the same place. you always go to the same place when you want some peace and quiet from the fbi agent life, nobody knew about it, it was just a little spot that was only yours, with nothing on it but tall grass and surrounded by trees, you have no idea how you found it but you're glad you did, to you it was the best place in the world to watch the stars or the sunset after a long day of work, it was your little secret.

one day someone was already there when you arrived, a familiar face, that guy that you thought you had nothing in common with besides having the same job has him, spencer reid also thought that place was only his, his little secret, he explained how he went there often as well, but neither of you were mad the other was there, it was quite the opposite actually even though it was never in your plans to share that place with anyone, for some reason, you felt nothing but happiness when you saw him there.

after that the two of you started to go there together after work, hoping the others didn't notice you two leaving at the same time so often, after only a couple late night conversations you realised how good it felt to be around him, to talk to him, that's something you never knew by only working on cases with him, that maybe he wasn't just the annoying guy you worked with after all, he knew how to talk about things other than boring facts and statistics, he became someone you wanted to be around all the time and you started to feel a pain on your chest when it came to say goodbye, even tho you knew you would see him again tomorrow.

"pinky promise this will always be our little secret?" you asked him.

"i promise" he replied with a soft smile as he interlocked his pinky with yours.

you couldn't be happier that now you two will forever share a little secret, you couldn't be happier that now you two will forever share the same place.
