hey everyone!! it’s been exactly one year since i started this blog and honestly?? this went a lot better than i was anticipating it to- i absolutely wouldn’t change any of this for the world...but also that’s only because i’ve been lucky enough to be able to write/interact/plot with all of you wonderful people!!
those of you who have known me from before might know that when i started this blog, i was incredibly nervous about starting again in this particular part of the rpc....i’m glad to say that my fears were unfounded and i hope to be on this blog ( and my other ones too ) for a very long time to come 😊
anyways before i go, i wanted to also share the song, whose lyrics i use for my tags and for quotes on my blog...it’s a wonderful song called pleasure, sung by WARPs UP ( there are english subtitles available ), but more or less when i started this blog, i realized this song could applied to all of the muses on this blog ( it also has the vibe that i like to think?? is representative of my blog too?? ). basically the central theme of this blog that i wanted to explore was the acceptance of change as it happens, especially in the context of bonds and the process of moving forward from the past, not letting it completely define who they are now and who they will be in the future.
anyways, thank you, thank you, thank you for giving me the chance to interact with you and all your wonderful muses! i hope we can keep writing together for a long time to come, but if that can’t be the case, that’s okay too; i’ll treasure the time we’ve already spent together then. and if we haven’t written/interacted much yet, i look forward to when we’ll be able to!
i’m gonna wrap this now, but please have a wonderful day/night and here’s to many more years of memorable stories and characters!!
all the best, ferre 🌻

can we very gently talk about call out posts / culture really quick?  not in a judgmental way, but in like a: i just want to pose a thought and explain why i’m never going to buy into it and why i wish it would become less of a trend instead of more of one? and i’ll add the  disclaimer  here: i totally get not wanting certain people around you for various reasons, that is all your prerogative. that’s your comfort level. but in emphasizing “your blog should be a safe space” we’re kind’ve losing sight of the fact that the rpc should also be a safe space, and as much as your comfort and safety matter, so do other people’s. and not just the person who hurt you, but the third parties and other mutuals and 99.9% of people who are not at all involved in any way in whatever happened. so, anyway here goes, read it or don’t, we all have different opinions or reasons, i just want to be heard:
people are allowed to change.  think back to who you were last year. two years ago. think about the stuff you said when you were seventeen, or twenty-one, or hell whatever age you were. current-you would probably cringe at the kind of stuff past-you had to say. because you grew. you learned. you had life experiences. in hindsight you have the freedom to be like “oof yeah that was not the best version of myself right there damn i don’t want to be like that again.” the growing trend of ‘here’s a 10+ page google doc complete with out of context screenshots that sometimes date back to like 2017 or earlier’ makes this kind of change impossible. because right there, you’ve just frozen a person in time, probably not at their best, removed any and all amounts of context, and put it on the internet and let other people judge it for themselves.
so that leads into another point that i want to just kinda present to the community at large: the act of documenting behaviors and storing them for months / years at a time, in itself creates a super unsafe environment, not just for you, your friends, the people who have hurt you --- but also for anyone else that isn’t at all involved in whatever happened. like, for example, i like to think that i’m a pretty nice person. i actively try to be a nice person. am i sometimes not having the best day? have people definitely caught me in bad moments? oh hell yeah. but am i, as someone who tries really hard to be nice and welcoming, constantly thinking through every message i send to someone knowing that a) i could have a reputation that makes them read into context that isn’t there and that could contribute to them misinterpreting words i meant in a different way, b) very aware that every post i make, ask i send, message i send can at any moment be screenshotted and posted and taken out of context and either serve as someone’s only opinion of me or pile on to someone’s existing opinion of me? yeah. so in my experience, and based on people i’ve talked to, we now have this thing where you can be surface-friends wtih a lot of people, but if you want to survive in the tumblr rpc you should really only have 2-3 people that you really trust that you can actually talk about shit with.
and lately i’ve been seeing a resurgence of posts on my dash about like “bring back xyz in the rpc” or “the reason the rpc is like this is because of xyz” and i both agree and disagree with a lot of this, but primarily i think the reason the rpc is Off lately is because everyone and their cousin has a DNI, which is --- again --- your decision and i understand and respect that, but while you know the context of every name on that DNI, other people don’t. and to be honest: other people don’t really care and honestly maybe they shouldn’t care. --- and don’t get me wrong, your friends should care if someone has hurt you. that’s important. but joe billy bob who just wants to write their character with yours is going to read through your rules, they’re going to see “do not interact with me if you follow with or interact with these people you’ve never heard of and if you want me to tell you why just message me” (which no one is ever going to do, i’m sorry to say). and say, joe billy bob also followed that other person because they were like ‘omg this blog looks cool’ --- now joe billy bob, who just wants to write cool plots, is suddenly the middle-man in some type of drama that they do not understand, and maybe they’re able to remove themselves from the situation, but even then it’s still in the back of your mind.
this is getting long. it’ll be longer, but let’s take a brief break for me to remind you that in some cases, it’s definitely good to give your mutuals and friends a heads up when someone has done something really, really bad. like, remember x amount of years ago when some dude was like ‘i’m gonna make up a new person and say they died by suicide as a social experiment’ or ‘hey this person actively tries to force very triggering plots about abuse / rape / incest onto people and has been doing so for years and does not seem to change their ways no matter how many people try to educate them’ that’s shit people should probably know about. and it’s also okay ( in my opinion ) for your friends to be able to message you like ‘hey i saw you’re writing with x and i just wanted to let you know i had this experience with them’ if that’s something they feel comfortable doing. and if they are comfortable with you still having the autonomy to make your own decision regarding the person.
i’ll be honest, for a second: i’ve been part of friendships and groups that have turned really toxic for one reason or another. a handful of times. there are probably people out there that are like “yeah this chick is really fake and manipulative and etc, i was friends with her back in 2019″ which, okay. yeah. i’ve definitely done shit and said shit that was not the most representative of who i want to be and who i want to become, and you probably have to. because we are human beings and we are a product of our social groups and the community around us. and you shouldn’t be chained to a version of you that isn’t you anymore. people change. they grow. you don’t have to like them, but you should respect that sometimes people don’t mesh, and that doesn’t mean any of them are bad people, it just means the experience was bad.
a few additional notes i would like to make but i’ve already gone on way too long:
90% of the callout posts that i’ve seen and the DNI’s that i’ve seen can, in my opinion, be classified as a friend group thing. you were friends with x, x did something, now y and z aren’t friends with x anymore. pain is a very, very real thing and people hurting you should never be minimized, but at some point i just want you to remember that not every friendship is going to end happily, but both you and the other party should be allowed to move on and grow better, healthier friendships after. rehashing Friend Group Gone Wrong instances removes that ability for not only person x, but also person y and z.
you putting out a callout says just as much ( maybe more ) about you than it does about the other person. which sucks. because i’d like to think we all have great intentions, and i’m not saying that you should swallow your pain, but it might not be the kind of thing that impacts the community at large, and maybe you should try to find a better way of working through it with a trusted friend(s)
i’m going to be very real and very blunt on this one: literally no one cares. i say that with love. i’m good friends with people who have each other on their DNI’s. establish a baseline of respect and ‘i’m not going to say anything to them about you and vice versa because there’s no need for me to do so’ and move on. but seriously. no one cares. most outside people read callout posts because they like being in the know about the drama, not because they actually care.
person a and person b who are mentioned in the DNI / callout aren’t the only ones who are going to be affected. your friends, your mutuals, your writing partners are now all put in a weird spot where you have to pick sides on an issue you know nothing about and shouldn’t have to know anything about. you’re asking people to choose sides on an issue they cannot fully understand, and that’s not fair to them or to you. and it drives great people away. and then we all lose out on having more awesome people in the rpc.
you’re entitled to your safe space, but this is a public platform and you are also responsible for maintaining your safe space. you shouldn’t put it entirely on other people to do that for you. you can block, blacklist, make up funny names for, or spitefully erase from your many anything and anyone that you wish. but you shouldn’t make your friends do it for you.
there’s always an inherent power imbalance when any kind of drama occurs between those who have more followers / friends / connections and those who do not. and the smaller blog is always going to suffer a little bit more because they don’t have people blindly coming to their defense.
bad moments, bad experiences, bad decisions DO NOT equal bad people.
allow people to make up their own mind about something or someone
anywho, if you read through this whole thing i think i owe you financial compensation. but also thank you for reading / listening / considering. even if you rolled your eyes through the whole thing like “stfu lia” that’s fine. i’m just presenting an alternative thought. i’d like to once again state: i’m not judging you if you’ve made a callout/DNI or if you’re on a callout/DNI. like i literally don’t care. and frankly, in my opinion, i shouldn’t have to. because i, and you, and your friends, and your mutuals, and your non-mutuals should be allowed the space to make up their own opinion and mind on something or someone without being told that there will be consequences if they don’t agree with you. set boundaries. communicate in healthy ways. you don’t have to forgive the people who have hurt or wronged you, but you also don’t get to decide that their actions make up 100% of who they are as a person, or decide that that is the only side of that person people should get to see.

i’ve been debating a lot in the past few weeks about whether to post something about this, but seeing as there are a lot of people talking about @londonhq at the moment, i wanted to share my experience with them.
