This can totally be posted or not, I'm just really curious about your characters (especially Gatherine 👀). I'm sort of newer to your page and I was wondering if you have a game already complete with her in it or if it's planned for the future? Also is she a monster or a sort of alien? I'm sorry if these are totally obvious I'm really dumb when it comes to figuring shit out so I thought I would ask! I'd love to support any projects you have and I wanna know more about Gatherine!! (Wifey material even though she may literally destroy me) 😊
YOU R SO SWEET MWAH ♡♡♡ also literally not dumb you're so silly!!! okey so basically NIGHTHIVE//SKINDEEP is currently in development, it's a VN uwu I'm like, 50% done with it? Still working on assets and endings but it's done other than that uwu
For Gatherine, yes!! A demon, a nasty woman!! She borders between being respectful and friendly to inappropriately violent depending on the way you treat her and stuff :3 her job is kidnapping and harvesting the entire bodies of creatures on her planet who have wasted all of their time, but she's easily enamored if you're nice, she's a little socially inept and doesn't get a lot of interaction with others bc she's nocturnal. Her workplace is a mixture of a commune and a hospital-esque building where she lives with her gf and her adopted monsters. She's very capable of being caring and responsible, she's raised her monsters, but she's super sadistic if she realizes you're terrible or trying to manipulate her into sparing you uwu
She's very strong but not very skilled at fighting, she's trained in firearms, her only other weapon is brute strength. She also has a few pocket knives :D
Here's her toyhou.se page too!!
It's very vague and a little outdated but it talks abt some parts of her life I usually gloss over

So now that you finally finished reading Fruits Basket what's the verdict? Favorite characters and least favorite characters and why? What about ships? Which did you love which did you hate?
Ooooo do I have a LOT to say about Furuba, let me tell you anon. Mostly good. I really enjoyed the manga and how it depicted the characters. I loved how they all changed and progressed over time for the better, the fact the manga showed all of their personal struggles, how even the mostly positive and seemingly cheerful characters had major flaws they had to work on and had real reasoning behind their behavior and choices….I think one of my favorite things in the manga is that most of the side characters weren’t there simply to interact with the main characters and make the scenes play out more naturally, they were given back stories and even had short or somewhat sizable arcs that depicted them as people with wants and needs, it showed them struggling but also enjoying life and experiences too. They were given substance and it made them feel more real.
At this point Ill give a ~spoiler warning~ to anyone who would want to get into the series so nothing will be ruined for them since I know the pain for this oh too well.

My favorite characters are definitely the main three, so Kyo, Tohru and Yuki. I also really liked Hana, Shigure, Momiji, Kakeru, and towards the final chapters I started to like Machi.
As far as characters I hate…I don’t think I have any? I suppose there were moments I was annoyed with characters, or didn’t care for them (mainly because the few that weren’t given backstory/just there for comic relief so I didn’t have much of a reason to care about them), but I would say I really hated Akito up to a certain point. This was really only up until we were shown why she acted the way she did, why she was so possessive of the members of the zodiac, and why she was so violent and mentally messed up. In the anime you don’t even find out what happens, you just see Akito as an evil and twisted…..well…man, haha. You don’t learn anything about her or have a chance to understand why the Sohma house is so messed up and why they have this nonsensical hierarchy with the “outside” members and the zodiac members. I’ve never been one who likes random action or vague, pointless themes or messages that anyone can loosely relate to in media. I really like being able to analyze people to their cores, or experience compelling storytelling that doesn’t rely on easy plot devices that catch people’s attention. Fruits Basket isn’t perfect, and it definitely has its cliches and silly, unnecessary things, but the good outweighs that in my opinion.
I GOT OFF TRACK THO, SORRY
But I started liking Akito after her first major arc and when her mother was introduced. Her anger was justified to me, her constant abuse to the other Sohmas was not in any way shape or form, but seeing how insecure in her own existence and importance to the family showed just how flawed and broken of a person she was. She wasn’t just an evil character thrown into the story to cause problems for the main characters. She wasn’t void of all human emotions for “””plot”””. She was shown to be an incredibly broken individual who wanted love and to feel needed so much that it drove her somewhat crazy. She was never given a chance to determine what she wanted to be, her birthright was to be “God” and was promised the love of the other zodiac members, forced to be something she was not based on her mother’s orders, father (who was really the only person who loved her for WHO she was not what) passing. I believe she could’ve been a very good person if given the chance…but suffering a lot from a young age really effects a person.
