He couldn't help that he was bitter towards love, ever since Nancy Wheeler. He had found familial love, which was wonderful considering the lack of it he received from his parents. But he had slowly started to lose hope in romantic love. He'd gone on date after date, girl after girl, but it all seemed to shallow.

He leaned against the nearby counter, fishing a cigarette out of his back pocket and lighting it up, brown eyes glancing at her over the rim of his sunglasses. "Lots of girls think they are. But they're in love with the idea of me. Not the real me." He shrugged, bringing the cancer stick to his lips. Dangling between those rose petals. "A lot of us wear masks in this town, sweetheart. I don't think a damn person here can say that they've shown their true selves to anyone."

His brow arched upwards, arms crossing over his chest as he looks at her. By now she should know how it goes, Andrei had no protests over what she wanted. Hell, he encouraged it. If it made her happy then he would give her what she wanted, he enjoyed doing so. "Iubire, you know if you want all of that you are more than welcome to have it." He answers easily, arms beginning to cross over his chest as he offers a small smile in return. "So pick out what you like and I'll buy it." A casual shrug occurs in the process, showing once more how much of it wasn't a big deal for him to do. "I'd find it hard to believe if you didn't like anything you like here."

A STARTER FOR @serpentheired

          A  NEW  WEREWOLF  ALWAYS  BROUGHT  ABOUT  CONFLICTED  FEELINGS  IN  JED.  He  was  glad  that  school  was  taking  someone  who  would  be  so  lost  on  their  own.  Those  who  came  from  prominent werewolf  packs  and  families  didn't  need  the  school.  There  were  so  many  who  carried  the  curse  but  never  activated  it.  Families  could  entire  generations  without  triggering  it  only  for  an  accident  to  happen.  Then  a  new  wolf  with  no  pack  and  no  idea  of  what  to  do  would  make  it  to  them.  This  is  what  he  was  meant  to  do,  provide  a  pack  and  guidance.

          But  wolves  did  not  submit  easily.  A  new  arrival  starred  the  pot,  and  it  upset  the  balance.  Oftentimes,  there  would  be  a  challenge  from  the  newest  wolf  or  a  disgruntled  pack  member.  Jed  would  have  to  squash  it.  He  wondered  what  this  newest  member  would  bring.  JB  Jones  from  Riverdale,  New  York.

          Soon,  Josie  would  bring  her  by  and  introduce.  Until  then,  Jed  would  work  out  with  the  wolves  in  the  gym  lifting  weights  or  boxing  ...  He  waited  until  they  arrived.  As  he  approached  he  heard  the  tail  end  of  Josie's  introduction.  Jed  Tien,  the  school  pack's  alpha.  He  took  off  his  boxing  gloves,  wiped  his  sweaty  hands  on  shorts,  and  extended  a  hand  to  the  new  wolf.  ❝ We're  happy  to  have  you, ❞  he  smiled.  ❝ The  school  has  everything  we  could  need.  plenty  of  outlets  for  our  energy  and  aggression. ❞  He  gestured  to  two  members  of   the  pack  who  had  just  stepped  into  the  ring.  ❝ On  a  full  moon,  there's  a  safe  space  to  turn,  and  then  we  get  to  run  through  woods  on  campus.  It's  completely  fenced  in  and  supported  by  some  back  our  witches. ❞  he  threw  a  sweat  arm  around  Josie  and  laughed  when  she  pushed  him  off.  Jed  let  her  go  and  turned  his  attention  back  to  the  new  girl.  ❝ So,  what  do  you  think  of  everything  so  far ? ❞

There wasn't a moment the larger figure thought he saw the worst in her, never a moment he saw anything that would turn him away. If anything, he saw himself as the one who was in that position. It was hard to ignore the feeling as he knew nothing else but the violence he spread. So after he lets that sit, observing her, Andrei speaks up. "I don't see you that way." Words, never something he was the best at no matter how much he tried. "I never have. You're better than me, better than you give yourself credit for." His voice is quiet, deep, but loud enough for only her to hear. "And you can't convince me otherwise."

          AFTER  GIVING  HUNDREDS  OF  TOURS  OF  THE  SALVATORE  SCHOOL,  one  would  think  that  Josie  wouldn't  need  her  clipboard  anymore,  having  the  facts  and  statistics  all  memorized.  Yet,  it  comforted  them  to  have  it.  A  reference  for  when  she  forgot  something.  And  now  that  her  mother  was  back  and  working  on  adding  a  university  revamping  the  curriculum,  there  were  a  whole  new  set  of  talking  points.