NOTE: i have posted screenshots of the conversation in a private post HERE. i will be pasting them in as text in this post instead of as photos because that is more accessible, but you can also view the screenshots so you can see i have not edited the text in any way.
i reached out to the main about three weeks ago because i was concerned about the lack of diversity in their roleplay. i was also concerned that they were repeatedly posting in the tags about how they were looking for more diverse characters and were inclusive of all muses, while doing nothing to actually promote diversity amongst their existing players. at the time, they had 4 poc characters out of a total of 36. three of these characters were white-passing. this, of course, does not erase their identities as people of colour, but it is quite worrying when it is your only form of representation.
as i’m sure many of you who regularly play muses of colour can attest to, it is incredibly intimidating to join a predominantly white group, as far too often characters who are not white can be ignored by other players. therefore, no matter how much the admins say how inclusive and welcoming the group is, you are immediately wary of joining. to that effect, i reached out to the main with the following message, suggesting that they put a rule in place that encourages existing members to use faceclaims of colour if they wish to play multiple characters. again, i have copied this as text to make it more accessible, you can find the screenshots HERE.
waitresslondon: hi, i saw your rp in the tags and i just wanted to shoot you a message because i am really concerned about the lack of diversity. i can see that you have repeatedly posted in the tags stating that you are accepting of all muses and looking for more diversity, but it doesn't appear that you have put any rules in place to actually fix this issue? i.e. people who play multiple characters must make sure that a certain number of them are poc. diversity in an rp starts with the admins: if you don't put something in place, you can't expect people to come to you with their muses of colour, because we can't believe they will be accepted in such a white-dominated rp. especially when the last time someone asked you about diversity, the admin who responded literally listed the poc muses like they were tokens (especially because you could count them on one hand!). i hope this doesn't come off as an attack, i really hope you take what i have said into consideration and put measures in place going forward. i am happy to help you as much as i can if you would like any advice etc. especially because i live in london!
here is the previous ask i referenced in my message, which they had answered a few weeks before i reached out:
Tumblr media
[ IMAGE ID: A screenshot taken from londonhq of an anonymous message reading: “How diverse is your roleplay? On average if you do not have an exact number.” The response from londonhq reads: “Are you able to define the word ‘diverse’ and in what context?” ]
Tumblr media
[ IMAGE ID: A screenshot taken from londonhq of an anonymous message reading: “Most definitely. What I meant was your number of poc within the rp.” The response from londonhq reads: “I feel pretty confident that we are quite diverse with our face claim especially since we have the following POC’s in the roleplay; Amandla Stenberg, Ana De Armas, Jordan Fisher, Zayn Malik, Zendaya and we are always encouraging and wanting more, a lot if not all of our Most Wanted are actually POC because I would personally would love to see more colour on our dash. I will say that I think we could be MORE diverse but also that we are doing what we can by promoting for more POC faces in order to attract those kinds of players and muses. I hope this answers your question” ]
I personally believe that my concerns were valid and that my message was incredibly reasonably. I purposefully reached out to them in private as I don’t believe in public callout posts without giving someone a chance to rectify their behaviour. The roleplay then got back to me with the following response (again, the original screenshots are here):
londonhq: Hi there. While I appreciate your message and I don’t take it as an attack we here at Londonhq do all that we can to try and get diversity into our group. I myself play an Ana de Armas who is considered POC. Everyone can play who they want because it’s a roleplay and I strongly encourage people to play who they feel comfortable with. In saying that we do have some POC in the group like Emeraude Toubias ( Mexican and Lebanese ), Ana de Armas ( Cuban and Spanish ) as I mentioned, Odette Anabelle ( Cuban, Spanish, French, Italian ) which this is just the start I can ensure you that London is doing the best we can to be a safe place for POC. While I can agree rules can reinforce this I would like londonhq to be a place where people can play who they feel comfortable with and I personally don’t see the harm in this as muse is something that comes naturally to people and you can’t force people to play muses they don’t want to play. If people don’t want to bring POC here that’s completely fine I can’t change their attitude on things, that’s a decision they have made but there are people here planning on bringing in POC and the more that they do hopefully the more they will feel comfortable to do so.
I was so saddened to receive this message and responded as such, because I simply cannot believe that they don’t see the harm in a group of players who are supposedly only comfortable playing white characters? Especially when they are promoting it as somewhere welcoming and inclusive. Sorry this one’s a long one!
waitresslondon: i won’t lie, i was incredibly disappointed to read your response. especially because I specifically mentioned the last response listing poc characters like tokens, which is the exact same thing you did in your reply just now. i reached out to you in the hopes that you were willing to listen and take an active part in making the rpc and your rp specifically more diverse and accepting. from your reply i can clearly see that that is not the case.
quite frankly, 4 out of 36 characters being portrayed by faceclaims of colour is not enough. it is nowhere near enough. especially when three of them are white passing. of course that does not erase their identity as a poc, but when it is you only form of representation it is not even close to being acceptable. like i said, just saying that you would like more poc muses isn’t “doing everything you can.” when i look at your masterlist, it immediately makes me think that my muses of colour will not be accepted in your rp. characters of colour are so often ignored and passed over for plots, which makes people incredibly wary about joining rps with their diverse muses, so please do consider that seeing a masterlist as overwhelmingly white as yours is an instant red flag.
change starts with YOU, the admins. if you want a diverse rp, you need to play diverse characters. you need to encourage your members to do the same, specifically like i mentioned with rules about multiple characters. if they are not comfortable playing poc muses, then they do not have to play multiples, but honestly i really can’t believe that you don’t see the issue with a group of writers who are only comfortable playing white characters. you’re telling me that people can happily take 4 or 5 characters and make them all differentiable from each other, but cannot bring themselves to write even one of them as a person of colour. there’s no excuse for it in this day and age honestly, there are countless guides about playing characters of all different backgrounds which are easy to find with very little effort. i’ve also been in and have adminned multiple rps where we have brought in this kind of rule and it absolutely did not stop people from applying for multiple characters. it only served to improve the diversity of faceclaims in the rp and encourage more people to join with their muses of colour.
you said “If people don’t want to bring POC here that’s completely fine I can’t change their attitude on things,” but as an admin you CAN. there are so many people in the rpc who play diverse muses, but without rules in place to make them welcome and wanted, you push them away. so i really must please implore you to look at your rp and the rules and make a positive change. i also can’t help but take it just a little bit personally: london is one of the most diverse cities in the world with over 40% of the population belonging to an ethnic minority, so it really does hurt to see it represented so poorly. again, i reached out to help and that offer still stands, if you are willing.
That was the end of the conversation, as they never responded to that message. This was about three weeks ago now, as I decided to give them time to see if they would adjust their behaviour and make any changes that would make it clear they had taken my criticism on board. Clearly this has not been the case. Below is the only post they have made about the matter:
Tumblr media
[ IMAGE ID: A screenshot taken from londonhq of an admin note reading: “Hey everyone, Admin Armi here. I know there’s been some heavy concerns regarding the lack of diversity in this group and we feel we must address this once and for all. We admins here at LondonHQ have expressed since the opening day that we are a friendly, welcoming, inclusive group. We’d never turn away or even discourage any muse that is a POC or nonbinary, in fact, we highly encourage them! Diversity is greatly welcomed and desired. We’ve done all that we could to express how much we desire more diversity in this group as we’d love to hold true to how diverse London truly is. Now that being said, we cannot and will not force any of our players or applicants to pick up a FC regardless of their ethnicity or gender. As a WOC myself, I would personally find it incredibly offensive to implement such a rule solely based on one’s skin color. We’ve always encouraged our players to pick up the faces they are comfortable with, thus never banning a gender for the sake of the gender ratio. Our players’ comfort, happiness and creativity is our top priority. We welcome all variety of muses here at London. If you strongly feel we need to have more diversity in this group then please send in that app! We’d love to have you! Be the change you want to see. That’s all we have to say regarding this topic. Any further anonymous messages on this matter will be disregarded.” ]
I will let you draw your own conclusions from this post, but to me, it is clear that the lack of diversity in this group is not something they see a problem with nor truly wish to change. I was quite frankly shocked too to read them saying “Be the change you want to see.” As the admins, you need to be that change if you actually want to see it! It is not on your players to make your roleplay more diverse, it is on you.
As just one further point, they also continue to use a PSD that whitewashes the few faceclaims of colour that they have, which is just...yeah, you know, you get it.

raymond headcanons.. they aren't entirely fleshed out and they're like "what if it was like this? that makes sense". so sorry if things dont quite make sense or isn't that thought out.. also there may be errors here and there but this isn't supposed to be a polished document its just a rough collection of headcanons i haven't done much with other than like... thinking of them lol
some of this stuff i've posted before but i'm going to reshare again
polokus in origins is described as "an artist and unabashed hedonist" and i see him as just that. immature. he loves all his creations, of course, but he's not exactly responsible. he sees the nymphs more as friends than his daughters. he's more concerned with people liking him than doing the right thing. when he has his first bad dream, he cowers and doesn't want to do anything about it, or he's too scared? this leads to betilla having to do everything herself, she gets help from the other nymphs and creates rayman
the masks of polokus represent his different formes, or perhaps different eras. polokus is a shapeshifter and can be whatever he wants to of course, but he has a "default" he likes to stick with. when he finally changes his "default", a mask is made of the previous forme. for example, polokus from rayman 2 and polokus from the ubiart games are him in different "eras" if that makes sense. their cultural and historic significance could be expanded upon definitely i think but i havent thought too much more into that lmao. the wiki on rpc says that the four kings look like the masks but that sounds more speculative and feels like a stretch. i don’t buy that at all, i don’t see the resemblance
polokus loves all forms of art, and as a result, a lot of the glade's "religion" boils down to being creative and creating, and a lot of magic in general require some form of art, such as dancing for certain spells (the way teensies open portals in r2 or w/e). the people of the glade create art, sing, dance, to keep polokus inspired, amused, and happy so he doesn't have any more bad dreams. i thought about the nymphs all having a corresponding art form, with, obviously, holly being music and edith being culinary, but im not sure what annetta or helena would be. helena maybe textiles... annetta im not sure what i would do with her since she's the most... withdrawn nymph
polokus’ feelings on rayman’s existence are complicated since he is the only creature not created by him. he doesn’t know what he’s capable of, but he’s done a lot already in terms of stopping nightmares and foreign threats such as the pirates. he’s impressed, intrigued... a bit intimidated maybe..... he respects rayman and does love him (polokus has to love every creature after all)
im not sure if the muse of the poets is considered to be actual canon since it appears she was only mentioned in a license guide and not in any other official media. but she's a popular character and i like her too so she gets mentioned. she and polokus fall in love and she has their children, the teensies. she is disgusted by them and runs away, leaving them and polokus forever. she is disgusted by herself, too. if her children are ugly, she must be ugly as well. she becomes obsessed with making herself beautiful, and having beautiful children. she eventually becomes begoniax, which you know how that turns out...
