One of the spring flush blooms of ‘Bolero’, a floribunda rose, bred by Jacques Mouchotte in France and introduced by Meilland International in 2004. This little neat rose is growing the second year in my garden and boy has it improved. It has become much bushier even though it is still barely over a foot tall it is full of buds. Flowers are a creamy white color with the softest tint of yellow or apricot in the center depending on temperature. Unfortunately, I lost my sense of smell to a great deal so I can’t vouch for it, but it is also supposed to have a great fragrance. I grow my roses organically and don’t spray and the foliage of this rose is very clean so far this year. Austin is blackspot land, so that is really a good sign that this rose might be better suited for my area than many other varieties. I believe last year I underfertilized my roses and ended up with not too many blooms. This year I will try to fertilize every month with an organic fertilizer. I believe in this climate it is important to feed the roses regularly but not overdoing it either because that will lead to foliage that is very susceptible to fungal diseases and insects damage. It is really about finding just the sweet spot between over- and under-fertilizing. How are your roses doing? Do you have any blooms, yet? Wishing you all a lovely weekend and happy gardening! 🇺🇦💙💛🕊🌻💔 #organicgardendreams #bolero #rosabolero #whiterose #whiteroses #inmygarden #inmygardentoday #roselover #organicrose #organicroses #organicrosegrowing #organicrosegrower #rose #roses #rosepgotography #rosesofinstagram #roseoftheday #roseaddict #fortheloveofroses #bolerorose #austingardener #austingarden #austingardening #centraltexasgardener #centraltexasgardening #cottagegarden #englishstylegarden #bloom #flower #organicgardening (at Austin, Texas) https://www.instagram.com/p/CcsVMzBuKas/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
