I’m gonna make Adeleines opinions on all the dream friends and then maybe the helpers idk (and a few others cuz fuck it!)
Kirby: 10/10 best goddamn friend
Huge ball of love and joy!!! The happiest little friend!! He may be small but he is packed with love!!! One of Adeleines best friends and she care him :)
Bandee: 10/10 Friend :)
Friend from way back during the Crystal Shards incident! He’s a little anxious (think Tuter from Bear in the Big Blue House) but he’s very sweet and strong! He’s supportive of her and also squishable. Dees are surprisingly squishy!
King Dedede: 10/10 Mentor figure!
He’s super cool! Helped her find herself during Crystal Shards and was the first to get her to speak to everyone! She used to only speak French and barely spoke English (tragedy had occurred a few years before and she hadn’t recovered from it yet, being so young when it all happened), and he taught her a whole bunch of stuff along the way! She learned how to speak a lot of English, got a bunch of random trivia out of him, and learned how to be strong! He’s almost a dad but she’s too scared to try and call him that (he would ABSOLUTELY let her call him “dad” tho)
Meta Knight: 9/10 Oddly nice!
She was nervous around him early on because “mysterious knight has a sharp sword and doesn’t seem to care about safety” but he proved her wrong! He’s surprisingly chill and she really enjoys his company!
Rick, Kine, and Coo: 9/10 Old friends!
She’s known them since she was 3! Her mom introduced her to them before Dreamland 3 happened and she’s best buds with them! They’re all a lot bigger than you’d think and she can and will snuggle up with them in a big sleeby cuddle pile. All are soft except for Kine who is smooth :)
Marx: 7/10 Kinda scary but SOFT
He’s kinda creepy looking, especially when he’s got his wings out, but he’s not as terrifying as he looks? He’s got some odd little ticks but he’s snuggly and smol! He’s fluffy and it’s really weird? Like, he doesn’t look like he’s fluffy??? But he is??? She cannot wrap her brain around it but tries not to.
Gooey: 7/10 Funky lad
Points taken off because of him being Dark Matter and thats got a lot of trauma behind it for her, but Gooey is a legit funky friend. She was terrified of him at first (see: Star Allies title screen skits) but she’s friends with him now! He’s got a habit of holding everything with his tongue and exploring with said tongue (stuff gets slimy real quick) but aside from that he’s a malleable squishy friend!
Daroach: 8/10 Rat boy!
He’s got a New York accent and he’s a chaotic little bastard but absolutely sweet!! He’s made Adeleine an honorary Squeak Squad member and even gave her a little bell to commemorate the event! He takes her on occasional treasure hunts (safer ones because she’s fragile and speed is not her forte) and she gets to keep whatever she finds and an even portion of the total spoils!
Dark Meta Knight: 10/10 Adopted dad
Dude literally said “Is anyone gonna adopt this poor, fragile child who deserves the world?” and then didn’t wait for an answer. She was originally almost just as scared of him as she was of Gooey, but she warmed up to him super quick! He looks scary (and can be) but is really just a short ball of love and purrs.
Magolor: 7/10 What is he saying.
He’s the cool wizard friend but points off because half the time he’s speaking in Halcandrian and she has no idea what that is or how to translate it, nor does anybody else. He’s wacky and absolutely does magic tricks for people (Adeleine being one of them since she has a very vague grasp on magic and that stuff looks super cool to her) but like... what is he saying????????
Taranza: 9/10 Spider friend!!!!!!
He’s really good friends with her! They both sorta have someone they lost and still grieve over (Adeleines being her mom and Taranzas being Sectonia), so they look out for one another in that aspect, but they get along really well!!! He’s kinda soft and he sticks out his tongue when he’s happy!! They both go to Floralia and drink tea together at least once a month!!!
Susie: 6/10 Tolerable...
Susie is not a personal favorite for Adeleine on account of the fact that she tried to invade (emphasis on tried) Cloudy Park to mechanize it. She only succeeded in getting data from Kracko (who nearly fucking obliterated her and her robot right then and there) and was quickly chased out. The two have just... not liked each other since and Adeleine wasn’t very happy to see her join the group. She’s done some good things!!! She created super eco-friendly tech and gave it out to Dreamlanders and such, but her personality can be bitchy and she tends to not get along too well.
Francisca: 8/10 Cold but a friend!!!