betilla: polokus' pride and joy, she loves him as a father, but is disappointed with his lack of responsibility. when she was younger she was very mischevious and much like him. she learned magic just to be able to pull pranks perform elaborate pull magic tricks. eventually when the first bad dream happened, it was a wake up call. she tried to get him to do something about jano but he wouldn't respond to her. she took matters into her own hands since she was the most magically capable of anyone she knew. with the help of the other nymphs, they created rayman. she's been the "responsible" one ever since. if you catch her in a good mood she might be a bit playful but her days of frivolity are long gone. likes to knit and crochet when she has the time (which is rarely), and spend time with her sisters.
other nymphs: i dont have quite as many headcanons about them, but they are rayman's aunts obviously. edith is rayman's favourite aunt since she's a good cook, followed by holly, who has taught him everything he knows about music. helena is very enthusiastic and a bit overbearing. annetta is the aunt that never shows up to anything
the nymphs all have an element tied to them. betilla and fee de la mort obviously being life and death. holly is air, edith is fire, anetta is water, and helena is earth. seems pretty obvious this part but i've rarely seen ppl attribute helena with earth despite the fact she lives on a mountain...? (stone men, stone dogs, golly g....)
ly is interested in the magical workings of the world and is especially fascinated with lums and their power. betilla sees her potential as a magic user and has accepted her as her pupil. another reason betilla has taken a liking to ly is that she reminds her of her own youth, since ly is fairly playful as well, using magic for tricks. ly is initially just interested in rayman because of the fact he's a being entirely made out of lums, but it eventually turns into a genuine, and close, friendship.
a lot of fairies and some teensies can make "weak" silver lums to give to rayman, but they might not do much, or the effects are temporary. only ly and the nymphs are able to give rayman powers with "stronger" silver lums.
polokus does not dream of every individual in the glade. he dreamt of the first peoples of each species, then they procreate by themselves. most places in the glade are natural, similar to earth, but polokus' dreams may affect them (the icy parts of gourmand land is an obvious example. giant fruit? that's silly)
teensies: naturally hairless and there is little dimorphism between the sexes. their fashion is inspired by the fairies', and have adopted to wear wigs, false eyelashes, fake facial hair, etc. all teensies have the ability to perform magic but they have to actively for it to be useful. teensies with an interest in magic will attend a magic school. the best of the best of teensie magic users can become a minimus, and, of course, the best out of THEM become the grand minimus. there are many teensie races, and each may vary in size, colour (turquoise like in the ubiarts, more grey like in 2 and 3. usually just varying shades of blue), markings, nose length and shape. some races may be more adept at certain magic styles than others.
mr dark: i have some ideas but nothing concrete. might not even go with this story as my definitive headcanon. fairy. he was always critical of polokus, and after the first bad dream, that made him hate the god even more. he was the one who wanted to stop jano, and maybe become someone powerful enough to be seen as the glade's new "god" or whatever. betilla has proven herself to be the better magic user after the creation of rayman. polokus' main thing was that he was the creator, he was able to create life, and now betilla's able to create life. she may as well be polokus! she's a threat! when he steals the protoon/heart of the world and eventually kidnaps betilla, he uses her power to create dark rayman/raymesis. raymesis is *not* was not created by dark by himself, and he would not have been able to pull off this feat without betilla's knowledge of creating "thingamajigs". rayman and raymesis are the only two thingamajigs known in existence, both created by betilla. not saying it's impossible that others could exist, but they would have to be dreamt into existence by polokus.
dark's obsession with being the most powerful person in the world and becoming a god is why he stole the heart of the world, of course. ales mansay would take inspiration from this event. his views are similar to dark's, that's why he worships him. polokus is a terrible god, he lets people suffer. rayman is a terrible hero, all he does is sleep. ales knows he wouldn't be able to reach the heart of the world and instead tries to build his “own” using lums (maybe not exactly but something comparable... the heart of the world is made up of lums after all). i know that's like, duh, canon information, but it was never stated *WHY* he looks up to mr dark. so now you know why. its bc they both hate polokus

🔥 🔥 🔥 // regards role-play.
@s-talking
Send me a “ 🔥 “ for an unpopular opinion. x 3
I’m not sure if these would be unpopular. I started to rp on Tumblr in 2013 and my experience has been positive for the most part. There were a couple of situations that were rough, but that’s a rarity. But based on some experiences I’ve seen, I have a few things about rp in general. It’s below since it’s a bit long.
1. Everyone has the right to post what they want on their blog. I’m not against it and people have rights to share what’s on their mind. The thing is that if all you post is ooc stuff, especially that being negative all the time, then I get a bit uncomfortable with that. I don’t mean a few here or there, and using tags and read mores are okay. What I mean is that’s all someone posts on a rp blog.
Sometimes, I worry if I do the same like making a post rambling about cultural things that’s not relevant to Harmony, or whether I posted too many memes.I may say something about a couple things in my personal life, but I try to keep it to a minimum because I want to have my rp blog focus on Harmony. Sometimes, I get excited about something and want to share but I try to be careful with that and not make it the main focus on this blog.  I had thoughts of reviving my personal blog so I can talk about culture, stories about my travels and work, and pictures of places I went.
This isn’t to say no one is allowed to post what they want. It’s just with a rp blog, it can’t be like 95% of the content. Personal blogs can help mitigate that. So can using read mores and tags, or even reaching out to friends privately instead.
Because of this, I have an open door policy to offer a safe place for people to vent or talk without having to post it. If being there for someone and listening or reading why they say helps, then I’m happy to do that.
2. I know this might be a bit touchy for some people, but it is something that I think needs to be said. It’s tricky to write as a muse who is of a different race or ethnicity. This is especially true with Indigenous muses and non-Indigenous muns. People can get upset and say that’s racism.
Indigenous people don’t have a lot of representation in media, and when they are in media, they are seen as blatant stereotypes. So, it’s understandable to be wary about things like that. However, some people go overboard. People get discouraged and called racists for writing a muse that is not the mun’s race, or drawing art of characters too. That can be damaging to people who have no intention to be racist. It’s not fair to police everyone who work hard on their muses and do their best to represent them appropriately.
The difference between when it’s okay and when it’s not okay is whether the person is willing to learn about their muse’s background. This includes reading about our history and cultures, and asking Indigenous People questions about their lives.
As an Indigenous woman, I will say this: Most of us are more than happy to share who we are to the world. We want to share our histories, our traditions, our beliefs, and our lives with people who want to listen. We want to help in giving accurate depictions of Indigenous characters in media and it that means learning about who we are, then we’re all for it.  We are always open to offering information of who we are and just as curious to learn about who you are as well.  Never be afraid to ask questions if it will help improve the Indigenous muse. I think the same can be said for other ethnicities and races too.
So, even if someone is not Indigenous or the same race as their muse, as long as the mun is careful, respectful, and willing to learn about the muse and their culture, then that’s perfectly fine and no one should bash them for it. All that’s needed is presenting that muse with care, love, and respect.
The only time when it’s not okay is if the person doesn’t want to learn and prefers to use stereotypes, or present that muse or character out of spite or just to be disrespectful.
3.  This one is a bit tough because I’m not sure what else to say that may be unpopular. This one might be more accepting in the rpc but I want to bring it up anyway since it’s something everyone should be aware of.
RP is for fun, but it requires communication. Like, if there’s an issue or a problem about interactions or what’s going on in a thread, then that should be discussed. It’s also important to speak up if something makes you uncomfortable and see what can be done to solve the problem. There is no need to vague blog or attack people with Anon. It only stirs more anxiety and cause rifts. It’s better to reach out and start a conversation on how to resolve the issue.

We’ve arrived at day four, everyone! Today, the admin team would like to take a moment to appreciate one another. Running a group for two years comes with many moments of excitement and joy. It’s incredible to see the plot make leaps and bound forwards, and watch characters that first began in our heads flourish into the player’s own on the dash. It also, admittedly, comes with its challenges; challenges we embrace with enthusiasm as a team, relying on one another and encouraging one another when life gets demanding.
For a DiVerona admin history lesson — Rosey and Jen first opened the group together in August 2018, preparing diligently to launch DiVerona and bring it to Tumblr after a few years of hiatus. Minnie acted as an invisible admin beginning August 2018, offering advice when requested, and came on as an official admin in MAY, 2019. Julie joined our team as the graphics admin in JULY, 2019 and ushered in a beautiful era and graphics revamp for Act II. Last, but certainly not least, Rogue was welcomed to the admin team in APRIL, 2020 to create stunning, heart-wrenching characters and continue building on the momentum of the plot.
