 “I’m going to kill him.  Seriously.  This is fucking ridiculous.” He’s looking at the piano a little too eagerly.  Maybe that would make Edward realize the consequences of his actions.  The threat of death and a broken piano.  Except of course Edward wouldn’t be killed if it came down to it.  The newly wed was too valuable to the Volturi.  Bella dying would probably make him realize he should’ve just turned her early.  Jasper forces hands to close around air instead of smashing black keys.  “It’s basically either they believe us and we’re fine...or everyone but Alice, Edward and I die.  I hate this.  I’m going to break something.  I can’t deal with all of this at the same time.”

If someone had told her yesterday before she had left her mother’s house that Colin Bridgerton would have proposed marriage to her, she would have thought them mad. And yet it had happened.
