning david refused to let angel get up when the baby cried

david cried when he had to go back to work for the first time since baby shaw.

spent the whole day after work with the baby(made dinner, did dishes etc with those things that wrap the baby to his chest)

a few milo headcannons:

he talks out of the side of his mouth. and he tilts his head ALL the time, hes such an animated speaker. he cant sit still fr

other people have said it but it deserves repeating, his accent gets so much thicker when hes feeling strong emotions.

he laughs when hes mad and its scary for everyone in the immediate vicinity bc it doesnt happen often, but when it does... run.

leans on doorways (with his arms crossed, OR just his thumbs in his pockets.)

this man is always flirting, doesnt matter if he and sweetheart have been together six years. hes the type to make the point that just because theyre at mate status doesnt mean hes "won" them, its a continuous effort.

milo and sweetheart are readers. (they read naughty stuff. one of the two will finish the book first and rate it on a scale they created and tell the other if its worth the read. then the other mate gets to read it.)

milo wears cosmetic eye contacts for special events. or just out to a nice dinner. something about matching his outfit etc.

he has so many specific mood playlists, its insane. his spotify has like 483 playlists, most of them several hours long, all for different moods and vibes. his favorite and most played playlist is his summer playlist for making dinner. fleetwood mac, etta james, mazzy star, the temptations. its there. (im making it an actual playlist btw.)

that being said, he also drinks red wine while making dinner if its appropriate for the meal (and he has the nicest set of wine glasses youve ever seen).

he has the largest collection of cologne/body spray probably ever. he routinely switches them out based on the mood and season. he keeps out the ones that are sweethearts favorites though + he has a signature favorite (and will wear it/any cologone no matter what, if sweetheart asks him to).

anton and his partner relationship headcannons! ♡

you know the drill -- a single video about a project meridian boy and his S/O was given, and after two hours of screaming in DMs, me and fuku (@itsdaifuku) have big-brained up some hcs (or an entire backstory) about anton and his partner ( ´ ω ` )♡

so the two of them met during their undergrad in university. anton was a fourth year electrical engineering student (soon to enter his masters), and they were a second year aerospace engineering student

they met outside the office of a mutual professor, awaiting for the prof to arrive for office hours. after some awkward silence, they eventually get to talking and in the long wait for their professor to arrive, they become pretty closely acquainted (that conversation is a future mini fic 🤭)

during that conversation, they mention to anton that their real dream is to be a florist and run their own flower shop. but, they're pursuing a career in engineering because in the words of their patents, "a career in floristry isn't realistic," pushing them to get a degree that would be "useful"

flash forward years later post-grad, anton and them are living together and they aren't happy with the job they are at. anton being the supporting bf he is, encourages them to open that dream shop they mentioned their first day of meeting.

before getting the job at ETS, anton helps out around the shop anytime he isn't at his main job (loving supporting boyfriend of the year). everyday before he would leave to work, they would hurriedly stop him and stick a lil flower inside his front suit pocket, and would always give him a mini-quiz on the flower in-question:

"wait- wait- anton before you go!" "what is it, my love?" "here ( ^ ω ^)ﾉ❀ ! do you remember which one this is?" "it is a red dahlia, no?" "yep! thats right!" and then before they let him leave for work, they ramble for like 5 minutes straight about the flowers entire taxonomy

their couple dynamic is quite literally the quiet introvert, and the talkative, extroverted ball of sunshine. it's such an unexpected pairing when you look at them, but it works so adorably, perfectly well

there will probably be more of these soon because yes these two have a single video, but the emotional attachment is STRONG RN

OH MY GOD MILO WAS SO EXCITED

he was a little nervous because of his dad but not as much as you’d expect

when they tell him he immediately demands they sit down and relax, he makes them their favorite dinner and cuddles with them for a while

he stopped cussing completely by like month 5 of their pregnancy

held sweethearts hand the whole drive to the hospital

he did yell at a hospital staff for making him fill out so much paperwork before getting them to a room

sweetheart had to calm him down and he felt really bad

when baby greer was born he sobbed like a lot

he took a picture of sweetheart holding baby greer and the two of them were sleeping in the hospital bed and that’s his lockscreen and it probably will be for a while

SHAW PACK EDITION

Milo Greer:

- I was convinced for the longest that he was Italian. So yknow what? Italian heritage. Boom.

- His ma taught him right, and I swear they both got OCD. If a dish isn't in the right spot, there's no telling how long the rant is gonna be- WHILE they fix said issue. (Example of this: Nylon socks.)

- I can see the couch being a comfort spot for Sweetheart & Milo- so here's a scenario:

Laying on the couch, watch something on the TV, Aggro laying by you two, candles lit, lights out, and cuddles. The house is warm- not too hot but not too cold. It's night already. And yall can continue this if u want in the comments.

- Date nights are kinda different with Milo. Like he doesn't stick to just one. He'd go on picnics, he'd stay in and watch movies, he'd go to arcades, he'd take Sweetheart to a nice dinner, ect.

Asher Talbot:

- Asher plays the guitar. Prove me wrong

- You cant tell me he hasnt ding dong ditched David before

- He's the kind of friend who sends friends songs that describe them or their relationship.

- He's wrote a song for Baabe for their anniversary

- Date night: Go to the movies, or the arcade.

David Shaw:

- David is the best- out of all the boys- to grill. They have a barbecue? David is stationed at the grill.

- I think after Inversion, David and Angel would take extra precautions. This means David would get extra security, check up on everyone, ect. Angel would be constantly paranoid for a long time. Both would ease back into their daily lives after abt 3 months of this.

- His preferred date night would probably include a nice dinner and then go home and watch movies

- He's not a fan of swimming.

Sam Collins:

- HE'S A HOZIER FAN

- This man can make tea with his eyes closed and hands tied behind his back. I swear if Tanks was sick or just in the mood for tea, they'd be in for a nice surprise. Even tho hes a vamp, he's amazing at making any kind of food or drink- but he specializes in drinks.

- Him and Tanks take to the more minimal kind if dates. Specifically like watching the stars, or going out for walks, ect.

- Yes i cannon this man to be country asf, but as a country girl myself, its not all over the top. He's obviously the flannel and cowboy hat type of guy, and hes got the accent, but have yall ever thought of him having being raised up on a ranch?

Before the whole Alexis ordeal, what if he was raised on a rach, had horses and other animals, ect. But when he was turned, what if he just decided to leave his old life behind, since he can't just go home? What if there are some of his attributes he keeps (since Dahlia is in Cali and is in the city) is to keep some of his old life with him?