Below, you will find a little love letter each admin wrote for one another. For this particular day, we will not be requiring any activity from our members. Feel free to take a break! If you’d like to show admin appreciation, you are free to do so, but we are not expecting it and hope you do not feel pressured to do so.
Thank you all for a wonderful two years of being admins of an incredible group like DiVerona!
JEN
My fire sign soulmate, my BITCH. As an admin, you bring aLL of the Montague spirit and heart and fire, and it shows in how passionate you are when guiding DiVerona’s story and development. Your creativity? Your flair for drama that inspires the most game-changing plot drops and the most iconic line in this group’s history? I mean, who else could have come up with infant king? For me, Jen, you embody the creative and collaborative spirit of DiVerona, and I treasure the fun you bring to the group and to the team. On a personal level, you have shown up for me time and time again. For that, I am so, so thankful for you. Your honesty is invaluable to me, whether you’re telling me I’m being impulsive or need to calm the hell down. You’re the sense of humor when we need it most, the ride-or-die who both starts adventures and cleans up the messes after, and my dear friend. — MINNIE
I’ve never met someone as passionate as you. You stick to your guns the whole way down and there’s something so deeply admirable in that -- you take such great pride in the things you do and how hard you work and what you bring to the table both as a writer and as an admin. We have exactly the same sense of humor and I love sending you memes and text posts through Discord at like, four in the morning, and seeing a reply from you when I wake up. It’s like taking a shot of orange juice right after rolling out of bed. Wakes me right up! You’re dedicated to the end, even when you’ve struggled, and I think that spokes both to your character and who you are as a friend. You’re like a sister to me in the sense I feel like we see right through each other, and I couldn’t be happier to know someone like you and get to work with you, even on opposite sides of the world. Our calls together are one of my favorite things to do -- we just click. <3 -- JULIE
Getting closer to you, Jen, has been one of my favorite parts of coming online as an admin. I have always admired you, I’ve always loved writing with you, but being your friend is one of the most rewarding things in the world. You have such fierce passion for things, all this burning intensity inside of you and an unflinching way of confronting the world that leaves me in absolute awe. The way you can always see around the corner to what a character needs (rather than what they want or what they might say) gives you such a great ability to build masterful plots and expand our world. Our shared weird insomnia has led to so many absolutely insightful, ridiculous, very hazy conversations, and I am shocked the team has put up with us for this long, but also more glad than anything in the world. Every word you write is precious to me, in character or out, and I’m going to save all of them forever so I can drag you within an inch of your life at ANY moment. Like a clingy little barnacle. I treasure both the experience of working creatively with you and of getting absolutely nothing done with you, and I love you with all my heart!! — ROGUE
to my idiot jen, sometimes i really can’t believe how we found each other again. i truly believe that it was no less than fate (and my utter disregard for any sense of self-preservation) that we would come into each other’s lives right when we did. i have never really questioned why or thought too much on how - because truly i cant really recall a moment where i didn’t know everything about you. there are so many things that i love about you: your tuna sandwiches and food pictures, our really really extensive aus, sharing with me every little frightening piece of your heart, forcing vulnerability and honesty and unconditional LOVE and being so very patient with me...over the past two years there has been so much that i’ve learned about you and still so much that there is still left to learn and love. i adore you to the moon and back you idiot. - ROSEY
JULIE
Hopefully you're not cringing too hard over this Very Formal Approach that I'm taking but trust me, if I could throw a meme in here somewhere I WOULD. Anyway, ever since you came on board, you've been nothing but a blessing to the team, and I mean that in every sense of the word. Your graphics and aesthetic vision for the group have inspired us in amazing ways, and beyond that you've lifted the team up with your pragmatic sense of judgement and gentle sensitivity to things. You really represent both sides of the same coin, dude, like… IT BLOWS MY MIND. I'm so happy to be sharing this anniversary with you, and I'm so proud of you and how far you've come ever since I met you, not just when it comes to the growth of your incredible talents but also when it comes to your writing and your maturity and pretty much everything about you. Thank you for being part of this amazing journey with us. I wouldn’t want to share it with anyone else. — JEN
Goosie, I really think you’re the closest thing to a renaissance woman I’ve met, not just in ability but also in who you are. Our entire admin team is pretty creative and original, but you are I think the true artist among us! And while your graphics are truly godlike and unlike anything I’ve ever seen in the RPC before, it’s in your writing I see it most. You’re the most versatile member on the admin team, Goosie, and I think you ground us in so many ways. Not just in doing major graphic makeovers or writing the single most iconic plot drop of DIVerona, but also with your kindness, compassion, intuition and self-awareness. I really would feel a little lost without you, Goosie - not only as an admin, but as a person! Every time you speak, I want to listen; every time you create anything, I want to frame it in a museum. I love you to fucking BITS, and I am genuinely so proud to call you buddy. (I thought about using friend instead, but buddy felt more accurate for us…) — MINNIE
Where would I begin? How can I even write a note when I feel like everything I do and every act I take is part of how much I love you, because it’s like, an entirely indelible part of me? Julie, you’re one of the most talented people in the world. Literally. Your writing is so piercing, so emotionally intelligent and brave and just vulnerable in a way I’ve never seen. Your graphics and art have such a passion to them; I think I love them because they’re beautiful, but I know I love them because I see little parts of you in them that delight me every time. I would crawl across broken glass to be a part of anything you do; I feel so lucky that I’m someone who often gets to see your works in progress, the messy edges of things, the half-finished projects. You bring such warmth to the team and such a grounded, different perspective; there have been so many times where we would entirely miss things if you hadn’t pointed them out when we were blind. You are our cornerstone, the one who anchors and glues us all together in so many ways, and I want to bask in that warm glow of your sunlight forever. — ROGUE
to my dearest julie, i wish i could just put a cody ko meme here but i am ABSTAINING EVEN THOUGH I FEEL LIKE YOU KNOW WHICH CODY KO MEME I WOULD PUT HERE. whenever i think about the times that i dragged you back into my life...like there are so many things in life i thank god i did but keeping you in it EVEN WHEN YOU TRIED TO ESCAPE MY CLUTCHES - that is number 1. having late night conversations with you about literally everything and anything makes my heart feel so full. you have been so much to me and trying to put it into words is really really difficult because none of them feel like they’re ever going to be enough. i love you for so many reasons: your humility, your determination to be there whenever, every single video and podcast you send me, your ability to listen and make people feel heard. you are special and if we are to take on this world i thank god i get to take it on with you. i love you. -- ROSEY
MINNIE
We complete each other and THAT'S JUST THE TEA. I admit, I can be a little over the top and just Too Much sometimes, but you always get me, and it's something that I appreciate more than I can put into words. You're the rock of this team, Minnie, and even though it's a pretty lame way of saying it, it feels right. I truly don't know where the team would be without you, but I know it wouldn't be anywhere near where it is now. You have a way of holding us together, of keeping us steady when we're weighed down or doubtful, with your kind heart, endless calm and unconditional support. I honestly don't know what to thank you for because it feels like there's way too many things and I wouldn't even know where to begin… but thank you for being here and being at our side through everything. I'm so proud of you and the amazing, one of a kind person that you are, and I wouldn't wanna share such a special moment with anyone else. — JEN
When it comes down to it, I think the best word to describe you would be a powerhouse. I’ve never met a woman in my life who works quite as fucking hard as you do -- and if not harder, then smarter, y’know? This past year I’ve spent getting to know you more and more, slowly wheedling you into opening up (motherfucker! We are Known in this house!) and sharing bits and pieces of myself, I’ve come to admire you just for who you are as a person. I’ve learned so much from you in standing my ground and not letting the wind blow me over. You’re funny and witty and sharp as a knife when it comes to your style of prose, and your love not just for Maeve and Paola but for the group shine through everything you do. You’ve held us all together like glue when we needed some extra assistance and let us know when we needed to pick things up, too. You’re open and honest with your feelings and I value that so much about you, knowing I can come to you and lay the cards down and ask your opinion on things and you’ll give it to me straight. I’ve never really had someone “at my back” in the sense of friendship, but oh man, Minnie, you make me feel safe, and I think you’ll know how much that means when I say it. -- JULIE
Oh, no, I’ve already been so embarrassing about how much I love you Minnie!! I suppose it’s only right I do it on main as well. I genuinely feel like I haven’t had another friend in my life who balances with me so well. When we’re united and on our peak shit, we complete each other, shoring up the places where we’re both insecure, making us both feel safer with each other nearby. I’ve written some of my favorite dynamics in RP with you, here at DV, and I don’t think I’d have grown half so much in my outside life or my rp life without you there to talk to. You are also the absolute rock of this team, to steal Jen’s words. When we’re all freaking out and afraid to act or worried about getting stuff wrong, you cut through everyone’s bullshit and get right to the heart of the matter. Your direct and straightforward way of speaking and of loving is a force for good in the world and on the team, and you are also maybe one of the funniest people alive, or at least in my acquaintance. I love your laugh, I love how open you are with your heart when you’re with us, I love you so very much. I want to write with you and talk to you for as long as you let me. — ROGUE
to twin-flame minnie, i wish you could see my face as i type this because this amount of vulnerability is making me like...ew. but minnie your soul resonates with me so much - never would i have ever thought in the time that we’ve known each other (it really did start with a conversation about glitter and then somehow just expanded from there and tbh i am not at all surprised) that i would bare myself to you as much as i have and felt completely and totally understood without having to say things in so many words. i cannot wait for the day when i can sweep you into my arms in a great big hug and i probably will cry when i do because i love you so much. there are too many things to love about you: from your signature giggle, to your ability to take on the world, to your conscientious growth as a person...you give me so much hope. and i don’t think it’s necessary to say anything more than that. i love you. -- ROSEY
