     Brook’s laughter rang out with the joke, an attempt to lighten the mood. He recognized now that it’d been foolish of him to suddenly pop off his head like a toy without warning, bones or not. True, he’d only meant it as as jest, but —  while their wonderful doctor’s concern did warm him  — he couldn’t help but feel guilt for worrying the other.

she came across a lot of people in her travels and each one that looked like they were in a pinch ( an unsafe one at that .. . . ) Momoko always had to involve herself in the fear that they would get hurt!

Fan region development questions, but I’m answering them for the Ranger series regions

12. How industrialized is the region? Does this cause tension?

None of the regions are very industrialised compared to others. There’s typically only one larger town or city, and only a few other smaller towns or villages. This isn’t surprising given that all of the regions cover a smaller area and have a much higher focus on natural environment than other regions. The most industrialised areas are around places like Fall City and Pueltown. Most people are fine with this being the way things are, but there are a few who would prefer a more developed life, even in those towns.

Almia is definitely the most industrialised/developed of all three regions, and almost solely because of Altru’s influence. Altru built the abandoned oil town in the highlands, built the canal and the drawbridge north of Pueltown, and was intent on developing Pueltown itself. They took down forest from a large area to make Altru Park, and built their headquarters building there, as well as the oil rig in the sea (which has left stuff in the ocean). Even the people in the Haruba area think that if Altru pitched in they could turn the village into a much more pleasant town or city.

Nowadays though Altru Inc. is contributing in a much more eco-friendly way with the help of our pal Isaac who’s working on developing effective and efficient green energy sources :) (instead of exploiting pokemon labour and plunging the region into the spiritual predecessor of the darkest day)

Oblivia is on the opposite end and is almost not industrialised at all.

14. What are the routes like? Are there any roadblocks?

There are no named or numbered routes in any of the regions, although in-game the “So-and-so Road” areas pretty much fill an equivalent role. Roadblocks do come up relatively often (some places are more likely to have landslides, fallen trees, or Pokémon-based problems) but all of these are routinely and quickly dealt with by Area Rangers!

These roads typically lead through areas with a lot of nature and a lot of wild Pokémon. They’re similar in appearance to many routes in other regions, but without the presence of Trainers travelling on them. There are a lot less people on them. The exact personality of the route depends on the region and area. Fiore’s and Almia’s roads are mostly temperate walks through natural areas, whereas Oblivia’s reflect the more tropical climate, or are more rugged and harder to traverse compared to the others.

The room had swam for a moment, but the sensation that he was falling lasted for only a second before it ebbed away. The walls stilled, the floor ceased to be a whirlpool — he was fine.

Chopper was, and likely always would be, the only doctor he trusted to keep him in tip-top shape. He knew it would take a little more time before the medicine fully cured him, but he was willing to wait in spite of his growing desire to be in the kitchen. “Wish I could get my sense of smell back, though.”

What's your favorite thing about writing your characters?

oooo, good question! I'm not going to detail every muse I have, but here are the ones rattling about in my head at the moment:

          Leon / @invictarre is so... warm. He's so loving and optimistic even after everything he's had to endure, and the trope of a soft, golden-hearted hero is one I'm truly weak for. Over my two years of writing him (three years, in March!) my friends and I have developed such a rich postgame for him and it's helped his character grow in ways I never could have predicted. He's got an extended family that always seems to be growing, and he's been a beacon of hope and inspiration for so many. Leon may not be Champion anymore, but his memory will always rule over Galar.

          Turo is fascinating to explore because of the human/AI differences, something I've never really gotten to write before. Andrés was this genius able to make use of the Tera crystals to create technologies millions of years ahead of his time, but he was so obsessed with his idea of creating an ideal home for the family that he paid no attention to the home he already had. They didn't need a paradise to be happy, and despite all his intellect he failed to understand that.

          AIdrés, on the other hand, watched all of his creator's mistakes and is able to learn from them. He understands why things occurred the way they did and the feelings/thought processes behind every action, but he can still stand back and acknowledge when something was a mistake. Plus, AIdrés in general is fun to think about! They're an AI, sure, but when they're so far above the ability of anything else that can or will be made... Does it really matter if they're robot or human? Is there as big a difference between the two as people like to think?

          And Chopper / @remedicine is just so sweet. He's got a tragic backstory, though that's hardly a novel concept in the One Piece universe, and he's the character that first grabbed my attention when I read through the series. There's a lot I enjoy about writing him, but overall I think it's just nice to see him go from "I'm a monster, everyone hates me, I'm a blue-nosed reindeer no one likes >:(((" to being his much more open, happier self. I just like people learning to be loved, tbh.
