oh yeah! i got my self a silktone barbie as a belated birthday gift for my self featuring some clothes i found at value village, they smelled quite terrible and required a lot of washing before they were any good, i’d hate to imagine what would have happened if some parent got this for their kids without checking how they smelled first eek (the stuff i don’t want is getting donated back, washed)

snooty faced barbie is defiantly my favorite! the funny thing is as a kid i almost never played with them

my mom being retrospectively progressive made sure me and my sister had animals, cars and dolls to play with, animals were our favorite and the cars joined in as sentient members of society but the dolls not so much, they were much bigger then the rest of our toys so we hardly touched them

before grade 5 when i had a friend who had more barbies to play with i have a grand total of 2 memories of playing with one; dying one’s hair with blue marker ink diluted with spit at age 5-6 and then throwing her under the bed and mummifying one in white fabric and black thread in an attempt to “sew” at age 8

The new pretty in pink signature barbie is supposed to be a silktone body, i personally dont see the appeal in this cupcake liner shes wearing or her face

Shes the very last silktone thats going to be made, i love how silktones look compared to normal barbies but i dont have any yet, i do know their popular though