ROGUE
When you first joined, you fit into the team so naturally, Rogue, it honestly felt as though you had always been a part of it. I remember being SHOOK AS FUCK at all the incredible things that you were doing in NO TIME, like, right from the start, you crafted the most amazing bios, offered the most rich and intriguing input for the plot, and helped us when it comes addressing issues and concerns in a way that made it all so much easier to tackle over time. Not to mention your sunny presence and the unconditional support that you offer, which never fail to brighten everything when we hit a bump in the road or things get a little tough. It's amazing to consider all that you've achieved and all the ways you've uplifted the team despite being with us for the least amount of time. In my eyes, you've always been with us, and I'm SO fucking proud of you and happy to be sharing all of this with you. Thank you for being a part of this team, and a part of this journey with me. — JEN
Maybe it’s a little cheesy to say, but I think the universe meant for us to meet, and having you on the team with us is a gift. We all mesh together so well and you pull things up out of nowhere on the fly, whether it be individual character plot development or actually writing The Most Iconic Plot Drop Of All Time(TM) and letting me tack on a little flourish at the end. You’re like... the cheese to my cracker, the whipped cream to my slice of pie, the biscuit with my coffee. We complete each other, and you listen to me when I really need to just word vomit all over the floor about something either entirely related or all too related, from time to time. I know if I need to call you anytime I can, and maybe my favorite memory of 2020 so far has been us watching Cats together and just suffering the entire time, but getting through it together. You’re funny, smart, endlessly endearing, work harder than the devil when it comes to threads and replies, and I’m grateful as all get out to have you with me in life!! -- JULIE
ROGUE, YOU REALLY CAME IN HERE AND SAID YEAH, I’M GOING TO SHAKE SHIT UP FROM DAY ONE. Whew, I remember one week you knocked out like four bios back-to-back and I just stood there trying to stop myself from booking a flight to your city and camping out in front of your house like the stan that I am. Sometimes, I still can’t believe there was a day you weren’t on the admin team because you not only fit seamlessly, but you also are just so essential now. Everything you’ve done in the few months since you joined our team, Rogue, has been *chef’s kiss* flawless. From the characters that I’m ANXIOUS to see on the dash to the ways you’ve helped guide our decisions and responses, I can’t imagine DiVerona and the admin team without you anymore! You brighten my day on a daily basis, and I love brainstorming with you, screaming with you, and I just love YOU! — MINNIE
to baby rogue, you see and know my True Sinner Nature rogue and the fact that you, in turn, have shared yours with me makes me feel so warm and bubbly inside - as well as makes me giggle. we really do have this habit of taking little smidgens of inspiration and connections and growing them into something extraordinary. geeking out about anything and everything within that encyclopedic brain of yours is one of my favorite things - our late night conversations, watching cursed together, plucking characters and plots from each other’s names as if they were already written in the stars...i dont know how to live without. there are so many things that i love about you: how you want to make everyone feel seen, how inclusive you are and kind, how you foster such creativity to others...i love and treasure you so very much. and we have so many more characters and worlds to explore together. -- ROSEY
ROSEY
I don’t think I'll ever forget the day that you asked me if I'd like to be an admin and offered me a spot on the team. It was just you, me and Bree back then and I was way in over my head, but you made me feel at home without even trying, honestly. DV is my first longstanding admin experience and truly the best one I've ever had, and it’s all thanks to you, which is something that I'll always cherish and keep close to my heart. I've looked up to you, learned a lot from you and felt inspired by you over the years, not just because everything was so new to me at the start, but because you're a guiding light for anyone who's lucky enough to have you in their life and share with you the experiences that I have. I'm so incredibly proud of everything we've done together, and proud of you most of all. Thank you for being the one to bring me along for this amazing journey, Rosey, and thank you for going through it with me for two amazing, unforgettable years. — JEN
I think, sometimes, that people think I’m joking when I tell them you saved my life, Rosey Ro, but you did, in a way that I would never have guessed. I felt utterly alone, coming fresh out of a physically and mentally abusive relationship, juggling court dates and other things that seemed impossible to conquer. I’d left Diverona unsure of my present, what I’d considered my past, and my future, but I happened to log into Discord one day and came upon that good ole’ 9+ messages notification. All of them were from you. Every single one. It felt like a sign, of some kind, and so, as I scraped my life together, we chatted and I re-apped for DV, and in spite of tumultuous times on both our ends, I don’t regret a fucking minute of it. You have truly helped me in figuring out who I am as an individual person, where I fit in the world, and with every crisis and “OH SHIT” moment, you’ve been there for me, whether it was in your writing, your jokes, late night calls with you, messages over Whatsapp knee-deep in irritation or excitement. You’re the older sister I never got to have. Without Diverona, my life wouldn’t be the same. Without you, my life wouldn’t be the same. I love you so much. -- JULIE
How far we’ve come since we talked about Greek life parties and glitter… Rosey, my sister sign and my mirror, the mother to my father, I love you very much. Your creativity is – as we all can tell from DiVerona’s success – UNMATCHED, and your heart goes even deeper than I think most people realize. For someone who writes some of the scariest and evilest characters, you are one of the most considerate, thoughtful and empathetic people I’ve yet to meet. Thank you for creating this space and reminding us time and time again that we’re more than just admins; we’re individuals with Big Feelings as well as Big Brains. You did an amazing job, Rosey. It doesn’t get said enough, and if I could, I would tattoo it to your brain if it meant it would stick: you created a beautiful group, and no one can take that away from you. — MINNIE
Rosey, Rosey, Rosey. All of this is your fault. I never thought I would join any kind of mafia RP, always having been prone to more fantastical settings in my preferences, but when you asked me to look around at the bios, how could I say no? How could I have known it would entirely change my life? Before DV and in DV, you and I have written some of my favorite relationships to work on, some of my favorite threads of all time. You pull out such creativity from me that I never would’ve imagined existed in my brain. I love you such a ridiculous amount. I could, would, and do talk to you about anything and everything. I want to spend like 50 years of my life fighting with you over whether Hope from Legacies is hot and indulging in our weird shared white boy thirsts. You are so funny, so talented, so bright, so interesting and I don’t know how I got so lucky as to be your friend. If you and I aren’t writing together when we’re 80 it’s because I died early and tragically and you wore a sexy fascinator to my funeral. — ROGUE

What was your first impression of the roleplay community on Tumblr? And what’s your impression of it now?
Mun’s Asks: RP Edition
Tumblr media
1.) What was your first impression of the roleplay community on Tumblr? And what’s your impression of it now?
[OOF STRAP IN INTREPID]
I’ve been on this hellsite since the beginning but I really only started RPing here after a few years.  Probably in 2012 or 2013? I can’t remember exactly when but I remember being very intimidated by the idea of RP on this platform in particular. There is a bit of a steep learning curve in terms of etiquette here that is even steeper when you factor in the near requirement for tumblr-literacy.  Like you basically need xkit to RP and you need to understand what kinds of asks get eaten and when/how cuts work and what behaviors do and don’t cause notifications and how ask posts work and how the block/blacklist features do and dont work and what tags tumblr will and wont index etc etc.  When you’re a tumblr old head it’s easy to forget newcomers don’t immediately know things like that. It’s part of the reason why I tend to be very basic in my approach compared to what is popular at the moment. I was one of those fabled newcomers at one point.
I don’t really think that tumblr RPC is any better or worse now than it was back then, just different. A lot of what’s popular now was a thing back then, but now it’s more commonplace in a much smaller population of RPers. I wouldn’t say that the RPC has many new problems as much as I would say the old problems have intensified.
When I started out I was in a fandom that was very cliquey and made me feel like shit a lot and those spaces probably still exist on tumblr but the difference is I know what my boundaries are and what behaviors I will and wont tolerate on my dash.  Overall the RPC is much better at talking about things like that than it used to be imo. That same fandom I just shit on was also a lot of fun and taught me that it was okay to not take RP too seriously and not be too worried about if it looks pretty enough or was fancy enough. I’m really grateful for people who would RP with me back then even though I unknowingly broke a lot of tumblr RPC’s unwritten rules.
That’s why it’s very important to me as a seasoned RPer to be as approachable a blog as I can possibly be. In this the lords year of 2020 I still feel myself being set in my ways and avoiding trends that are ultimately harmless, but there is an extent to which I have to participate in order to be courteous to others so I do my best to be open minded about Neo RPC Trends. I end up being of two minds just about everything that’s popular right now.
Take for example reblog karma / I AM NOT A MEME SOURCE type rules. I think that’s shits dumb, you guys can reblog anything you want from me, in fact reblogging it from me heightens the chances of me sending you one whether you sent me one or not. I’m not gonna get mad at you for using the website as it is intended by the devs to be used, but also if somebody else’s rules say it bugs them to have memes rbed from them, then I think their feelings are more important than my opinion on the matter. People are more important to me than policies in cases like these, so of course I’ll reblog the meme from the source instead of you or w/e.
But at the same time, that idea about feelings also includes the feelings of people who are new to RP and maybe don’t even know the etiquette well enough to know they’re messing up.  There’s a lot to get mad about in the current state of tumblr RP but even when I agree that I want this particular tedium done, I don’t really agree with the idea that I should make it a rule that forces other people to stay away from me. Yes I dont want to be ponging an ask post back and forth. Yes I want our posts cut.  But also, I wont get mad if you rb an ask instead of putting it in a new post. I’ll just put in a new post myself. I wont get mad if you dont cut a post, I’ll just cut it myself. It’s not hard to do.