She’s very very pretty and Adeleine kinda envies that (she doesn’t exactly have the means to keep herself looking pristine. The best she can do is wear something that isn’t her smock and fluff up her hair a little) but they’re close friends!! The two make gelato sometimes and it always turns into a fun mess because Adeleine has no fucking idea how to bake literally anything other than cinnamon rolls and gelato is WAY outside her skill level. It always tastes good tho!!!
Flamberge: 9/10 Cooking buddy!
Don’t let these two into the kitchen at once unless you want a banquet of food to come out of it. Berge brings out Adeleines more chaotic side and they get into trouble a lot. They make up for it with cooking! You’d think Berge would burn stuff with her fire magic but nope! Shes a frighteningly good cook! They can often be found cooking together!!!
Zan Partizanne: 8/10 Gives me mom energy but doesn’t seem to like me.
Had a bad habit of insulting everyone because she didn’t like them (see: Kirby Twitter) but she’s warmed up to everyone. She tried to keep up that “tough-guy” facade because she hates being seen as weak, but Adeleine has caught her holding Kirby like a kitten and bouncing/rocking him whilst baby talking him. She’s shown some genuine care for Adeleine, but sometimes it’s reeeeeaalllyy hard to tell if she genuinely cares about her or not.

Ok ok...hear me out😂 So I always joke when playing that when a killer is carrying a survivor, why don’t the other survivors just kick them in the back of the knee or try to wrestle their legs out from under them. I would live to see that😂 Could you do a scenario or headcanons of how some of the killers (the big ones or survivor sized) would react to a survivor trying to take out their legs (either succeeding or failing) to free their friend from the killers grasp? I need this😂
this idea is so good 😂 i do actually think the exact same thing!! i’m sure it wouldn’t have an effect on some of the killers but i can see the legion and danny who are of similar sizing getting dragged down 😂
i decided to name all the killers and write a short para on what their reaction would be and whether they drop the survivor etc, hope that’s ok!!! you can also specify a certain killer if you like and i’ll write a short 😊 again hope this is okay!!
I have put it under a keep reading as its quite long, enjoy!
Killer reactions to survivors trying to take them out
The Trapper | Evan Macmillan: he actually finds it cute that they all try and take him out because it never works, no matter how many of them try. evan doesn’t even realise they’re tryna take him out by his legs until they start shouting rude things at him. makes him chuckle.
The Wraith | Philip Ojomo: philip has skinny legs so when survivors try and push him over he really struggles to keep his balance. there is an occasional time that a survivor gets free. he gets really angry and stands in a corner sulking.
The Hillbilly | Max Thompson Jr: idek with this one, i can just imagine him being completely confused when 3 survivors rush at his legs and try and knock him over. doesn’t budge, but it does startle him, which gives the survivor over his shoulder a few seconds to try and get free. his confusion is his downfall and he knows it.
The Nurse | Sally Smithson: she is actually more worried about the survivors hurting themselves trying to get their friend free than her hooking someone and pleasing the entity. she will drop their teammate just so none of them get injured really badly. she’s too good for this realm.
The Shape | Michael Myers: sorry, but if anyone is being carried by michael then they are never getting out. grip like iron and also legs of steel. if survivors launch themselves at his thighs they just hurt their own bodies rather than him. michael just ignores all attempts as he knows it’ll have no effect.
The Hag | Lisa Sherwood: due to her height and frail structure, she’s defo gonna be taken out if anyone tries to tackle her. the person she’s carrying will be easily free. she gets really upset, and i can imagine she’d slug everyone so no one could take her out when she picks anyone else up. although, if she walks past someone whilst they’re on the ground, they grab her ankle and pull her to the floor.
The Doctor | Herman Carter: throw themselves at his legs and they’ll just get shocked. all of his body is basically full of electricity so there’s no point them even trying to take him out. he has no problem with anyone trying though, gives him some sort of sick enjoyment.
The Huntress | Anna: anna is an odd one, she either gets very protective over the survivors trying to take her down, as she doesn’t want to see them hurt. or… she’s incredibly mean and gets super angry that they’re all trying to hurt her. doesn’t see why they’d try and take her down as they know it’s her job to hook people. she never stops anyone though, she got those strong legs.
The Cannibal | Bubba Sawyer: he never lets a survivor get out of his grasp. if others try and take him out they’ll fail. he gets miserable if someone tries though, he just wants them to stop bullying him. makes him see red and he goes into a rage, everyone is brutally killed by the end of the trial.
The Nightmare | Freddy Krueger: smol boy freddy gets tackled all the damn time. to every single one of the survivors he just has no… scare factor. a lot of the time he does manage to stay upright and hook the survivor he’s holding. after, he tries his best to be scary so they don’t try it again but it never works.
