*Morning, admin island*

*Suzy is standing at the dock, looking across the water at the big island.  Is she really ready for this? Gonna have to be, she decides. Taking a deep breath, she steps into the boat and starts the engine, only to have it die before she can put the boat in gear.*

Gabe: Forgetting something, sugar?  Namely, me?  I told you last night you weren’t going to do this alone, yet, here you are, running off without checking in.

Suzy:*after initially jumping out of her skin in shock* Yeah, ok. so?  I can do this on my own; I don’t need a duenna.

Gabe: Not with them, maybe with me (smirks)

Suzy: *snorts* Well, good to know some things haven’t changed in my absence. Fine, you’re here.  Can we go, now?

Gabe: *snaps, and the boat starts up* Why you insist on slow transport like this is beyond me. 

Suzy: Because I like boats. I like the open sea, it feels real, and it’s a comfort after...*trails off*

Gabe: *Watching her intently*  After? *he lets the prompt hang in the air*  *finally* After purgatory, you mean.  You know I’m here if you want to talk about it, sugar.  You don’t have to keep all of that locked away.

Suzy:* looking out toward the horizon, her gaze is somewhere far away*  I appreciate the offer, Gabe; I’m just not ready to talk about it.  Not sure if I will be, ever.  *sighs*  Maybe, in time.  *pulls boat up to dock and alights* You coming, or what, then?

Suzy: *approaches main area, looking at the bar, which appears empty at this time of the morning*  No one’s here.  This place used to be busy at all hours.  Where is everyone?

Gabe: Well, things have been pretty low-key since......since everything went down.  Megs is hardly here, Krys appears regularly, but doesn’t stay. Bobby and Rufus are usually sleeping off a hangover this time of day. Ellen, well she’s around somewhere, and Benny, too.  Jo’s been hanging out with Charlie and Gavin more often these days.

Suzy: What about James Bond and his sidekick?

Gabe: *Looking around carefully*  Those are the ones I’m most concerned about.

Suzy: *turns to Gabe* What about John?  Where is he? With Bobby and Rufus, probably, right?

Gabe: *Looks away* Doubtful. After.... *clears his throat*   Megs lost it, and banished him to the far side of the island.

Suzy: *Sadly* I didn’t even stop to think about the consequences; dammit! Well, that’s going to change. Take me to wherever he is.  Might as well get that part over with.

Gabe: Are you sure about that?  He’s more likely to think you’re a ghost and try to gank you than most of the others.

Suzy: *Pfft* That’s why you’re here, right? Make sure that doesn’t happen.  And he’s coming back with us. If the others see that he’s ok with things, they’ll be more likely to accept me.

Gabe: OK, sugar, if you’re really determined to do this.....*snaps*