Take also graphics, banners, and all manner of fancy formatting. RPC has really really leaned into that a lot more than back in 2013. On the one hand, I think that’s great. People are so creative. Their stuff looks so pretty, and I really like the work people put in. I don’t think it’s a bad thing necessarily, but on the other hand it does heighten that already steep barrier for entry imo, especially in circles that require it and judge based upon it. For me it’s more important to avoid looking like that’s an expectation of mine. Like, I can do that stuff. I do sometimes, actually. I make icons in batches of hundreds, I take commissions for RP graphics, don’t tell anybody. I’m a freelance illustrator and I know my way around the adobe creative suite-- I CAN make these things and I do for other people, but I can’t be called to do it for myself in most cases. When I see a blog with very nice graphics I immediately assume they don’t care to interact with me. In fact I still tend to unfairly think this even when they’ve shown me otherwise. If we don’t have a long term rapport and you’re a blog with nice graphics and I reply to your posts, what you’re seeing is a neurotic prey animal that is afraid of you signaling alarm.  For whatever reason I tend to interpret very fancy looking blogs as confident and happy in their own existing bubbles with no particular interest in newcomers. I know that’s not always a fair assumption to make--it’s a problem with me that I need to work on--but also I know other people deal with similar feelings. That’s why I don’t feel particularly called to make much beyond the most basic of graphics most of the time and I’m highly avoidant of anybody who seems like graphics are a requirement for interactions with them. Not everybody has photoshop. Not everybody is skilled at that sort of thing. I don’t want people to think that I will judge their style based on what my own style looks like, so I don’t invest much in it. Again, there’s nothing wrong with graphics, but it’s more important to me than anything else that I am approachable and I make other people on the dash as comfortable as I can. I’m glad that it seems like a requirement for cohesive graphics has waned over the last few years.
But, yea. I’d say this duality--the “this is cool but also I have reasons I feel I shouldn’t participate”--is how I feel about pretty much everything that’s big right now.  And like don’t even get me started on the anxiety RPC has around things like soft blocking and mutuals and multiples and “quality”. These things in particular aren’t that new, but a lot of Neo RPC etiquette and trends surrounding those types of anxieties represent a whole quagmire that I try to avoid as much as I can, often to a fault, and lately I’ve realized that in my blanket avoidance I am actually missing out on some things I really should consider doing. My icons could do with some light color retouching. I do want to get my tags together eventually. Permanent starter calls, interests checkers, banners to make asks more easily rebloggable-- these things are functional and can be fun and make RP easier and help people feel emboldened to approach. Like, there are a lot of newish things that are actually cool and I should maybe consider trying them out, but being an oldster has really made me slow to adapt.
So yeah, idk if that was clear at all lol. Take these many, many unnecessary words to say that again, I don’t necessarily think that the current RPC is better or worse in an objective sense, but I do think a lot of the anxieties and trends that were starting in the old RPC have really caught fire now in a way that makes them hard to abstain from even if you want to. Since the RPC is so much smaller now than it was in 2013, you really do have to play ball on these things more than you used to have to in order to find partners. There is a lot of etiquette and anxiety that goes unspoken in the RPC and so I often avoid fairly harmless RPC trends as a means of mitigating that anxiety and clarifying the unspoken as much as I can. Tumblr already has a barrier for entry by being a broken website that hates its rp users, I don’t need to pile on any extra factors to make that barrier to entry look any taller.

RP CANON: Gray – Disbandment of FT and Erza’s influence during the one year
TL;DR- Previously, my version of Gray was super bitter about FT after the disbandment and was struggling a lot with demonic darkness because of his magic and conflicted feelings. He was distancing himself from the guildmembers. But now that I’m less bitter myself, I’m revising things and have included something I felt was missing – a Friendship Speech (of course) – that helps him regain his belief in the guild. So even though he does still have trouble with the demon slaying magic at times, and he’s not ready to forgive Makarov for breaking up the guild, he’s not a mess of Angsty McAngst.
I reflected the other week about how there was a time a few years ago when I felt steeped in bitterness because of the FT manga and rpc, and how some of my personal frustrations skewed some of my portrayals, and how some decent time apart and a recent rewatch/reread of some earlier FT has helped restore things for me. One of the big things that got to me in that bitter time was the FT guild disbanding.
The guild built everything based on their bonds, giving speech after speech about how much the family meant to them and that they’d never give one of their members up.
And then they broke up and moved on. They didn’t have a lot of choice, I know, but then it also seemed like most of them didn’t even keep in contact with each other. And then they were reunited and everything was all good again? No, surely there was some big hurting.
For Gray, who had been put through an emotional blender particularly with the Silver thing and learning new magic so suddenly, the disbandment wasn’t something he could be okay with. And the reunion didn’t sit right either. (As a side note, I had Lucy and Levy as muses back at the time and with my frustration at the FT guild and everything, I had set their main verses as them no longer being in FT – where they had helped get the guild back but with no intention of officially rejoining. Lucy especially was too hurt by Natsu leaving and everything and couldn’t go on with FT. But now i would do things differently).
The portrayal I had for Gray back then was a dark, bitter guy who remained in the guild but no longer felt he could trust it and was struggling mightily with the darkness of the demon slaying magic. It was even getting to the point where I considered him leaving the guild.
And while I’m all for exploring different paths for a muse, I wasn’t really happy with his direction and also felt like his attitude would make interactions too difficult (not that I think a muse should be changed or toned down just for interactions). Rewatching FT made me miss the old Gray and the idea of him being able to have more lighthearted interactions. It also reminded me of the good parts of the FT guild.
I wanted to get my Gray back to feeling the love for FT but couldn’t see how to, especially with where he was currently. And then all the Nakama Power™ speeches got to me and I was inspired. And now here we are – Gray is a firm fairy once again, though the burden of the demon slaying magic still causes issues at times (just not to the degree it was in my previous version of him) and his feelings towards Makarov are shaky.
The below is replacing what I had before and eases up on the poor guy’s struggles.
Following the events of Tartaros, Gray retreated to the mountains bordering Fiore and Iceberg to center himself and begin training. He was accompanied by Juvia and the two were therefore not present when Makarov disbanded the guild and removed the marks of those around.
Deep in seclusion, it was several months later that they heard FT was no more. The guild had been his home and foundation since he was a kid. He had always been taught the bonds were unbreakable, so to hear it was dissolved could not have been more of a shock. He didn’t believe it at first.
His struggle to comprehend this shattering of his life, the hypocrisy of Makarov, caused the issues he’d been having with his demon slaying magic to worsen, creating the dark stain that started to come over him. Juvia also struggled with the news of FT but was a little more concerned with the change in Gray. He distanced himself from her due to the darkness, but she did her best to restore his hope in the guild. Her words helped a little, but it was running into Erza that changed things for him.
The darkness, fueled by his hurt, confusion, and bitterness, had grown stronger, despite help from Porlyusica. He argued with Erza. How could she be okay with FT being gone? Did it not hurt her too? She had been in the guild almost as long as he had. He questioned whether everything had been a lie. Were their bonds nothing after all?
Erza fought back against that, reminding him that they didn’t need to see a guildmark or have a building, or even to see each other in order to believe in each other. She spoke of the hand gesture they all make, the one that represented the idea that even if their paths were different and they couldn’t see each other, they were always watching. She remained sure that Makarov had some reason for what he was doing.
Gray wasn’t convinced about that part, but her words did spark within him and settle most of his heart’s confusion, relieving him of the majority of his darkness and bitterness. Thoughts of how Juvia had stuck with him and how they had helped each other also eased him and reminded him of the power of friendship™ and FT.
When the guild got back together, he did have a few reservations for a while, especially hearing about some of the other guildmembers pain at the separation, as it brought back bitterness about Makarov. Now, things almost feel like they did before, but Gray struggles with his conflicted feelings about Makarov and deep down is aware that things between them can’t quite go back to how they were. Makarov broke the trust of his ‘children’.
But when the bitterness about the disbandment comes, he reminds himself of Erza’s words and how there doesn’t need to be a physical presence/reminder of the guild for it to exist in their hearts. He holds tight to this, and part of him fears letting it go, wary of falling to darkness completely.

fresh out of recruitment szn - sophie’s guide to writing sorority recruitment !
what is up rpc, it’s your friendly neighborhood sorority girl, here to help you out with your greek life writing ! there’s a lot to go into, so let’s just jump in ! click the read more to find out more about writing greek life :)
*disclaimer ! i started my college years at an SEC school and then transferred to a B1G midwestern school, so i’ve got two different experiences in my pocket. both will be touched upon, as well as the experiences of family members who have been through greek life, too !
recruitment is very different based on where you are in the country. i’ll touch upon what i know! let’s start off with some basic terms !
PNM: potential new member - this is a woman coming through recruitment ! she has the potential to become a new member in your chapter. if you call them rushies or something of the like, your chapter will get fined !
