Annaleigh sat in a chair across from him, her arms were cuffed to the chair she sat in, so she couldn’t move. Hazel green eyes glared at him from her position. She wasn’t scared. This wasn’t the first time she’d been in a situation like this and she doubted it would be her last. During her time in the Vipers, she’d been held captive by rival gangs before. She managed to make it out alive both times.

“No. Do you want to go to prison? Because that’s exactly what will happen to you if I turn up dead.” she spat. Annaleigh was apart of the witness protection program now. Her gang life far behind her. She has since testified against Roscoe and his men, but they wanted to keep her in the program to keep her safe, in case something happened.

She was supposed to keep in contact with the US Marshall assigned to her case almost daily. If she didn’t, they would know something was wrong and go looking for her. “What do you want with me anyway?” she questioned. “Do you work for Roscoe?” The man may be in prison, but she knew he was powerful enough to get word to the outside.

Annaleigh wiggled a bit in the chair, trying to see if she could break free with her strength, but to no avail. She sighed deeply. Was this going to be the end? Would she never see her son again? Her heart lurched at the thought.