The Pig | Amanda Young: surprisingly, she generally manages to keep hold of the person in her hands. even though she’s quite small, she is strong and is definitely not weak. it doesn’t really bother her that the survivors try and take her down, she expects it to happen. after all, why wouldn’t they try and save their friends from that dreadful hook?
The Clown | Jeffrey Hawk: ok i feel like i don’t even need to mention whether this guy manages to keep a hold of the survivors (he defo does without fail). if anyone tries to take him out, he senses it, and spins round so they run into his belly and bounce off. he makes himself laugh, and it’s actually his horrible cough that poses more of a danger of dropping someone than the survivors.
The Spirit | Rin Yamaoka: try and get their friend free and she will drop whoever she is holding immediately and come after the other survivors. they are all most likely downed within a matter of minutes. don’t mess with the spirit.
The Legion | F.J.S.J: safe to say they all get tackled to the ground, and it depends on who it is on whether that person being held will go free. if it’s frank, he will try his hardest to stay standing and sometimes he does, but if he doesn’t he will grip the person so damn hard he could crack their bones - they’re not getting away from him. julie tries to do the same as frank but usually gives up trying. susie is just too kind and if they try and knock her over she’ll go down on purpose so that the person can get away. joey is a bit of a mixed bag, it depends on his mood. he will either do the same as frank or be like susie.
The Plague | Adiris: she doesn’t really need to worry about the other survivors and them trying to get their friend free. as long as they’re sick, and throwing up then their attempts will be failed. they’re too weak to try and push her over. however if they’re not sick, they may just be able to do it because her legs are decaying. she has height on her side though.
The Ghostface | Danny Johnson: the survivors try and take him down, and it only depends on how well executed the act is. danny is very observant so a lot of the time he knows when they’re planning to try and tackle him and he can avoid it. therefore he doesn’t tend to drop the person he’s carrying. bit of a sick bastard and sometimes plays along with the survivors, obviously with an ulterior motive in mind.
The Demogorgon: why would they even try and hurt demodog???? even if they do try, he won’t drop the survivor, you have to be kind to him to do that.
The Oni | Kazan Yamaoka: dear lord. they just don’t even try with him. they’d never be able to get their friend free from his grasp. he’s way too strong and is basically made of iron. they know that there is no point in even attempting, because he wouldn’t even feel them touching his legs, and if he did notice, then they’d be fucked.
The Deathslinger | Caleb Quinn: one push against his legs and his gun is back in his hand, chain through whoever tried to try and take him down. the survivor he’s carrying is not getting free, he’s a cowboy, he knows what to do to combat any attack on him.

What Trinket? (GT Horror)
WARNING: This story contains ideologically sensitive material, dehumanization, and vore in a GT context.
So. This is part of an AU that combines the Print universe and the Shot in the Dark universe. Sylvia is a rebel who helps prints (barbie-size smols) and trinkets (3-inch smols) escape to freedom, which is a big no-no. Capture for this crime results in size change and being revoked of all freedoms. As you can see in the last scene, Sylvia and Jon end up crossing paths somehow--but their early days aren't exactly ideal :') BAD Jon. You do not keep ya girl in a jar. Even if you don't know she'll be ya girl one day. Jon is like?? SEMI justified in being wary of her. But he's just ignorant. Propaganda states that trinkets are being punished for being the worst kind of criminals, when in reality they're usually: a) prints who tried to escape to a better life, or b) humans who have tried to help prints and trinkets escape to a better life. Don't worry, he'll learn :') Characters belong to me and the lovely @little-miss-maggie <3
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Getting into the building was laughably easy. Sylvia slipped in behind a chattering group of people her age. Some of them had to be visitors, and she blended in seamlessly, a quiet one among the others. She smiled right at the doorman as she passed him—a friendly, “thanks for keeping the building safe” smile. He nodded at her, arms folded importantly in front of him. She joined the group in the elevator and kept to herself, pressing the button for the sixth floor. The others got off on the fourth, utterly unaware of the intruder they left behind. Perhaps they were also oblivious that they had a monster living two floors above their heads. If they did know, perhaps they were content to look away and gossip instead of doing anything about it. She couldn’t judge them too harshly if that was the case. She’d encountered enough monsters to understand the risks of getting between them and their prey.