PHA/PHC: panhellenic association/panhellenic council: this is the group of chapters at your school. my original university had a 12-chapter phc, and my current has a 16-chapter pha. let’s say your school has organizations ZYX, XYZ, ABC, and ACB. your school has a 4-chapter pha/phc !
recruitment: rush. we do not say rush during recruitment season while within the chapter. everyone knows it as rush, but nobody within a chapter (or, at least, the ones i’ve been in) have called it rush.
let’s get into the week, first from a PNMs point of view!
you’ve all seen those hellscape videos of our first term -- door stacks. a door stack is what it sounds like and what is going on in the hellscape videos - a sorority’s president and vice president of recruitment come out of the house to introduce the chapter to the PNMs. door stacks and bouncing and clapping only happen in the deep south, to my knowledge. think the confederate states. that’s where that stuff happens. bouncing and clapping is the songs that follow the door stack. it’s an introduction to the chapter and its values through song as the PNMs are walked into the house by the sisters.
in the north, the president and vice president of recruitment still come out to introduce/welcome girls back to the house, but there is no singing or chanting involved. PNMs get picked up from the door, welcomed back to chapter XYZ, and led to a spot in the house for discussions.
recruitment will last ~5 days. this will either happen through one week (where girls are brought back to school early from summer or winter break - SEC schools typically do the last week of summer and some other schools that i know about do the last week of winter break) or throughout two weekends when school starts up again (my B1G school does the first two weekends of the winter semester; friday-saturday-sunday and then saturday-sunday.)
the first two days of recruitment are one round ! this round is called meet the chapters/ice water/open house, depending on where you’re going to school. my B1G school calls it MTC, my SEC called it ice water, and other schools i know of called it open house. these rounds last for ~15 minutes - short, sweet, and to the point. PNMs give a brief introduction of themselves - name, major, where they’re from, why they’re coming through recruitment, before the person that picked them up at the door is bumped. (we’ll get to bumping later) PNMs wear jeans and a PHA/C shirt provided to them ! you go to all of the houses on your campus (let’s say that you have 10 houses - you go to all ten)
then, the next day (or two) is philanthropy ! this round is as it sounds like. the members talk about their chapter’s philanthropy. a little more formal, try jeans and a nice sweater. rounds last 30 minutes! with our 10 house example, girls would be invited back to up to 8 houses. you can be cut from more than 8, though -- you would go to anywhere from 1-8 houses.
after that comes sisterhood -- this is when you really get to know a chapter, their girls, and their values. chapters produce a sisterhood video (honestly just type sisterhood video into youtube, you’ll get plenty of examples) to show off their sisterhood ! rounds last 45 minutes, think casual dresses for this one !
the last round is preference (referred to as pref by most people) - pref lasts an hour, the in-house girls are dressed formally (think either cocktail dresses or long dresses), and Deep Conversations are had - think from why did you choose to go through recruitment to what do you really want in a sisterhood to how are you feeling about the process? there is no bumping; only one in-house girl talks to the PNM during pref. this is known as preffing. the in-house girl preffing the PNM has already talked to the girl during the past three rounds and is handpicked to pref her - they typically pick the person who is most likely to get the individual PNM to join the chapter. pref is split into two parts - the conversation, which lasts about 45 minutes, and the ceremony, which lasts about 15. during the ceremony, the chapter has girls speaking about why they joined their chapter, what their chapter gave to them, and there are songs sung just to tug at heartstrings. think songs like take me home country roads and bless the broken road. google pref songs and you’ll get a good list ! it’s a very sentimental ceremony - i cried during my last round of pref this year knowing that i’ll be leaving my sorority come may !
after each round, a PNM ranks the houses that she visits during that round - she has just as much power to drop a house that she didn’t like as the houses have the power to drop her if they think that she isn’t a good match.
after pref is bid day! the stress of the week comes to a close with PNMs officially becoming new members of their new chapter ! we do not say pledges (in most cases, will be touched upon later), we refer to these girls as new members until they’re initiated ! bid day themes are known by the members of an individual chapter, but not to the whole greek community until the night of, when PNMs run down the row to their new houses ! themes can definitely vary, pinterest has a bunch of great examples, and if you just google ‘bid day themes’, you can get a bunch !
NOW, FROM THE IN-HOUSE GIRLS’ PERSPECTIVE !!
before recruitment even begins, the house is divided up ! in the south, there are groups called town groups - this is where all of the girls from in-state talk about the girls who have signed up for recruitment, and then they pick a top 10 of the girls coming through -- these top ten are referred to as (city x)’s top girls. you recruit your top girls to the best of your ability, but top girls should never know they were top girls, even after they (hopefully) end up in your chapter. after that, closer to recruitment, you’re divided up into two groups: recruiters and non-recruiters. non-recruiters are typically called production - they do behind-the-scenes of recruitment, like setting up the drinks/snacks for the PNMs, making decorations for the house, and creating door signs - a door sign is a sign that goes up on a new member’s dorm door on bid day representing her new chapter with her name on it ! this is typically in the shape of one of the symbols of her new chapter. she comes home from bid day to find a nice little welcome on the door of her dorm room, which is sweet.
at my B1G school, we were divided up before recruitment, too. there are your recruiters, who recruit, your decorations committee, who make the decorations for the house, set up the house before rounds, and tear down the previous round’s decor, the logistics committee, whose job it is to keep an eye on the clock and make sure rounds don’t go over time (or else a chapter gets fined!) and the matching committee, who matches PNMs to recruiters within the chapter, trying to find the best personality match! matching committee has long nights - their jobs start after a day ends and PNMs have done their rankings. they get the list of girls coming back to their house late at night (think 10pm or later) and then start their matching.
girls are also divided up into bump groups. this happens everywhere. a bump group is a group of (relatively) similar girls that is created by the vice president of recruitment. bump groups spend a lot of time together during recruitment. they are given a bump rotation. this is easier to describe in example. let’s say your bump group is girls A, B, C, D, and E. Girl A picks up PNM 1 at the door, girl B picks up PNM 2, C 3 and D 4. E is your bump group leader. a bump group leader is an upperclassman assigned to the younger girls to help them through recruitment. E doesn’t pick up anyone at the door. it’s E’s job to leisurely get to wherever in the house girl A was assigned to and bump her. bumping, practically, is when girl E walks up to girl A and asks what the conversation they’re having is about. Girl A introduces girl E to the PNM, girl E continues the conversation, and girl A goes to bump girl B, B to C, and C to D. A bump is not fast - one PNM typically talks to 2-3 sisters per round, which means a sister talks to 2-3 PNMs a round.
after each round is voting. every sorority votes differently. things that chapters vote on may include personality, whether they seem like they’d be an asset to the chapter, and appearance. some sororities vote more heavily on some areas than others. it’s all about what your chapter values! you only vote on the girls you personally talked to during that round.
during pref, all of the votes reset. then the chapter comes together and votes on every girl they know/have talked to during recruitment. every vote on every PNM is then averaged out to make a bid list. sororities do their best to hit quota, a number assigned by PHA to every house on the row, according to the number of PNMs going through. making (and keeping) quota means that you don’t have to do informal recruitment - recruitment later in the semester to keep your numbers up, with less formalities.
GENERAL TERMS
greekrank - this is like...a real life gossip blog. people are mean. you can post anonymously about the sororities on your campus. sometimes you get interesting tea but most of the time it’s just people being mean. i do not like it bc it’s girls bashing on other girls.
tier system - speaking of i don’t like it bc it’s girls bashing on other girls, there is a tier system to every greek life on every college campus. “top tier” sororities usually have the “prettiest girls” and who parties the most. my best advice is do not pay attention to the tier system when going through recruitment.
trust the process. this is a phrase you hear a lot going through recruitment. what it means is basically this: you’re gonna get dropped from some houses. that’s okay. the houses that kept you on their lists saw something in you, and those are the places you’re meant to be at.
rho gammas (rho gams)/gamma chis -- recruitment guides/guidance counselors - these are girls who disaffiliate from their chapters for the recruitment period to guide PNMs through the process of recruitment. they get a group of 10 or so girls coming through and help them if they’re struggling to make a decision. rho gamma is a term used in the north, gamma chi in the south, to my knowledge
the three bs -- boys, booze, bible. the things you aren’t supposed to talk about during recruitment. don’t talk about frats/sex/hooking up, don’t talk about going out and getting blackout on a wednesday afternoon, and don’t talk about religion ! sometimes, a fourth b is added -- ‘bama (like obama, not alabama). don’t talk about politics.
dry period -- in the few days leading up to recruitment, phc/a mandates a dry period, which means no going out to drink during recruitment
blackout period -- some schools enforce a social media blackout on their greek members during recruitment - no posting, therefore no influencing new members to pick your chapter through social media.
polish -- the night before recruitment begins, this is to run through everything before it actually counts, polishing up your house for the PNMs. on polish night, you might practice house flow - how you walk PNMs through the house - and conversations, as well as bond with your bump group a bit more !
AND THAT’S IT....FOR NOW ! if i can think of anything i forgot to add, i’ll be adding it down here :) thanks for reading guys ! happy recruiting !

