Okay but like- all I did was skim read and I immediately got Dust/Horror vibes! However the more I read the more I realize you are totally a perfect match for…

DUST

I feel as if Dust is very smart and usually keeps to himself but is also surprisingly easy to talk to, he isn’t the type to judge. So you two already get along so well!

While Dust is quiet and very secretive, he isn’t scared by others easily. Dust is totally the type to walk up to the McDonald’s counter and say “They asked for no pickles” and stare at them while they remake your food.

Along with that Dust would never and I mean never allow anyone to talk negatively about his partner, especially to their face. He isn’t the type to blow up at someone he’s actually scarily calm. He will approach them exchanging some less-than-kind words.

Dust is pretty quiet as well, maybe saying a few words or sentences a day. He loves the quiet little moments, especially if they’re with you. If you want to talk or have something to rant about he’ll gladly listen.

I can imagine you two cuddling up on his bed just relaxing and enjoying each other's vibe. Maybe he’s playing video games and you’re knitting- which he will totally ask you about. Like why you enjoy it, what kind of things can you make, and what else you like to do.

He isn’t into cooking but he knows someone who does! Horror will totally be your best friend and fellow chef. Dust likes watching from the table as you two cook, and you definitely won’t hear him complain about being the taste tester.

Dust isn’t apathetic in fact, when you start talking to him about something you enjoy he sets down everything. You have his full attention because even if he doesn’t like what you do it’s still something you like, so it’s important to him. He also likes seeing how happy you get when you explain to him how to knit or what you’re doing. He will also keep a mental note of your favorite brands or if he sees some yarn at the store that he knows you’ll like, he will steal buy it for you!

Not liking antagonistic people.. yikes that might cause some problems.

Dust feels awful about what he has done so he isn’t overly cruel, since he’s joined the Nightmare crew the murderous rampage has definitely calmed down a little! Jazz hands!

If you talk to him about it, cause it makes you uncomfortable or it just really upsets you he will stop killing unless he has to ie. protecting himself, you, or his teammates.

Dust would be your perfect match because you both like similar things and I can imagine you both having a very relaxing relationship, very quiet and peaceful but still extremely love-filled and happy!

I feel like Martlet would want to go with Frisk out of the ruins. After the time she seperated from Clover she would not want that to happen with another human child.

i dont think there would be any circumstance where martlet could ever bring herself to let frisk go alone tbh. its either frisk stays in the ruins with her and toriel as long as they like or they go out into the underground together. by the end of uty's pacifist, martlet definitely has ZERO trust in the guards and asgore to just let a child walk out into a world ready to kill them on sight.

i mean, im pretty sure im not fooling anyone by doing the whole "will they wont they" about frisk leaving the ruins XD. it's really only a matter of time before they confront toriel about it, and martlet wouldnt hesitate to follow right after them. she's brought a human through the underground once, and she'd do it again no questions asked

currently i think this au takes place around 5 or 6 years after uty? so martlet definitely had time to think about her time with clover and definitely knows about what toriel does. she knows the game plan. either she helps keep the next human safe in the ruins or she keeps them safe out in the underground. still a royal guard, after all.

actually i want to amend my testimony, I don't quite think "chara is you". that would require them to not be their own person, to take on your qualities and personality and attributes something that's plainly untrue.

YOU are chara. that's the difference. this way you get the meta element that involves you directly with the story (especially when you name them after yourself, which you're implicitly meant to do, as that constitutes the main plot twist in the game) while also allowing chara to be their own character with their own personality, relationships, preferences and backstory. does that make sense?

#this also counters people who want to turn them into a self insert and forcibly assign a gender/pronouns to them that doesn't match canon #like there's a breathing space where you're allowed to be chara. then there's where the fallen human is their own character in the story #the game lets you choose their literal name trust me if their gender was something ''up to your choice'' it would've been so. explicitly #in the starting screen #undertale #chara #entry log

I don’t write full xreaders fanfics well but imagine a Spamton x Reader where his voice glitch prevents him from saying I love you. He can’t get it out without saying some advertising clip or it warbling and he feels super bad and pathetic cause you deserve to hear it. Try as he might to set the mood, he just can’t do it, one of those words/phrases forever messed up within his lexicon.

Cue you deciding that saying I love you the normal way is overrated. You know what he means and you decided to show him by only saying I love you in the same messy glitched way he does. It’s goofy and clunky but that's what you love about him and he loves you even more for the rather cute and successful attempt to make him feel normal <3
