TADC cast x reader who drawing/crocheting!

Flip flopping between art and crochet for each character!

Writing these while I have some brief downtime! Sobs my feet hurt sm

CAINE:

Loves hovering over your shoulder in the air while you're working on art! Not in the annoying way that people do when they hover and watch your every move, literally watching you draw and having the nerve to ask if they can take your sketch and finish it (totally not ranting about personal experience)

Well

It can be a little irritating, but caine just loves how fluid you look when you get in your zone

Keeps every drawing youve given him within arms length. Probably keeps it in his hat. Comically has loads of storage in his hat

POMNI:

Crochet! You try to get pomni into it but she fails so so bad and has a tangled mess of material. Oooo please domt take her hands in yours and guide them on what to do that totally wont make the poor jesters soul part with her body I prooooomise

Gets so excited when she manages to make a simple thing, like a bee plush? Idk I love crochet bees, sm

RAGATHA:

I already headcannon ragatha to knit, sew, and crochet! So perhaps you two sit down and do dates where you guys make something for one another? Or perhaps, for a twist to keep everyones pieces unique, imagine you're new to crocheting and ragatha is helping you make stuff! I think thats a cute idea, me thinks

JAX:

Very bad at both but similar to caine likes watching you do either of the two. Now is he interested to learn either? No I dont think so, but he wouldnt make fun of you for your hobbies and he would join you if you offered or asked him to join you

KINGER:

Make him crochet bugs please please please hes gonna keep them all on his bed/inside his pillow fort!! He always holds one in his hands while hes walking around

You guys sometimes draw together, but zooble is more so a.. musical artist, imo. Idk they give me musician vibes that I cant quite explain... loves keeping any art of you make of them in their room, probably tapes them all over the walls in a unneat fashion

You and her draw a lot together! In fact that's what brought you two together! It's nice to have someone around who cares about you and shares your passion, I think... very nice.. honestly it's very refreshing for gangle to finally have someone! Okay but like- all I did was skim read and I immediately got Dust/Horror vibes! However the more I read the more I realize you are totally a perfect match for…

DUST

I feel as if Dust is very smart and usually keeps to himself but is also surprisingly easy to talk to, he isn’t the type to judge. So you two already get along so well!

While Dust is quiet and very secretive, he isn’t scared by others easily. Dust is totally the type to walk up to the McDonald’s counter and say “They asked for no pickles” and stare at them while they remake your food.

Along with that Dust would never and I mean never allow anyone to talk negatively about his partner, especially to their face. He isn’t the type to blow up at someone he’s actually scarily calm. He will approach them exchanging some less-than-kind words.

Dust is pretty quiet as well, maybe saying a few words or sentences a day. He loves the quiet little moments, especially if they’re with you. If you want to talk or have something to rant about he’ll gladly listen.

I can imagine you two cuddling up on his bed just relaxing and enjoying each other's vibe. Maybe he’s playing video games and you’re knitting- which he will totally ask you about. Like why you enjoy it, what kind of things can you make, and what else you like to do.

He isn’t into cooking but he knows someone who does! Horror will totally be your best friend and fellow chef. Dust likes watching from the table as you two cook, and you definitely won’t hear him complain about being the taste tester.

Dust isn’t apathetic in fact, when you start talking to him about something you enjoy he sets down everything. You have his full attention because even if he doesn’t like what you do it’s still something you like, so it’s important to him. He also likes seeing how happy you get when you explain to him how to knit or what you’re doing. He will also keep a mental note of your favorite brands or if he sees some yarn at the store that he knows you’ll like, he will steal buy it for you!

Not liking antagonistic people.. yikes that might cause some problems.

Dust feels awful about what he has done so he isn’t overly cruel, since he’s joined the Nightmare crew the murderous rampage has definitely calmed down a little! Jazz hands!

If you talk to him about it, cause it makes you uncomfortable or it just really upsets you he will stop killing unless he has to ie. protecting himself, you, or his teammates.

Dust would be your perfect match because you both like similar things and I can imagine you both having a very relaxing relationship, very quiet and peaceful but still extremely love-filled and happy!

Random hobbies/interests the Redacted characters & listeners have

! (THIS IS NOT CANON) !

These really have no rhyme or reasoning as to why they have these interests or hobbies, I just think they vibe with these things.

I am always open for conversations and/or requests

David- Crocheting

I can see David learning this as a way to get his mind off of things after Gabe die. It’s something you can do with just a hook and some yarn- as well as it’s pretty tricky to learn and takes a while to get good at. For David, it was something to grow and ignore his emotions- this would be something he’d mainly do alone, either at his home or possibly at a park to rest. Instead of cooking, which is an at home only activity, crocheting can be done really anywhere as long as you bring the correct things.

Angel- Unsolved crimes

Now, you might be thinking this should be Sweetheart’s things, but I digress. Instead, Angel would be the one to know a little too much about unsolved crimes than pretty much anyone else- their knowledge would be cold cases, not recent cases or how to hide a body or anything. They’d be the one to ask Sweetheart about a case like the Black Dahlia and how they couldn’t make an arrest on the only person who had the surgical knowledge to actually kill the poor woman (Elizabeth Short) at 3am.

Asher- Alternative Universe theory

I feel like while Ash might seem like he’s not too smart, definitely not on the top 20%, but I feel like his knowledge shines in theories and science. The Alternative Universe theory, which has a multitude of theories with that such as the Matrix theory where after an AI is created it creates life, and when that life that doesn’t know about the life outside of their AI creates another AI, that AI creates life, etc. etc.

Babe- Hair styling

A hobby that probably started as a small dream from their childhood, hair styling. I really have no reasons as to why Babe would have this as a hobby, but I can definitely see Babe having wigs of hair and mannequin heads and it really doesn’t settle well in Ash’s stomach. I can also see Babe having childhood photos with them having like, a favorite mannequin head or something along those lines.