That was why her heart raced even when she saw nobody in the hall. Luckily, apartment 6A was right next to the elevator. She’d seen his car leave the parking garage, had to be leaving for work. Now it was just a matter of getting in and out. Her lockpick slid neatly in the lock, and she had the door open in less than a minute. She took one more look up and down the hall before slipping inside and gingerly shutting the door behind her. James Benton’s apartment was sprawling and luxuriant. Nicer than a bartender could afford on his own, that was for sure, no matter how generous his tips were. But Sylvia knew for a fact that it wasn’t his main source of income. He was selling trinkets under the table, and rumor had it that he was a fan of his own product, too. Either way, she had to get them away from him. She made her way hurriedly through the apartment. Even if he was gone, the sooner she got out, the better. She scanned the tables and corners for any sign of captives, but he must have been smarter than to have them out in the open for guests to spot. The place looked as innocent as any other upscale apartment. Until she peeked into the bedroom. Her eyes were drawn straight to the nightstand, where a thick hardcover book was balanced atop an overturned glass. Trapped beneath was a tiny, huddled form with shamrock green hair. “Hi there,” Sylvia breathed as she approached with soft steps. She dropped to her knees in front of the nightstand, bringing her eyes level with the glass. The imprisoned girl flinched and ducked, covering her head with her arms. “No, it’s okay,” Sylvia said in an even softer voice. “You don’t have to be scared of me.” When she received no response, Sylvia lifted the book away and then the glass, setting them both on the floor beside her. The poor girl didn’t move, other than to timidly peek past her arms. She was naked, and slick with something that Sylvia was too squeamish to identify. There were faint indents on her arms, legs, and middle. Teeth marks, Sylvia noted with a sinking heart. It took a moment for Sylvia to find her voice again. “I’m Sylvia. What’s your name?” The girl lowered her arms, eyes wide and distrusting. “S-Susie.” “Susie. You’re going to be okay.” Sylvia pursed her lips sympathetically when Susie remained curled tight, covering herself as best she could. “Do you know where your clothes are?” A sob hitched her minuscule shoulders. “He t-tore them off. Threw them away. Said I wouldn’t be needing them anymore.” “That fucking…” Fury uncurled in Sylvia’s core, and she dug into her pocket to produce a folded handkerchief, holding it out to Susie. “Are there any other people around? Where else does he keep them?” Susie’s face twisted with sorrow as she stood shakily and drew the scrap of fabric around herself. “There’s no one left. I’m the last of the batch.” “No…” Sylvia shut her eyes for a moment, sick to her stomach. “I’m so sorry. I… I wish I could have come sooner and gotten everyone else out.” Susie raised her somber gaze to meet Sylvia’s. “You’re going to… save me?” “Consider it done.” The smallest of smiles tugged at Sylvia’s lips, and she laid her hand out for Susie to climb on. “I can get you somewhere safe, with others who’ve been rescued. You won’t have to be afraid anymore. You can just… live.” Looking like she might collapse into tears, Susie staggered onto the offered palm. Sylvia cupped her fingers gently and ferried her off the nightstand. Susie tugged the handkerchief tighter around herself, slumping wearily into the curve of Sylvia’s hand. “Thank you,” Susie whimpered. “Thank you so much.” A noise came from the front of the apartment. Sylvia stood up and froze. She heard the front door click and swing open. Snapping out of it, she brought Susie close to her shoulder and nimbly made her way to the first hiding place in sight—the open closet door. She ducked into the shadows and held her breath, brushing a fingertip down Susie’s trembling form through the handkerchief to comfort her. For a few minutes, sounds came from another room in the apartment. The scent of food wafted into the bedroom, and Sylvia wanted to kick herself. She should have made sure he was at work instead of barreling in the moment he left the apartment. It hadn’t occurred to her that he had only gone to get dinner. “Just you and me today, lovely,” James called cheerfully from outside the bedroom. “You lucky girl. I’ll let you choose where you want to keep me company, since you’ve been behaving—in the drink, or on the plate.”   Susie muffled a whimper into Sylvia’s shoulder. Unable to risk murmuring reassurance, Sylvia gave her a gentle squeeze. Footsteps trailed into the room. From the shadows, Sylvia caught a glimpse of him and saw the moment he stopped in his tracks. “Shit!” Sylvia internally shared the curse with him, recalling that she had set the book and glass neatly on the floor next to the nightstand. It was glaringly obvious that Susie had not been the one to free herself. Cursing again, he moved all around the room, even ducking to look under the bed. Then he stood and fished his phone from his pocket, punching in a number. “This is James Benton from 6A,” he barked into the phone. “Someone broke into my apartment—how the fuck is that possible?” There was a pause, and when he shouted again, Sylvia and Susie flinched