majima doesn't exactly have a good relationship with his family. as in his blood family.

at the start, everything is fine, he grows up having a happy early childhood with both parents earning plenty to afford a nice place to live in tokyo, as well as that, they have very comfy jobs, so it's not like they are overworked either. he's also an only child, so he has no siblings.

while everything seems happy in this household, his parents didn't always get along, & were nearly just together for so long because of their kid, this doesn't last as it results in divorce with majima's father walking out of his, & his mother's life. majima is in his teens when this happens, so ends up resenting his father. his mother's career is ruined, she ends up turning to alcohol, & gets in debt with loan sharks.

this does cause majima to lash out a bit, he ends up dropping out of high school, ends up with a bad crowd, gets influenced by them, joins a biker gang, & graduates into yakuza by the age of eighteen. he wants a better life for himself, & he considers shimano more of a father than he ever did his blood one ( who he eventually does lash out at as he gets more powerful in yakuza, himself - RGG online lore ).

majima considers both of his parents to likely be dead in the current verse ( LAD7-8 ), but the status of his father is unknown, he could be living, but majima would want nothing to do with him. he might have a hard time holding himself back from actually causing his father harm if he ever did have a run-in with him, his father was simply a businessman too, not a yakuza, & would likely judge his son harshly if he ever knew ( if he is still alive, he has likely heard of what his son does now ). his mother is likely dead due to the debt, & being unable to pay it back, i wouldn't say majima outright hates his mother, but he hates what became of her.

majima actually has a better relationship with his made family, which is saejima, & yasuko. he meets saejima sometime after having joined shimano's family, & the two quickly become good friends despite their differences. he meets yasuko who is saejima's younger sister who majima treats as if she was his own younger sister as well. yasuko is dead in current verse, which means majima does miss her, saejima is still alive, & majima is still extremely close to him, even after both of them become ex-yakuza.

For petty things, absolutely! Upset him over the silliest of topics and he will not forget anytime soon.

As for something more serious, he ironically has less of a possibility to actually strike back. Lashing out through words would be the most common first response to someone harming him or someone he cares about. Demanding to know why the other party did this then making any accusations from there. If the other party is still hurting him or his friends then he will try to stop them himself. None of these I would consider to be revenge, though.

When it comes to past harm it's more complicated. If the other party could potentially cause more harm then Teddie and/or his friends will do something about it but I think that's not what the question is for.

Feeling at least some anger towards the other person for harmful actions is a natural reaction for Teddie. After all, the well-being of his friends mean the world to him. He is still angry with Adachi during Ultimax, for example. However, if that anger ever develops into a desire to cause harm, he will shut those feelings down as soon as he can. Strong feelings of anger tend to go straight into shame for thinking that way at all. If the feeling persists, he'll isolate himself from everything relating to that person as a sort of cleanse. Negative emotions such as these remind him of his own nature as a shadow. If he were to answer their call then he'd consider himself to be no better than a regular shadow.

The thing about trying to push emotions down is, there's a limit. Do not try to reach that limit.

The scent of coffee was somewhat dominant in the small café, giving the impression that it was all they served. But luckily, upon closer inspection, that wasn't the case. They'd agreed to meet up in a small, less frequented café — mainly in the hopes that her companion wouldn't be disturbed by ( mainly ) fangirls during their small get - together.

Head perked up at the sight of a familiar face entering, a smile soon curled upon her lips as a hand rose to wave at @stealsminds — to ensure he'd find her despite there being only a handful of other customers at the other tables.

“ I hope you don't mind I already ordered some pastries for us. ” Because who could say no to some cake ? Plus, it's not like she could order anything wrong when it came to pastries.. right ? And if anything.. she'd just eat his share ! “ No worries, I didn't order drinks yet ; I wasn't too sure what you'd like. ” Because although he was now a ( temporary ) member of their merry gang, the two of them hadn't exactly spent a lot of time getting to know each other just yet ; something she hoped would change soon.

“ I hope it wasn't too hard to find. ”

it was funny in a way to find out the other's full name, goro akechi, they both shared the same given name. he had yet to tell the other his name in full yet, but he figured, he might already know. majima wasn't a name that went lightly around kamurocho, most knew when they heard of the name majima, it ran back to a yakuza by the name of goro majima.

A bear trapped in his own story. In retrospect he should’ve noticed Goro’s attention dwindling away the longer his tale went on. People who have never worked retail might not be too intrigued about a story where a child’s toy knocks over an entire display and a few items on a shelf so senpai Teddie had to round up a group of part-timers to help bring everything in order after calming down a child that was left guilty over the whole event. For Teddie this was a sense of enjoyment over the mundane. There was a sense of pride over being an everyday hero that clogged his attention of his surroundings. Both were here in physically, but in their own worlds mentally.

While nearing the end of his tale he turned his sights toward Goro for real this time. A momentary break from his own mind was good, otherwise he would’ve kept going.

So he checked in with his new friend. As always he replied politely. Teddie waited, his eyes glued on the notebook slowly being put away, until he properly steered his mind away from where it was trapped. He fixed his position on his chair until he was sitting tall with his properly supported. It was a quick change since his posture was always above average.

“How about we change the subject instead? We’ve been talking about me for a long time now.” He smiled as if the very mention of himself counted as a compliment.

“What do you want to talk about? It can be anything! The world is your oyster!” Teddie leaned in a bit closer as the right side of his face created a small smirk, “You always look like you’re lost in thought about something. Even when I tell a different kind of story I feel like I’m not getting to you…”

it wasn't as if he drank enough already, he was just through a horrible break up, & the first place he decided to drop by was bantam, he needed to drink, to take his mind off of everything that just happened, he was smoking a cigarette having a break from all the drinking he had been doing as he heard the clink of a glass being sat down in front of him.

he was cut off as the stranger who was sat next to him spoke up, saying that he had got him a drink ; majima looked at the other, he didn't look far from his age. still, random stranger buying him a drink because he looked lonely ? did he look that depressed about his situation ?

❝ ya can tell ? well, thanks i guess. ❞

if he rejected the drink, it would have been considered kind of rude, & well, majima didn't say no to free stuff, as he put his cigarette out in the ashtray, & downed the shot of alcohol. dude had good tastes at least.

❝ who are ya anyway ? buyin' drinks to random strangers ya meet, don't see that often 'round here. ❞
