Day 2 (October 17):

(Swap one aspect of a character. Examples would be things like age, gender, role or species. Get as creative as you like and explore how the aspect might change the story. Theories or what-if scenarios given the swap are also welcome.)

What if David and Annie were the main characters instead of Elena and Zick? Like, They would keep their character traits obviously, but the roles would be reversed. Like, i immagine David being able to see monsters and ghosts,but never saying it because he feared to be bullied for it, so he would pretend to be an average and stereotypical bully, kinda like in the comics. And he didn't know anything about tamers and all that stuff either. But then one day when he was talking with Annie, after she had been bullied by others because of her dreamy personality, she confessed him that she would love to live stories like those she had read in books, but she knew that monsters and all those things were just fantasy, so maybe she should grow up and find other interests

That's when David told her everything about the things he could see, all he had kept in secret, because he sees so much of himself in her and he didn't want her to start pretending as well. He wants to give her some hope. After this, he quits being a bully and starts being simply himself, still keeping his abilities hidden. They would also become a couple eventually. He would start discovering his powers little by little, and Annie would go with him even if she's scared sometimes About Elena and Zick, i think Zick would be bullied like in the original story, because he believes in monsters and he's not afraid to say it out loud, and once Elena becomes his friend, they would make a duo and just, go in search of monsters and and other paranormal stuff. Also they would have a crush on eachother but wouldn't say it not even under torture, also because they don't even notice it themselves. Just like in the original series, basically. And maybe they could have discovered the existence of monsters by themselves or thanks to Annie and David and started going on adventures with them?

And another headcanon would be that if the «monster-rabbit» episode of the TV show happened in this AU, Elena would have tried to stay there and fight the monster, but Zick would have been like «Elena, no!» and just take her away from there. And Elena would have been mad at him the whole day until he apologized and agreed to go on another adventure with her soon.
