🍉 [WATERMELON] What will your OC take to the grave? Raider Rowan: at this rate, the fact that he's living a double life between the Responders and the Raiders. Or possibly that thing with that one Blood Eagle. Or the Mothman cul - you know what, he has a lot he's going to never tell anyone about.

Rufus Caesarion: The secret crush he had as a teenager on his fighting mentor/trainer. He never told anyone, not even his sister Toni. It's too embarrassing.

🥑 [AVACADO] What will they never back down about, even if it makes them seem bad? Raider Rowan: has good friends in some of the less savory Appalachian factions, and he won't turn his back on them just because of who or what they are.

Rufus Caesarion: going to have to Pass on this one? I can't think of anything yet.

Gunnar! (FNV) 1 - Race/Species - Human 2 - SPECIAL stats - ooooh crap I should have this written down somewhere by now, but I don't XD He's a Charisma/Intelligence build with low Perception (which is how I explained him/me constantly walking into mines and traps). 3 - In-game songs - I don't actually listen to the radio in-game! But I'd have to say Ghost Riders in the Sky. 4. How does he feel about people from before the war? - well he has a very close connection with them, it turns out. He's very aware that they were just people, some of them good, some bad, most of them just trying to get along in their lives. 5 - Where is he from? - Born in Bismarck, North Dakota, but ended up living in the mountain states/Four Corners area for a big chunk of his adult life.

Willow! (FO76) 6 - What faction(s) is he currently a part of? - well, he sides with the Settlers, and is on good terms with MODUS, which would upset some people if they knew. (Can you be part of the Enclave if you don't really understand what they're about, and aren't told the more unsavory parts, but you still get the cool uniform?) 7 - What faction(s) in the past? - technically, Vault 76, though he avoids most of the other Vault Dwellers, particularly the Overseer. He's good friends with Ricky Gee though. ( @theartofblossoming 's FO76er) 8 - Has he met any canon characters? - well, pretty much all of them, I think. Not so much the BoS gang. 9 - Friends with canon characters? - Beckett, Beckett's brother Frank, but Willow is not as sociable as some of my OCs and he's fine being acquaintances rather than friends. Biv’s fun to hang around with, 10 - Romantic with any canon characters? - Yep, with Beckett.

Greta! (FO76) 11 - What weapon type? - ballistic. Greta was a sniper before the war, and she's kept up her skills. She can use the heavy ballistic weapons too. 12 - Armor type - Greta uses whatever armor has the most stopping power. She doesn't like power armor much, but can use it if she has to. Also, pocketed like whoa. 13 - Comics/Magazines - the US Covert Ops stuff, mostly. To a lesser extent, Guns & Bullets (she thinks it's a little too sensational/over the top sometimes, not to mention patronizing) 14 - Chems - None. Not even alcohol. 15 - Would she keep a wasteland pet? - at one point she had a radstag doe following her around like a dog. (She didn't have Wasteland Whisperer, so it wasn't that). The deer had a big happy dopey grin on its face and wasn't afraid, which, she figured that would mean it was going to get itself killed. But she shot anything that came near it, and they hung out together for a few days. That's about it. She'd probably get a dog at some point just because a dog is useful. Plus, better company than people.

Rufus! (FNV) Rufus is still very young so some of this is predicted :) 16 - Any cosmetic surgery/tattoos? - He'll want one when he's grown, and deal with "but I shouldn't get one" / "Dad won't like it" and wrestle with that for longer than necessary. 17 - Afraid of radiation? - Cautious about it, but since it's invisible and undetectable if you don't have a Pipboy, it also falls under "not much I can do about it if I wander into it". 18 - How does he feel about killing? - Very pacifistic for his culture (which weirds people out). Ends up as an adult with the nickname "the Merciful" which isn't necessarily meant as a positive. He doesn't want to kill anything or anyone. Yes, there's self-defense, but it should still be a last resort. 19 - How about robots? - they're rather offputting; he grew up without robots around, and they unnerve him. 20 - In another universe? Well, technically that's happened a couple of times now, lol, FNV is the most recent one. But he's a very unlikely protagonist for most games, because he wants to avoid combat. In other universes he'd probably go become a teacher or a doctor.