in unison. “Damn right I want security sent up! Call the cops too! And I want to know who the fuck is on doorman duty right now!” He stormed from the room. Sylvia slipped out from behind the closet door immediately. If she couldn’t get out of the apartment before security arrived and search the place, she and Susie would be screwed. So would James, for harboring a trinket. But that would be a small victory compared to the consequences. Peering past the bedroom door, Sylvia saw James stalk into another room. A steaming plate of food sat on the counter alongside an ice-filled glass, forgotten. She inched toward the sofa, strategizing the most inconspicuous way to reach the door. She’d have to come up with a way to get out unnoticed by security once she was in the hall, but that would have to wait. Barely a foot away from the sofa, the floorboards creaked beneath her. She scrambled behind the furniture as James strode back into the room, following the noise. She pressed her lips into a thin line, eyes still locked on the door. A long beat of silence. “You’re still here, aren’t you?” he said. His footsteps hurried into the kitchen. A drawer opened and shut. Before Sylvia had time to bolt for the door, he came back into the living room, moving slower. She stifled a curse when she caught a glimpse of him moving toward the door, blocking her only exit. There was no time to try and outsmart him. “Hang tight,” Sylvia whispered to Susie. One steeling breath was all Sylvia allowed herself. She charged out from behind the sofa. She might have been able to take James by surprise and dart past him, but he was brandishing a kitchen knife. Startled as he was by her sudden appearance, he recovered quickly and shoved her away from the door, pointing the knife threateningly. His eyes lit up with recognition when she staggered back and braced her hand on the front table. “Hello again,” he said. Without a blink of hesitation, he came at her and brought the knife down. The blade plunged straight through the back of her hand and part way through the table. Sylvia howled and tried to pull her pinned hand free, but her agony flew to new heights when she only succeeded at widening the massive gash. James easily snatched Susie from her other hand. The trinket wailed and struggled. He plucked away the handkerchief with a sneer and let it fall to the floor. “N-no! Leave her alone!” Sylvia grabbed the lodged knife handle, vision going spotty with pain from the contact alone. She couldn’t do it. She couldn’t stand to pull it out. “All this fuss, and over what?” James cocked his head and rolled Susie from one hand to the other, like a cat toying with a mouse. She bumped against his palms, helpless to stop herself from being played with. Weeping, she fought in vain to straighten herself, only to be passed to his other hand. He smiled down at her, then raised his eyes back to Sylvia. “Is she really worth what’s going to happen to you now?” Sylvia panted. “Y-you… you’re going down too, you know. It’s—it’s illegal, what you’ve been doing. You can’t keep trinkets.” He raised his eyebrows innocently. “What trinket?” James took a step back to be entirely out of Sylvia’s limited reach. Susie received relief for only a moment, sprawled on his open palm, before he took hold of her by the calf. He lifted her to his mouth. Sylvia went perfectly still. He had to be bluffing. Bile rose to the back of her throat when he parted his lips and brushed them up against Susie in some kind of twisted kiss. She screamed and fought to lurch away from him. Then he opened his mouth wider. His tongue slid out over Susie’s dangling body as she sobbed and begged him to leave her alone. “Stop it!” Sylvia yelled, taking hold of the knife handle, this time forcing herself not to let go. James tilted his head back and raised Susie a few inches above his open mouth. He let go. Susie’s screams became shriller. He brought his face level again and kept his mouth open for Sylvia to see Susie frantically scrambling to turn around and face the light. She crawled desperately, fighting to climb past his teeth. “Help!” Susie shrieked. “S-Sylvia, please!” She was halfway out when a smirk curled at the corner of the lips surrounding her. Sylvia was given a final glimpse of Susie’s inconsolable face before James’ tongue effortlessly reeled her back. He closed his mouth and shut his eyes, savoring the squirming lump in his cheek. Someone banged on the door. “Mr. Benton?” James opened his eyes, looked triumphantly at Sylvia. And swallowed. All understanding fled her senses for the span of a second. It felt more like a year. “You fucking freak!” She knew anger, but this was different. Waves of wrath crashed over her, granting her a panicky strength. Her spine turned to steel, and she wrenched the knife straight from her wound, blind to the pain. She got the jump on him quickly enough to take him by surprise. Slashing the bloodied knife at him, she nicked his side. Hissing, he jolted back, which allowed her a window of opportunity to claw at his face, to try and shove her fingers down his throat. Susie wasn’t going to die this way, no, no, no— The door unlocked from the outside and swung open. She flinched, and James kicked her off him. Before she could sit up, he was standing over her. He stomped down on her mangled hand. Wailing, she