Now I liked the Sohmas for the reasons I mentioned above. For the main three, I’d say I loved Tohru’s unwavering enthusiasm. Even though in the final arc it was revealed she mainly started acting the way she did to seem more like her father, you could argue this was who she truly was at that point in time. I’d say this was who she always was, but since she started “acting” like her father when she was so young, she probably couldn’t remember or didn’t realize. Perhaps she couldn’t tell she was a good person, she often joked about it and refused praise from people being how humble she was. I think Tohru’s self worth was very low, though even so she wanted to make those around her happy any way she could. After seeing what her father’s death did to her mom, Tohru couldn’t stand seeing people she cared about be in any pain. It showed every time she learned something awful about another. She felt their pain in a way, the readers could see that. She was honest to goodness a pure hearted person who would do anything for anyone, even if that meant she would get harmed in the process of helping them (much like with Akito nearing the end of the manga and most definitely with Kyo when his true form was shown).
I actually didn’t like Yuki at first, really. He kind of reminded of a Kuudere? He was very detached, cold, somewhat bland to me at first. Like a cardboard cutout character of the “prince” stereotype. He looked like the typical calm and collected cool guy in anime that I don’t really care for. Though as time went on and he started to come out of his shell, you were able to see what he was really like. He didn’t hide in fear of transforming anymore, he started to become more comfortable in himself and the thought of forming relationships with others. His fear and depression seemed to slowly fade the more he tried to “open the lid”. We saw him finally form a relationship with his brother (and towards the end of the manga it honestly warmed my heart to see), he became more tolerant of Kyo and seemed to care for his well-being, along with his and Tohru’s forming relationship. After he realized what he saw in Tohru and how he felt about her, he seemed to start learning more about himself with her help. From having that care and support on Tohru’s end, Yuki was able to find himself and really progress as a person. Seeing him in a healthier mindset made me very happy. I could see a little of Ayame in him towards the end too!
Now for Kyo, he’s easily my favorite character. I don’t know why I usually like Tsunderes (cause in real life they’d annoy the hell out of me) but with Kyo’s backstory and upbringing, his bad attitude made sense. I get being a sassy or rude teenager, but unnecessarily violent just because your parents are mean? Ehhhhh. But Kyo was literally damned at birth. He was the curse of the zodiac and his existence was literally to give the other members more comfort in their identities. Purely existing just so others will hate themselves less by comparing their situation to yours is horrible. By Akito’s own words and opinion, Kyo was worthless. A disgusting creature who’d rot in his cell when his time came. The cat was never given a fair chance like the others were. His isolation from people and constant abuse from his father and other Sohma’s tore him down, he saw no value in himself and only lived out of pure spite for Akito and Yuki. The “I’ll kill him and then myself” line always got to me. It’s shown his only purpose of living for a time was to get revenge for the cat. Not for himself, or for others, just for revenge. It was so sad to see. He grew on me instantly though, he was overly blunt, a little socially inept, bashful, and a bit violent, but he had a conscious. HE showed remorse when he’d really hurt Tohru’s feelings, and tried his best to make up for them in a way he could. Towards the end of the manga he most definitely grew up, matured, calmed down a lot, and became more tolerant of the things he once hated. He was able to heal, and I straight up C R I E D when his curse was lifted.
As for my shiiiiiips I obviously love Kyo/Tohru and Yuki/Machi are my main ones. though I definitely favor Kyo and Tohru over anyone else lol.
I hope this isn’t too much to read? Lol/ Also sorry this took me forever anon, I’ve been busy. ; v ;

Stop Calling Swatting 'Pranks,' Media
Tumblr media
"Swatting," for the blissfully unaware, is the practice of calling in a false police report, causing them to send a heavily armed band of SWAT officers to bust into the house of your choosing, the idea being to scare the inhabitants. Add in a political motivation to do so, and we've just given you the dictionary definition of terrorism. Or as many newspapers prefer to call it, some good old-fashioned pranking.