so like... i'm kinda interested to hear about your no faceclaim rpc idea... and how it would work/ how you would like it to work idk idk idk... it just... really intrigues me tbh
i was really hoping to elaborate on this eventually, so thank you so much for the ask! for anyone looking for a reference, i proposed in an earlier post that i would like to see, in the future of the rpc, no faceclaims being used! here’s what my thought process is on this. and by the way, as a disclaimer, by no means am i trying to criticize anyone’s roleplaying habits. that’s not what i’m trying to do at all!! i use faceclaims myself!! we all do!!
i’m not exactly sure how it would work, or of any alternative to fcs. unless the alternative is just to stop using faceclaims, simply. here’s why i think so, though!
we use famous people with a lot of content to represent our characters. perhaps even if we started using faceclaims that are athletes or lesser known models, youtubers. if we used films and shows from non-white countries, etc. even that would make our characters more diverse in the rpc.
but we don’t. we use lily collins, matthew daddario, and other thin, white, cis, able-bodied and sometimes problematic fcs to represent our characters. because that’s what the media favors, so that’s what we favor as a society, too. we clump together korean people with japanese people and chinese people, and act like they’re interchangeable. same thing with indigenous & polynesian & latine fcs. i can count on one hand how many shows and movies i’ve watched with autistic actors, or people who use wheelchairs, or use an actual trans or nonbinary person to play trans and nonbinary characters. we erase their identities or pretend they don’t exist because there is an over-abundance of media on people that conform to european beauty standards and european beauty standards only!
we use the excuse, so often, that there aren’t enough resources for other, more diverse faceclaims than the same thin, white, cis, able-bodied, etc, fcs. so this is me offering a solution: let’s stop relying on faceclaims to represent our characters. characters in novels don’t have or need them, and they get their point across just fine!! let’s describe them physically, their style and the shade of their eyes & skin. their tattoos and scars and hairstyle. there’s no possible way we can convey everything we need to convey in a thread in terms of the actions, expressions and dialogue of our characters, with simply what has been shown on tv. we are writers, creators. we don’t have to rely on other people’s content to make something seem real.
i realize, also, that this isn’t entirely realistic and might seem really far-fetched!! there are so so so many rphs out there who have dedicated hours on top of hours making resources for faceclaims to use as a visual during threads and for applications, including myself! it’d be a complete waste to not give them their fair go in the tags.
and also, everyone uses them, right? that’s always a part of an application. then you have to look at the long lists of who is taken, so now even if you had a visual idea for a character, you can’t use that person because someone else’s character looks like them too. after that, you’ve got to jump to the long list of banned faceclaims. your character resembles eiza gonzalez in a way, but that can’t be okay because the actual eiza gonzalez is problematic and her face is banned from this place, like looks are the only valuable substance of your character.
on top of that, there are also a lot of writers and roleplayers who can’t join rps because they can’t find a faceclaim but they’re required, or they can’t see a small gif icon or heavy texture that is distorting a photo on a thread. that, or they are discouraged from doing so because no one looks like them. or no one knows this fc so no one interacts. let’s please, please stop with the excuses. there is almost always a solution, a little push towards change that we can start chipping away at even if it starts small. don’t jump on the bandwagon or feel obligated to use a face you don’t want to use just because people are more likely to interact with you. you should not have to tailor your decisions to other people’s desires!!
another thing, eliminating the use of faceclaims will also put more of our focus back on the writing aspect. i find myself getting frustrated with myself and my replies because with just text it looks boring. but i’m still proud to have gone from using gif icons of a mascot, to normal gifs of a mascot, to finally having no mascot at all. i don’t take forever to post answers anymore because. a picture might be worth a thousand words but we don’t draw our icons or choose every tiny detail of the faceclaim in the resource we choose to use. it’s really hard to find a gif of exactly what we need it to look like, and exactly how your character is doing it. sometimes we resort to using one that doesn’t even fit at all. and oftentimes i find myself actually tailoring, and editing my writing to what is being portrayed in the photo because what i want to say in writing doesn’t fit the picture. exactly what i want to say exists in no picture or gif.
this got really really long and possibly off topic in some places but here’s my hot take!! i’d love to hear others’ thoughts or opinions on this, or other ideas! obviously the idea isn’t fully developed and is just that, an idea. i don’t know every result this might have on the community, or if this has already been talked about. i know it’s not realistic and if it is, it’s far from getting there. this is just me telling you all about an idea & thought i had!

dear rpc,
This has been a long time coming.
I’ve got some things on my mind about the RPC that just need to be said. I’m prepared to receive hate from all you “tolerant” and “anti-drama, accepting” individuals because when someone doesn’t agree with your oh-so-open-minded viewpoint, they are wrong, yeah? I just have to get this out there.
You all need to chill the fuck out.
Roleplays are meant for fun. I have not seen a single group RP that has pre-written bios (whether fandomless or from a fandom) not receive some sort of hate. No one is fucking perfect and maybe the FCs they chose are there for a reason.
Here are some key points that should have been said long ago:
Representation is important. HOWEVER, if someone has more cis/white characters, you really have to think about the setting to their RP. I don’t know about you, but in 17th Century England, I’m pretty sure there weren’t a ton of non-binary mixed-race people running around.
It’s kind of hypocritical AF to tell an RP that they need to have a certain amount of trans and/or non-binary characters and then condemn them for using cis-gendered FCs to fill these roles. I’ve looked. I’ve asked around. There are not a ton of non-cis FCs with available resources. Many of these FCs are also from YouTube and a lot of RPs ban YouTube FCs. Those that aren’t from YouTube are either older than what the RPs demographic requires or lack in resources. If you’re able to make gifs/resources of these individuals, do it, and stop bitching, but many of us don’t have that talent. Let’s be real, anyway. A majority of the world is cis-gendered and heteronormative and most RP admins won’t force anyone to write a straight character. In fact, most RPs I’ve been in wind up having like 75% LGBTQ characters, which is awesome. Just keep that in mind when judging the RP main from the outside.
Again, think about the setting to the RP! I’ve had tons of hate given to me about not including certain types of characters, but one RP that I was in/ran took place in the 1970′s in the United Kingdom. Hell, I graduated high school just 10 years ago in a liberal area in a blue, progressive state and there were 0 kids that were out of the closet as gay/bi/lesbian out of the 180ish kids I graduated with, let alone out as trans or non-binary. Since graduation, I know several that have come out, but it took them time. What I’m saying is that you have to think of the times when writing a character or observing a group RP. Unless it is in some kind of AU world, we have to be real. Up until recently, and even today, being in the LGBTQ community isn’t universally accepted.
Speaking of being real- why the fuck are we so goddamn uptight about including characters that are hateful? WAKE THE FUCK UP. There are homophobic, transphobic, racist, bigoted, misogynistic people in this world and pretending they don’t exist because it might offend someone in the RPC is a little ridiculous. Pretty sure everyone I know (myself included) that is part of the LGBTQ community or that is a POC has experienced hatred because of who they are, what they look like, and how they identify. These things should be represented because it may help people to cope with situations in real life that are extremely real and can happen any time, anywhere!
About whitewashing. IT IS NOT COOL TO FUCKING WHITE WASH YOUR RP. Having 95%+ white FCs is just not acceptable. However, AGAIN, people need to keep the setting in mind when criticizing an RP. I had about 10 kids in a class of 180 that were not white. I, myself, am mixed. As a teacher, I have personally seen in different school districts how diversity can vary depending on location. One school that I taught in had a total of 3 POC children in the entire fucking school. The school I currently teach in is about 40-50% POC children. Another school that I visited had 95%+ POC children. If you are running an RP that takes place in rural Wyoming, that area is probably predominantly white with mostly closeted individuals. If you are running an RP that takes place in New York City, it is probably much more diverse. HOWEVER, I do think it is the job of an RP to offer diversity no matter where the roleplay is situated. But I swear to fucking god I’ve seen people get hate for their RPs that include about 50% POCs. Chill the fuck out. Most admins will let you change the FC, anyway, if you are so inclined.
Problematic plots. Grow up? Honestly. If someone wants to write a plot that you consider problematic, then don’t fucking read it. Maybe this person is using this sort of plot line to cope with a situation they dealt with in real life that was similar. Bad shit happens every single day and, again, pretending that it doesn’t in fear of offending someone is just stupid. Sure, some plots in group RPs should never be written and are definitely problematic- but I think, as a community, we are realizing that. These kinds of RPs are now far and few between. But indie RPs or those in group RPs that want to write plot lines that can be triggering should not be condemned because of it, especially if they tag these plots! Just blacklist the fucking tags that may trigger you and move on with your life.
Problematic FCs. FUCKING CHILL THE FUCK OUT. I’ve seen people call FCs out for being “problematic” when the evidence just isn’t there. For example, FCs that did something 5-10 years ago that was a joke and is taken way too fucking seriously. Comedians and rappers that use offensive material in a funny/creative way should not be condemned forever. Grow some fucking skin and learn the difference between real bigoted, racist individuals and those that are using “offensive” content in their work for a reason. Maybe it is to create awareness. Maybe it is to shine light on these issues. Maybe it is to mock those who really believe that way. Whatever the reason, does it fucking matter when the person has been condemned in the RPC and in real life for their “offensive” content plenty and has often times apologized. Sometimes it is just ignorance. We all make mistakes and say things that we shouldn’t. We all have done things that might offend someone. Sometimes it is just because we don’t realize it is offensive. Celebrities are people too. They make mistakes. Calm the hell down. There are more important things to worry about.
Speaking of more important things to worry about... We need to come together and grow up. We need to get thicker skin and let these things slide. We need to stop sending hate to people that have “offended” others. An eye for an eye will only make the whole world blind. If you think an RP is problematic, just ignore them. Block them. You don’t need to have a vendetta against them. You don’t need to send them hate. You have no idea who the admin is, what they represent, and how they feel in real life. Your hatred and condemnation might cause them great pain, anxiety, and depression. Many of us RP to escape situations in our lives that are shitty. Some of us are dealing with things beyond comprehension and RP is a way to escape and cope. Some of us are just here to write and explore our most creative selves. Whatever the reason is, we’re here for fun. I’m not saying that some of the above mentioned is okay. White washing is not okay. Being actually bigoted in real life is not okay. Not including diversity in your RP is not okay. But no RP is going to be 100% problem-free in the eyes of everyone on Earth. The good news? There are lots of other RPs out there or, perhaps, you can create your own how you want to. Give admins a break. They work hard and, on occasion, may slip and include things that are offensive. If it is truly, honestly a problem, politely tell them and move on.
Thanks for listening.
