After stalking everyday your tumblr and liking probably all your McDanno posts, I just wanted to say I love your tumblr and reading all your meta/opinions/incorrect quotes or whatever from Hawaii 5-0 (also Charmed). This blog was like written for me and I'm glad I found it (for once, thank you tumblr algorithm)!! Thank you for all!! By the way, did you know that Teruel is the name of a city in Spain?
hey 🤗 thank you for this nice message! i'm glad you enjoy my blog and stalking is such a harsh word, I would never begrudge anyone showing enthusiasm! I would still maintain my blog for me but I'm always happy when someone also enjoys my niche combination of interests and inane ramblings :D I hope McDanno keeps inspiring and connecting us all!
(Charmed is a forever fave of mine, my show, a show I imprinted on when I was merely 11 years old and never let go, the 'witch' in my URL is a nod to Charmed and other witch media I was obsessed with all through my teens)
why yes, I did know, where else would I have gotten the name from? ;) it's a reference to my being a Spanish major/hispanista. I went to a languages specific school from age 7 (it used to dub itself colegio lingüístico) and in 10-11 grades we had Geografía de España as a subject and learned all the Comunidades Autónomas with their capitals and provincias. I always liked the word Teruel because it sounded like an elvish name (since Aragón is only one letter away from Aragorn it's hard not to make those LOTR word associations, also after the Hobbit trilogy people kept misreading my URL as Tauriel, lol) so when I joined my first online forum back in 2008 and had to pick a username that was the one I chose and it kinda stuck. Just realised I've been using Teruel in my online usernames for 15 years now, wow, I feel like I'm being summoned personally every time I see the toponym at this point. (I've never been to Spain tho, even tho I spent 16 years studying Spanish, ojalá un día)
this was probably way more Infodumping than you wanted to hear but I can't help my ND need to over explain myself.