BBC The New York Times The latest "It's just a prank, bro" incident happened to David Hogg. On Tuesday, someone too lazy, physically unfit, and/or socially inept to go outside and throw a brick through a window or post a letter with a bullet in it instead called a armed response team on Hogg's home, claiming someone was inside with an AR-15 (incidentally, the same style of rifle that killed 17 of his classmates). Hogg is a vocal anti-gun advocate and one of the most hated and loved teenagers in the U.S., but not in the Justin Bieber way (who also got swatted in 2012, by the way). He is openly the target of many anti-gun-control groups. Yet somehow, someone with a grudge sending armed stormtroopers to his doorstep is still reported on as a "prank" or "hoax," some silly hijinks, as if prank-ordering 200 pizzas is the same as ordering 200 bullets with ten corresponding trigger fingers. Continue Reading Below Advertisement Swatting was first popularized as a weapon for messing with online gamers, then to harass video game critics during Gamergate, and now to do the same to gun control advocates. Identifying the fringe groups behind all these acts isn't a complicated case to crack. All the lines on the board connect to a single center like an asterisk -- or more appropriately, an asshole. But while swatting may have started out as a malicious, sociopathic prank by internet trolls, it has become something much more sinister. The Daily WireCan't wait to see this on one of those "Try Not To Laugh" YouTube reels. Today, there seem to be more news stories about unnecessarily brutal police interventions than those on cute animals at the zoo. People are getting shot by cops just for making the wrong hand movement or walking down the street. Police encounters are all slowly devolving into Dirty Harry scenes in which your survival is as much dependent on your lawfulness as it is on you feeling lucky, punk. Continue Reading Below Advertisement Swatting has already killed someone just like that. Andrew Finch, a random 28-year-old, is now dead over a $1.50 dollar bet made during a Call Of Duty game. While being mistakenly revenge-swatted, he confusedly reached in his pocket, and just in case he was pulling out a pocket-sized laser gun able to pierce their inch-thick body armor, a highly trained fighter with a readied weapon opened fire without flinching. Finch was killed, but the police officer was not arrested or even fired -- he was just performing as advertised. But if SWAT doesn't kill people, who does? Gosh, if only the NRA had a handy slogan to allocate responsibility for that. So to keep pretending as if swatters don't know the intense dangers of sending armed police to unwitting victims is downright irresponsible. And it's only getting worse. Swatting seems to have become an element of a larger trend in the U.S. whereby as the reputation of the police gets worse, more and more stories seem to pop up of people frivolously calling the cops on whomever they dislike. In May, a woman was having an argument with a man in a car, when she just started shouting "Gun!" at the top of her lungs, which is an intimidation tactic that only works if everyone has learned that that can get you killed if there's a squad car nearby. Clearly, for these people, calling the cops has just become another way to point a gun at someone you hate and not feel responsible for when it blows up in that someone's face. So let's stop calling this a "prank," as if swatting is in the same category as setting a flaming bag of dog shit on someone's porch. It's more like setting a flaming bag of dog shit on someone's porch and then switching out the welcome mat with a landmine. It's a tactic used by violent cowards to get the police to do their dirty work. It's attempted murder by cop. In Defense of Laci Green
I’m a giant black man who lives in America. I’m the most persecuted individual in this country, bar none. People cross the street when they see me. Cops rest their hands on their sidearm at traffic stops. My white neighbor called in a noise complaint and three K-9 units pulled up on my family as we stood outside of my apartment talking. At 6 in the afternoon. On a Friday. I live across the street from a bar. He lives in the same building as several drunk 20-somethings. But I’M a problem? Yeah, okay. I was once stopped by CHP at 7am as I walked to work, because I fit a description. Literally that’s what they said to me; “There’s been a report of robberies in this neighborhood and you fit a the description.” The CHP, man. What description? Black and in a hoodie? It’s 7 am in December and I have to walk 5 miles to work. I’m cold and this is the only jacket i own. But that doesn’t matter. They saw a black man, in a hoodie, walking in an affluent area, too early in the morning for their tastes. That’s my life. That’s my reality. I understand what it means to be a target. To be persecuted. To be marginalized. I know how frustrating it is to be considered less than because of your physical identity so I identify with the overall feminist message. Always have. I just don’t like how it’s being voiced as of late.
I am, by no means, a feminist. I find that whole modern ideology, toxic, divisive, and problematic. I believe a lot of the message these third-wave feminists preach is bullsh*t rhetoric more akin to the younger Millenials whining about inclusion and entitlement rather than addressing real social issues. It’s all very ridiculous to me. If you think there aren’t enough women being represented in movies and TV, then get out there and make more shows. Demanding that other people do what you, yourself, can get out and do, is nonsense. So what if there’s a glass ceiling? Go build your own house then your ceiling can be as high as you want it, no transparent boundaries need apply. If you feel like the boob physics in my Beach Volleyball game are offensive, then don’t buy it. Protest with your dollars, not your signs or your tweets. Show these companies there isn’t a future in chauvinism and maybe chauvinism will go away. Probably not but still, give it a shot.
Sh*t like having movies stars complain about the wage gap detracts from the very real issues women face today. So what J-Law only makes 12 million a picture and Bradley Cooper made 15 mil. That ain’t helping Sue-Anne in that brake factory out in Detroit get her equal pay. How ridiculous is to listen to a millionaire who plays pretend for a living, complain about not getting an extra few million because she thinks she plays pretend harder than her male counterpart pretends? All of that silly and superficial nonsense hurts the message and the fact that so many of these women aggressively vocalize their inept dogma, drowns out those who actually want to make a change. Laci Green was one of those shrieking heads until she decided not to be. Laci Green stepped back, took a look at how she was expressing her voice, and decided to change her narrative. Instead of trying to yell over people, she decided to listen. And in that pivotal decision, she learned more about herself, her community, and her message than she ever did just trying to shout-down those that didn’t agree with her beliefs.