Hey why not a bit of "what's all these WIPs and please share a bit" for WIP Wednesday.

In the interest of keeping this from being a mile long, these are actual WIPs and not completed/abandoned projects, which are a whole other bag, but you can ask about those if you want (look for my wordcount posts to see what's going on with those things).

Fallout 76 Art Therapy (multimedia project on AO3) Willow Ironwood keeps a diary about his life in the wasteland The Accidental Raider (AO3) Rowan is dealing with life in the wasteland as a recently released Vault Dweller Nowhere to Go (AO3) aka Rowan's Couch Surfing Adventure as he tries to find a place to stay for a while

The Outer Worlds What If? - what if Rowan and Will were actually siblings (they originally weren't, in any universe, believe it or not) on Earth and both got to go on the Hope (c!LC) Crossover - I'd love to get back to this, the first draft is done but it needs editing, reworking, etc. Will Hawthorne accidentally ends up in Rowan Dane's universe. The fic that indirectly introduces "what if they were siblings". (c!LC)

Fallout New Vegas Legion ASC (A Sporting Chance): Caesar Germanicus (evil!Gunnar Volk) conquers the Southwest and Arcade is caught up in the metaphorical fallout. The origin of all the "evil!Gunnar who becomes Caesar" stories. (c!LC) Fallout Stolen Heir: Offshoot of ASC where Arcade abducts one of Caesar's children and goes into hiding for 10 years until his past catches up with him (c!LC) Features Toni (Antonia Ferox) and Rufus Caesarion. Legion ACG: the rise of Caesar Germanicus and yes Arcade is here too. It can't be avoided. Also features Decanus Agrippa, some new Legion characters, NCR/Follower characters, the scope has grown. (c!PWB) Viva New Vegas: the very-long-in-the-process sequel to A Gun for Barns (it went through a big plot redesign) Postcards from New Vegas: Correspondence/epistolary RP between Gunnar Volk of New Vegas and Vin Hudson of the Boston Commonwealth. (c!TAOB)

Other FAFO (F* Around and Find Out): started as an excuse for genderbend smut and veered into mpreg and is now a queer love story dealing with identity, mutual pining and also smut. One of my few "fantasy" works (it's got magic in it).

Would love to know anything more about Stolen Heir!! :)

Stolen Heir: Caesar Germanicus (evil!Gunnar) has a couple of very young kids, redheaded twins, Antonia (Toni) Ferox and Rufus Caesarion. (One guess who these two are in other universes) Semi-enslaved in Caesar's immediate household, Arcade makes a run for it, and takes Rufus with him - he can take only one kid to save them from being brought up in this bloodthirsty land, and has to make a snap decision which one.

Toni is devastated by this and never, ever forgets that Gannon stole her brother. Undoubtedly Rufus is the same way, she reasons, and if she ever finds him again, they'll be rejoined and he'll be so happy to see her again, and everything will be wonderful. Oh, and she'll kill Gannon.

Rufus, meanwhile, has completely forgotten his early life and anything about his old family. He's now Roger, Arcade's his dad and they're practicing what medicine they can in a neighboring land (modern day Mexico). Roger intends to be a doctor like his father (Arcade) when he comes of age.

By the time they're teenagers, Toni is well on her way to becoming an elite warrior, though of course she's still just a teenager and has to finish growing, and needs experience and so on. On her first mission outside Imperial borders (with Vulpes as her chaperone/guardian), she learns of a young man who could only be Rufus, and so she, Vulpes and the rest of the team proceed to hunt him and the traitor/abductor Gannon down.

@the-lastcall has done some great Toni art, now I guess I need to get on the ball and figure out something for Roger/Rufus :)