barely heard his voice over her own. He said something about a crazy intruder. That he had to defend himself when she’d taken the knife from the kitchen. The pressure on her hand eased, and Sylvia was wrenched off the ground. She gasped as her hands were pulled behind her and forced into handcuffs, blood dripping from her fingertips. The pain came at full volume, along with her voice. “Killer!” she shrieked at James, then turned desperately to the security guard. “He’s a killer! H-he swallowed a trinket!” James pulled a face of disgust. “I’ve seen her down at the bar before—she’s not a fan of the whole trinket system. She got kicked out for trying to smuggle some of them out. We gave her a break, but it looks like that was a mistake.” “Police are on their way,” the security guard grunted. “Make sure you mention that in your statement. They’ll want to know about any previous interactions.” “Of course.” Sylvia was shoved onto the sofa to wait. The guard stood at the door to block her exit and watch for the police. James prowled in front of her and stooped down to whisper in her ear. “It’s a shame you’ll have no identity and a new face soon. It would’ve been lovely to see you again. It’s heartbreaking, really. Think of all the fun we won’t get to have together… But I have an idea.” He cupped her face, tracing her jaw with his thumb. “I’ll just have to pretend the next one is you.” Howling, Sylvia threw herself against him. He moved out of reach, snickering—between the pain and the handcuffs, she had little means of pursuing him. Before she knew it, the security guard came over and dragged her out the door. “Sir, please,” she said the moment they were alone in the elevator. “He keeps trinkets in his apartment. He tortures them, kills them. He eats them. Right before you came in, he had one. He didn’t think twice about—” “I suggest you shut your mouth before you make this worse on yourself.” Two squad cars were parked outside by the time he led her into the foyer. The doorman was being reprimanded by another security guard in the corner. A couple of cops walked past the murmuring crowd that had gathered by the doors. She was handed off and pushed into the backseat of one of the cars. She tried again to plead her case, but the door slammed shut before she could get a sentence out. She sat in silence for a few minutes, burdened with the stares of onlookers. When she peered through the window, she found James standing in front of the apartment building’s doors, one hand on the cut Sylvia had given him. He was speaking to one of the officers. While the cop typed notes into his tablet, James met Sylvia’s gaze. He slowly brought his other hand to the front of his throat, then dragged it down to his chest, then to his stomach. A smug grin dominated his features. She didn’t scream this time. The screams were too big to come out. Her mind emptied of thoughts, worries, and hopes. She stared blankly at him while the wound he had carved through her hand throbbed out fresh blood with each heartbeat.
~~~
A scream cut across the quiet bedroom like a hot knife. Jon’s eyes snapped open. For a moment, the darkness was filled with silence, and he thought he had dreamed the noise. But then it came again louder, and this time, it didn’t stop. Kicking the sheets off, Jon bolted out of bed. “Sylvia?” His voice, though urgent, was rough with sleep. His first thought was that she had found a way to get out of the jar. That she had lost her footing in the darkness, fallen from the dresser, and shattered every bone in her body. After fumbling for the switch on his lamp, he peered across the room and found that she was still in the jar, huddled in the middle of the fabric nest. “Sylvia?” Relief softened his tone, and he hurried over to her. The relief was short-lived. She went on screaming, laying on her side in a fetal position. Her voice ricocheted off the glass around her, creating an unsettling sort of echo. That made it sound at first like she was screaming wordlessly, but as Jon listened closely, realization iced his bones. She was actually wailing three words over and over. “I’m so sorry.” “Sylvia! What’s wrong?” No reply. He grabbed the jar as urgently as he dared and brought it up to his face. Her eyes were squeezed shut, and she didn’t seem to react at all to her container being moved. She was sleeping. She had to be. As he mulled over what to do, he realized he had no option but to make contact—no way he was going to jostle the jar in an attempt to wake her. Setting the jar back down, he reached in nudged her arm. She gave another shriek and flinched away from the contact. Her eyes snapped open, and she scrambled as from from his hand as she could, burying herself under a corner of a blanket and pressing herself down against the bottom of the jar. “S-stop,” she gasped. “Don’t touch me!” “I had to.” Jon wrenched his hand out and leaned over the opening to see her. “You were screaming. You must have been having a nightmare?” Sylvia didn’t answer. Through her panting sobs, he could hear her repeating herself again: “No, no, no…” Sitting up, she stayed cowered away from him and clutched her hand tenderly. “Did you hurt your hand?” Jon asked, frowning. She swallowed hard and shook her head, finally turning up to acknowledge him. Her little face was ghost-white. “Not