I have seen more venom and vitriol for Laci Green coming out of these “feminists”, than I have seen for the patriarchy they all seem to hate so much. A few months ago, Laci was the poster child for Feminist victimization. She was all over the internet being portrayed as a martyr as she saw her channel and social media bombarded with people calling her out of her hypocrisies. Her “community” immediately came to her aid then, torches and pitchforks in hand. I think someone used Laci’s image in a thumbnail about toxic feminism and she didn’t care for that, so she made an attack video or some sh*t. As you can imagine, sh*t went sideways and everyone got involved. She posted a response calling out Philip DeFranco and others for their misogyny and then took a hiatus from Youtube. It was all very ugly and kind of stupid. In her time away, however, she was “red pilled” and decided to actively hear the arguments her detractors and opposition had to say. And to her surprise, they made sense. That tends to happen when you listen to people instead of villainize and decry their right to have a voice. There are a lot of people out there hating on feminism, not because they legitimately think feminism is a problem, but because of the what the message has become.
When the Suffragettes were doing their thing, they wanted to be seen as people in the eyes of the law. They wanted a voice in the government. They wanted representation in country wide legislature. They wanted to be counted just like their male counterparts. Second-Wave feminist fought for and secured a better lifestyle for women among the male dominated society of the mid 20th century. I’m not saying, by any stretch, that women were considered equal in the 70s, but they definitely were taken into consideration more than their  earlier counterparts, even 20 years before. Hell, even early third-wave feminists were moving the cause forward. They fought for equal wages and better representation of women in the arts. And that sh*t worked for the most part. Sure, that wage gap is still a very real thing but it’s gotten better. I am by no means telling women to stop marching. I am by no means saying everything is hunky-dory because it’s not. What I am saying is that these young feminist, these kids raised up In the age of prosperity during the Clinton years and then disillusioned by the W. years, these kids need to adjust their approach. They need to be more Laci Green and less Anita Sarkesian.
Laci made a very real stand and she’s been violently attacked for it. She said, “Hey, maybe these people over here, not the cowardly dick-heads who hide behind their anonymity and threatening rape or death, but the guys who have been trying to engage us in fair, civil, debate, actually have something to say. Maybe there’s a legitimate counter point to our message that we may need to take to heart.” See, that doesn’t fit their narrative though. It doesn’t fit that whole “ I am a victim so look at me but ignore my own transgressions” situation that so many of these modern day feminists want you to believe. It’s insane how fast these people, once her allies, began spewing as much barbarous rancor against her as the people they so vehemently oppose. The hypocrisy is insane and exposes their “feminism” for what it is; immature superficiality. Arm chair activism. These feminists don’t want change, they just want to be buzzkills. They have no intention of compromising for the betterment of everyone involved. They refuse to listen but, at the same time, refuse to shut up. They just want people to do what they say, not as they do. And THAT is MY problem with their whole f*cking movement.
I have a wife. I was raised by my mother. I have several sisters. I’ve been surrounded by women my entire life. I know, for a fact, they are stronger, in a lot of ways, than most men. They support, tolerate, and encourage us to be better. That saying, “Behind every man, is a strong woman” is the truest sh*t in the world. So why do we pretend like it’s not? Why do we treat these women like second class citizens? It doesn’t make a lick of sense! How can you say you love someone, then expect them to be less than you? How can you consider them an equal partner in your life, if you treat them like they’re not worth? Women should be treated equally to men, period. They do the same amount of work as we do, if not more. They certainly carry far more social expectation. It’s only right they are given equal footing in said society. To believe otherwise is disrespectful and childish. Again, I’m not a feminist. I consider myself an Equalist. I believe everyone should be treated the same way as everyone else, good or bad. Man, Woman, Black, White, Muslim, Christian, whatever; Everyone should be treated like everyone else. I believe if cats can walk a mile in someone another person’s shoes, that would go a long way toward mutual understanding and compassion for each other. That’s what Laci Green did. She took the time to consider an uncomfortable opinion and it made her a better person. It strengthened her convictions and gave her new tools to voice her very real, very poignant, message. It’s a goddamn shame so many of her peers and compatriots refuse to do the same. It’s a goddam shame these fools don’t see that the way they’re going about spreading their message, is actually poisoning the well.
Laci did and she’s being crucified for it.
