Socks are successfully shrink-fitted! The black pair fits very well indeed, with just enough stretch in the foot to put on; the royal blue pair needs one more time, which is to be expected really.

On days when I play salmon run I always yet visions of the game at night while I try to fall asleep. Straight up getting flashbacks to having missles launched at me and hoards of salmoniods when I close my eyes. It takes so much longer to fall asleep because of this I need compensation from Mr. Grizz.

Chris Pratt delivers a performance so inferior to Jack Black's in the Mario movie that the kid behind me in the theater was saying "I want the bad guy to win!" Over an over by the end of the movie

Guys, when we draw trans people, can we do more than just slap top surgery scars on a guy and call it a day? I'm not just saying we need to draw more trans guys with boobs (we should) but also more body variety in trans guys in general. A lot of us have big hips or thighs, and I think our art should start recognizing that too. I don't want us to go out here creating new beauty standards surrounding trans men. I'm sick of that. I want trans bodies of every kind, as we are now, as we wish to be, and as we will become. They all matter.

My professor gave me a giant chunk of pumpkin so I can make it into soup... then I asked my dad for soup advice and he said people don't make anything with pumpkin and it's all just squash 😭

doing more thinking about the role textiles play in my work and how it relates to my transness, it's something I didn't realize had a huge connection until recently. I like to utilize fiber arts like crochet and sewing and such in my work, but im in a constant battle against their domestic associations, against the kitsch and feminine associations, and against their perceptions as simple craft projects. I am always looking to transform these materials and alter their perception through the other materials I use with them. I am using the skills I have been given, passed down through the women in my family, but I am simultaneously fighting their perception as being womanly. I don't buy into the misogynistic narrative that processes traditionally seen as women's work are somehow lesser, I don't believe that about these materials and that's why I still use them - but at the same time I am trying to shake off any ideas of "womanhood" from my work. I want to use the language I have been given. It's not my fault the men in my family did not pass down their skills to me, I just try and be grateful for the women who did teach me their skills. I haven't fully thought through how to write about all this or how I feel about all this, but I know it's going to be important to developing new artistic and visual language to talk about my trans experience. I am so desperate for a new, personal, visual language to talk about transness with because lord knows I am sick of the cliches. I don't want to abandon the skills I have that are associated with women, I just want to transform them into something associated with me and my own personal brand of masculinity.

It is so fucked up that olly from wha has blue eyes. He literally has so much brown eyed swag it's unreal. I refuse to accept blue eyed olly. Brown eyed swag transcends all.

HUH????
The artist is Minna Sundberg aka Hummingfluff, author of the webcomics Stand Still Stay Silent as well as A Redtail's Dream. I was a big fan of Stand Still Stay Silent for a good couple years, I followed a pet project by this artist called City of Hunger which was a concept for a video game! Unfortunately when artist converted to Christianity in 2020 she took down all work for this pet project, although her other work is still up and doesn't seem to be going anywhere soon. (She also ended Stand Still Stay Silent prematurely, although it was given a conclusion.) Her current work is all focused on Christian stuff now, which I have no interest in, but the old stuff is totally worth a read! But yeah... it's all pretty wild and kind of funny tbh.
I was a really big fan of this video game concept and was sad to see it taken down so I'm going to be archiving all the work for it (thank you wayback machine). I've saved all the images and videos for this project and I'll be uploading them + the text associated with them onto a sideblog soon hopefully.
In the meantime here's some art from it!

Need Splatoon players to stop being scared of seeing Japenese players in their lobbies. Yes, Japanese players are better than players anywhere else at the TOP LEVEL of competitive play, but even at that, they don't always win. Those people are not the people you're fighting in your turf war/anarchy/x battles. When you encounter Japanese players in your lobbies, they are on the exact same ranking system you are. The game is going to try to match you up with people who are close to your skill level. Even though there's not a visible ranking system in turf war the game is still keeping track trying to give you fair matches. The biggest issue you'll probably face when playing Japanese players is some lag or connection issues, as these occur whenever you're playing someone incredibly far away from your location.
TLDR; stop being scared of Japanese players in your lobbies, they are the same skill level as you and everyone is just here to have a good time