this one,” she said. When she didn’t elaborate, Jon sighed. “Look, I want to help you. I really do. But I can’t do that if you’re going to roam between the silent treatment and being cryptic. Why can’t you tell me what’s going on?” “Because.” She hiccupped and dropped her gaze, looking more scared than angry at his prying. “You could be just like him.” The pain that croaked through her last word made Jon lean back. After a beat of hesitation, he reached his hand back into the jar and brushed a fingertip to her shoulder lightly. She shuddered, but didn’t panic this time. “I have no idea who you mean,” he said, lowering himself to see her through the glass. “But whoever he is… Believe me, I don’t know how I’d live with myself if I gave someone nightmares like this.” She peeked at him, and for a moment, he saw a longing and loneliness so fierce that he was certain she was about to open up. Instead, she hissed and tried to shrug him off. He complied, and that made her pause again. “Leave me alone, and I…. I’ll tell you tomorrow,” she conceded. “Right now, I just—I can’t, okay?” “Okay, he said readily. The promise was more than he could have hoped for after all her stubbornness. He started to pull away, but lingered a second longer. It didn’t sit well with him to keep her trapped when she was so vulnerable. “Do you, uh… want to sleep somewhere else? There’s plenty of room on my extra pillow over there.” She pulled the fabric closer and stayed huddled far back from him. “Go away.”

I made some small references for all the current characters in Rulesrune! Yay! They took forever and probably around 20 to 30 minutes each.
The Contest
This is a personal contest I'm holding since I will be away at camp for a whole week and will literally have no contact with the outside world. None. So why not hold a contest?
What you'll be doing
Pretty much I want to see a swap AU of Rulesrune but find it to complicated myself. So I'm holding a contest to see who'll do it best.
Don't worry you will get something! There will be a prize for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners!
All you have to do is design what you think Rulesswap would look like! That's pretty much the minimum. You don't have to do all the characters but the more the better!
Prizes
1st place will get rights to the Ruleswap AU and two free drawing requests from me as well as a drawing of your version of the characters
2nd place will get two free drawing requests and a drawing of their version of the characters.
Lastly, 3rd place will get one free drawing request and a drawing of their version of the characters.
Starting to finish
The start is right now! And the finnish is the 3rd of August. To enter, just use #Rulesswap ! This content is also being held in both deltarune au aminos, deltarune amino, undertale and undertale au amino and lastly my DA.
Character information.
This is to help you a bit.
In this AU it is MANDATORY for a Darkner to wear gloves when in the presence of a Lightner because when a Lightner and a Darkner touch bad thing can happen. Usually, the Darkner absorbs the Lightner, merging the two and making it impossible to separate them without killing one or both. Once a Darkner has absorbed a Lightner (this is usually not by choice) they can absorb other Darkners as well except they have a say in the matter since they're now "evened out".
Lancer is a smol bean at first. Due to an unfortunate, unforgettable, and unforgivable incident with his father he has a clawed gash across his face. Due to this, he's now color blind. He tends to asks Ralsei and Rouxls Kaard if he'll ever see a rainbow again. Unfortunately, he probably wont. Now later on Lancer finds Susie injured and attempts to help her, not knowing the gloves rule. This, of course, results in them merging and he now sees Susie as his invisible friend. In battle he uses a boomerang and when knocked out an axe will spin above him. Thats just Susie being over protective.
Rouxls Kaard Was just as cheerful as all usual until the incident happened or what the dark world likes to call it "The fall of the spades". After Lancer had been injured, Rouxls took it appon himself to get even with the spade king and by even I mean strait up beat the guy to a bloody pulp and toss him off the side of the castle. Of course, this most definitely killed the king and the kingdom was not happy. Rouxls, knowing about the geat door, took Lancer and C.Round to the door to escape. The guards chased them and they barely made it in. From then on they lived with Ralsei. Things were fine at first until the merging happened. Lancer had gone off and Rouxls was worried where he had run off too. So he went to go look for Lancer, accidentally passing him and Susie. He then found Kris who was concerned or at least curious where their friend went. Rouxls, not able to turn down any child at this point, agreed to help Kris find their friend when they heard Lancer yell "Dad! I'm lost!" Rouxls, in a rush, grabbed Kris and ended up merging with them. Rouxls Kaard is now a very very silent person and seems to have some personal grudge against Ralsei now, as if he knows something that he didn't before. Rouxls with occasionally talk to his soul but its very rare for him to talk at all. Rouxls use to lance in his pare time so uh..thats kinda how he attacks I guess.