Milo- Crossword Puzzles (+others similar)

Milo is that bitch who’d ask about Wordle. He’d be the one to have the newspaper just to play with the puzzles on the back- either the grids, the wordsearches, the de-scrambling ones, and more. I can also see Milo learning about cryptid codes in high school, no reason for that one really, I just think it fits him as a character. He definitely has a stack of books already finished in a corner of the room that he just likes to keep. It’s the only thing he hoards.

Sweetheart- Knitting

Knitting and Crocheting are not the same and I swear this one is better for Sweetheart while crocheting is better for David. I can imagine Sweetheart in their office, waiting for a finalized file or for a new case, knitting random designs on a really long scarf that they decided to continue to go until they retire. (And let’s not forget… knitting needles can be weapons) They would be the one to make Aggro small, knitted hats, or make a small blanket for him. They probably made Milo a knitted gift for one of their dates and he has treasured it ever since.

Darlin- Car repair

Darlin’ just knowing anything about cars- or at least their car- and knowing how to take care of it kind of makes me flustered. I can see Darlin’ being similar to Dean from Supernatural where they have a car they bought, and it is their literal child with a new, blue tooth radio, really nice wheels, somehow always cleaned and vacuumed, no squeals or squeals in breaks or windows. Sam probably makes fun of them for taking care of their car more than themself.

Sam- Sketching

Cowboy Sam having a small sketchbook that he carries really wherever he goes. I can see him mainly doing like, baseline sketches where it’s the form of a person, a pretty bird, a landscaping design he enjoyed, it’s very much not finished- almost like the thoughts are never finished. Especially with people. Sam mainly keeps the features that most stand out, having a very rough sketch for everything and then a detailed tattoo, or a birthmark, someone with an amputated leg and a proud face, sketching the scars with much details. The only sketches that ever turn out finalized are the ones with Darlin’ in it.

Vincent- Skateboarding

I don’t know why, but Vincent gives such 90s vibes that he’d definitely grow up with skateboarding. And because of the eternity to live thing, he’d know how to do so many tricks on his skateboard. He’d know where the skate parks are, even the hidden ones that are next to construction sites long abandoned. Vincent probably tries to teach Lovely how to skateboard as well, finding an unused tennis court to have a flat surface so Lovely doesn’t get too hurt.

Lovely- Cleaning

By ‘cleaning’ I don’t mean just picking up and vacuuming. I mean they like to dust, wipe counters, mirrors, sweep then mop, vacuuming the couches, washing the bedsheets and pillows, etc. until literally everything’s spotless. And then after that, they probably move a lot of stuff around- they enjoy the control of being able to clean and move things around. They enjoy the ability to clean a shelf, then be able to see everything and format the shelf in a different way.

Freelancer- Darts

Imagine with me, Freelancer in their room, a dart board on one side of the room, Freelancer sitting on the opposite side on their bed. Gavin walks in to see Freelancer throwing a dart at the board, along with ten other darts right on the target, hitting smack dab in the middle. I can see Freelancer having really good aim- and this would be a way to keep their aim from slipping.

Gavin- Analogue Horror

I have no reason for this- but Gavin trying to figure out some YouTube series like Gemini Home Entertainment or Local 58 with such intense focus is very entertaining to me. Like Gavin has literal notebooks that are filled with facts about the deep sea, how the silver dome is connected, whether the creatures are alien or from Earth, etc. I can also see him trying to get Freelancer into these types of things so they can have like, dates where they order food and talk about theories on analogue horror shows.

Damien- Thrifting

Listen we all know Damien is big fight all the time- but I feel like Damien goes thrifting for fun. He goes to stores with his group of friends to make fun of what some people seriously bought only for them to bring it to a thrift shop. He’s also probably bought things that he really doesn’t need- for example, he has a random goat statue, a stuffed animal that has weird eyes he thought looked stupid, a Shrek blanket, etc.

Lasko- Boxing

Now, Lasko is known to be the shy one, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t work out. I think he has one of those boxing bags at his home to just let his stress out in the style of hitting the shit out of a bag. I personally think that’s a really good way to get rid of anger and stress without leaving your home. Anyways, I can see him having really strong arms and no one really believes him until he has to show or use them.

Huxley- Video Game lore

I really mean he’s a Game Theory nerd. Like his shit is Five Nights at Freddies. He loves the lore behind Doki Doki Literature Club, and definitely theorizes himself about games such as Cooking Companions or even Minecraft. This one really has no other reason other than it just seems to fit him really well, like I can see him having word documents about games he’s played or looked at.

Caelum- Plush making

Once again, no rhyme or reasoning to this one, but I can see Caelum watching videos of people explaining and making plushies- y’know those doll-remaking videos? That’s his shit. Put those on and he’ll be satisfied for a good while. I think Caelum can’t really make plushies, but he learns how to if he gets the chance to (which Gavin probably gives him, let’s be honest).

Geordi- How ___ is/are made

He eats those YouTube videos that explain how rubber or latex gloves are made. Along with how escalators work and how chewing gum is processed. I can imagine Geordi being all cramped up in his house with really nothing to do and putting on a YouTube playlist that is just how things are made- his favorites are probably the things that you don’t really think about but it’s in your almost day-to-day life. He then talks about it to anyone who will listen because who wouldn’t want to know how a match is made.

Cutie- Fungi

Literally no other reasoning behind this one other than I think Cutie finds fungi cute or really cool. Like they’ll research how bioluminescent mushrooms work, why any fungi is even made. They definitely bring mushroom sticky-notes wherever they go work-wise, they also pull out the fact that fungi help plants communicate to one another like an operator from the old telephone days.
