#100DaysofPoetics Part One (i'm transcribing this entire list): i mailed this pinkish #bucketlist to @homiehousepress for their first exhibition. It's called "The Shadow Means it's Real" and it will be held at @stevensongalleries, from 1/28-4/02. If you're in the DMV area, stop by, it's free! And hopefully you'll see my list there, I mailed it yesterday, a bit worried that it's too late. Still I'm really happy I made it, I needed an updated bucket list. The exhibit is made up of submissions of various ephemera to replicate HHP's headquarters' walls. Image description: on a metal grey bench full of holes are purple and blue makers and an orange pen. There are two overlapping pink papers with white lines and ruling is a "get a life" candy heart sticker in the upper left corner with a drawn orange square next to it. Beneath is a sticker of a brown fish and along the side are blue stamped out words "eileen's bucket list". Then from the top in handprinted altenating metallic blue and purple marker, with drawn orange boxes next to each phrase, are bucket list tasks: ■ swim in the deep end ■ drive solo ■ read & sleep in a treehouse ■ complete a residency ■ cook a meal w/out help ■ publish: an experimental novel ■ twine ■ comic book ■ bitsy ■ chapbook ■ thick zine ■ story app ■ photo essay ■ lyrical essay ■ short story ■ in an uncoventional format ■ in a beloved lit mag (Blue library date stamp "15 Jan 2019" twice right next to "DATE:" in white) ■ become a (co)editor of a printed work ■ @abandonedb2dbc in a foreign country ■ curate an exhibit ■ compose a foreword and/or introduction (for someone else's thrilling work) ■ submit all (completed) @thesketchbookproject (i feel like i have SIX, yikes) ■ see Japan with @sokaprincessichigo ■ make my own junk journal ■ visit a sophie calle art exhibit in person ■ write a (living) will ■ be a bookshop keeper in wigtown, scotland at The Open Book (air bnb where you pay to take of the bookstore) ■ donate blood ■ finish high school notebook ■ watch @margaret_cho live ■ take a writing class with a favorite author ■ complete #messagestoc (public art project where i abandon 100 messages in 100 places, on no. 5) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bs1j1qGHhJe/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=mbwr4umcq6hz