Ralsei is alot taller than usual. He's about 6 feet, maybe a little shorter. This makes him a bit intimidating but Lancer loves him as if he was his own dad. Ralsei is kinda quiet but will talk if someone talks to him first. He's pretty nice and tends to take care of things when Rouxls needs a break. After Rouxls and Lancer's merging with the Lightners him and Rouxls haven't gotten along. They tend to fight (usually not physically because Lancer would notice) fairly often and it causes alot of tension. Lancer thinks his dads get along great so they have to at least pretend to like each other when smol bean is around. Ralsei, though very polite, has someone wrong. Very wrong. Its hard to describe but lets just say hes not all that he seems. He's been caught by Rouxls trying to absorb C.Round and Lancer wich has increased the distrust. No one knows who Ralsei merged with but he hates talking about it and seems to have developed a fear of flowers. Mostly big ones. Ralsei, even though he has poor eyesight, thends to avoid wearing his glasses because when he dose he freaks out. Ralsei is fairly skilled in fire magic due to him practicing alot. He also has vines, though extremely rare. He usually avoids using them at all costs and when he dose its purely accidental.
Jevil oh Jevil. Just as crazy as ever, maybe even more. He's still imprisoned but this time he wants to make a deal with you. He wants your soul. Jevil says that he can literally give you the world if you give him your soul. He'll sing about it during his fight and increasingly get more frustrated when you refuse. This Jevil loves to sing so more often then not he'll sing what he has to say. At the end if his fight, no matter how you defeated him, he'll turn into a scythe. Usually Lancer and Rouxls Kaard leave since they find the dungeon creepy but Ralsei will stay behind and take Jevil for himself.
Seam is the courtyard magician to the new king. Who's the new King? you'll find out later. He's a fairly straightforward cat and prefers to keep his magic acts as a profession. He admits that he misses Jevil but is to scared to go and see him again. He's afraid Jevil will be mad for imprisoning him. This leads Seam to be a bit jumpy since he thinks Jevil might have it out for him.
RK's C.Round dosent have much to be said about them. They fallowed Rouxls Kaard and Lancer to the great door. They lived with them kinda like a pet, keeping Lancer company and out of trouble. They're a great guard dog.
Asgore? You may be a bit confused. Why is Asgore in all of this? He's not even in the picture! Well do I have a story for you. You see, in the light world AKA hometown Asriel has been deemed missing since he went off to collage. Its been 3 years longer than he said and everyone was worried. So when Asgore went missing things got hectic. Undyne started doing more patrols and a curfew was set. Now, where do you think the last place Asgore was seen at was? It was the school. Asgore was helping fix some things and went to put something in the closet when he somehow entered the Dark World. There are multiple entrances and he just so happened to appear by the castle. The other kings had yet to be freed and the kingdom was in disarray so Asgore, being the kind hearted soul he is decided that he would be the new king. It took some convincing and research (as much as there could be) but he finally did it and the people are fairly happy.
Dogtrio is a set of 3 C/K.Rounds that work together. C/K.Rounds are more powerful in numbers. The one with the heart on his crown is their leader. He usually commands and heals the other two during battle. Together, combined, they can summon D.O.G. The acronym is unknown.
Robbert, Bobbert, and Elli are best if friends and like to change anyone. More specifically, they want to take down RK for killing the spade king. Unfortunately, they're just 3 idiots in a trenchcoat. The only lethal one is Robbert but he's so busy trying to make sure his friends don't fall off a clif or miss fire their bubble rocket launcher that he can't actually kill you. Bobbert is bubbly and kind and honest doesn't know what he's doing. Elli is mute yet kind and heals the other two when they get hurt.
Susie was absorbed by Lancer and is now considered his guardian. She protects him when no one else is around and helps describe colors to him. She'd go ballistic if anything happened to him.
Kris is just...Kris? They don't have too much do them. They don't talk and kinda just float around RK, waiting for the chance to escape. But they can't. They never will. It's slowly making them violent. Watch out.
Clover is just normal clover. They still haven't found a boyfriend yet.
