"I…" Her voice softened, vibrant blue eyes peering just over the rims of her glasses as she'd studied Raikov's expression. She smiled, attempting to placate the Major. "No, of course not. That wasn't my intention." A pause as she thought over her next statement, all the while watching him. "It was… a silly suggestion. What would I know about such matters, hm?" continued.

it was bad enough that this WHORE had wormed her way into groznyj grad through attempting to STEAL the love of his life and REPLACE him, but the fact she never seemed to SHUT UP with her USELESS opinions on every little thing that happened made him close to homicidal. were he as animal as he feels at times, the hairs on the back of his neck would be standing on end, hackles raised, teeth bared and clenched and beauteous face contorted into a snarl.

but alas, his animal nature exists in metaphor alone for now, and the most he can manage is a discontented wrinkle of his nose and a twitch of his upper lip.

The question should surprise Tanner. If he were any normal person, surely it would. Then again, if he were a normal person this situation wouldn't be happen. Luna Youngman, former employee of the New York District Attorney's Office and head of the local community crime watch program, wouldn't be sitting here in a dark basement loosely tied to a chair and with 4 grams of midazolam currently being chased out of her system by pure adrenaline. Nothing about this situation was normal, least of all Tanner.

All the same, the young man straightens up with a proud smile, chirping as he adjusts his tie.

"As I said before, Luna--" her name is punctuated with a cadence that borders on sweet, almost adoring. "I'm very impressed by your work. Humble as you are, your skills are well-honed and you are a very driven and determined young woman. You saw that your employers weren't taking the grievances you were putting forth seriously, and so you decided to take matters into your own hands. You set up your own dedicated crime watch program and took it upon yourself to painstakingly sift through each and every report yourself, finding evidence and submitting reports you felt were serious and needed further review in spite of the fact that it wasn't getting you anywhere with your main objective. Even still, you persevered. You believe in what you're doing with such passion."

He speaks so candidly, almost reminiscing on the fact that he's been watching her every move. Like jumping in front of her cameras and breaking into her home and watching her scroll through pages upon pages of reports was some memory rich with nostalgia for him to look back upon and not a terrifying experience for her to live through. He looks as though he might melt, his cheeks rosy and squished by a wide, toothy grin. Then, his attention snaps back to her.

"It's disheartening to see all that dedication, that spirit, going to waste. All that effort you put in being neglected. So, I've decided to reward you. After all this time, you've worked so hard." He waves the folder filled with papers around briefly, before tossing it forward onto the table before her. "I know from watching you for so long that you're capable of handling this information. Even with your little bleeding heart! You've spent so long searching for the Blueblood Killer, and now, you can finally find him. With this!"

A spine along his neck flicked, and his wings shuddered at the sound of a voice, the dragon turns his head quickly to meet the stranger, his maw parted with a light squeal.

Just as fast, his whole form shifts one step at a time until he wholly faced the woman, his claws dug through the soil and tail whipped through the air, fanning some of the flames that still burned in the small camp and blowing away much of the ashes left behind.

Black smoke rose from flared nostrils and seeped out between his teeth. First a growl, as he took a moment to observe this person. How brave one must be to approach a dragon after it decimated a camp of hunters...

Her scent intrigued him, perhaps even the reason he hadn't immediately registered her as a threat, but it did not stop him from rearing back his head and unleashing a powerful roar that ripped from his throat.

And for Beth…Lalo presented the gift with that charming—albeit quite coy—grin of his. A custom crafted knife. It was on the smaller side, around 5 inches whilst closed; nearly doubled when opened. The blade itself was carved from M4 carbon steel; sharp, but not coarse. Oddly smooth to the touch, and durable as ever. The pivoting mechanisms were ceramic, neatly tucked within the comfortable grip, which too was adorned just for her. Inlayed with an intricate red and gold floral design to add that little bit of softness and grace to the weapon.

Beth hadn't truly celebrated Christmas in... years. Too many years. Truth be told, she missed the decorations, the music. The warmth of the lights. Which was why, surprisingly, when she was sent to spend the holidays with the cartel, she'd looked positively BEWILDERED at it all. As if she'd never seen anything remotely Christmas-like before. It was endearing, in a way.

And, even more surprising, was that Lalo had happily joined her. He offered no real judgement, and in fact seemed to encourage it. They'd been spending a lot more time together given recent business opportunities, and yet it never felt forced or taxing. And that alone made Beth appreciative, so much so that she began hunting around for a gift. She searched, and searched, but couldn't find a thing. And just as she was going to tell him the bad news, he presented his own gift.

Hesitant hands accepted his offering, popping the blade to full extension and feeling every inch of the cool length; the craftsmanship, the aesthetics, the weight, the feel of the handle, the materials — it felt custom made, built specifically for her soft grip and harsh work. It was BEAUTIFUL.

Wordlessly, she peered up at him, expression one of unreadable confusion. She liked Lalo a lot, and that wasn't a secret. They got along like a house on fire. They bounced off of each other. Out of all of the cartel, gang types she'd met, he'd by far been the most accepting of her being... a her. Perhaps that was why it tugged at her emotions a little bit. It felt more true and honest. Of course there was an alterior motive, but for now that didn't matter.

Suddenly, her arms wrapped tightly around him, pulling him close into an embrace. She left room for him to break away if he so wished, otherwise holding on until it felt uncomfortable to do so. Stepping back a tiny step, shoe tips touching, Beth peered up at the Salamanca boy and offered a genuine, kind smile. God, she wanted to kiss him.

What caused you to start writing? What was your key point?

OH MY GOD UM im really not sure???? as far as i can remember ive always been writing

i was a freakishly verbose child ( I CALLED MY SISTER AN IMBECILE WHEN I WAS 3??? ) and very ahead in terms of reading and writing because kno. The Autism. i was reading like actually Reading adult-level encyclopedias for fun from when i was like, 3 or something so ive always been into literature and i think it just kinda spawned from there?? i was writing stories and keeping them in punched pockets, writing plays and fanfiction and stories on microsoft word, so it was something i always did afaik

if there was a key point i don't remember it, but there are some things that stick out to me; once when i was around 11?i got a pokemon fan magazine that had honest to god fanfiction in it and that was like. immense to me. like you're telling me other people write about their favourite franchises like this?? and after that i really started taking stuff more seriously in regards to how i was writing another was when i was. ??? unsure but my teacher at the time wrote on my work "remember me when you are a famous author :)" and that sticks with me to this day. she was kind of a huge bitch but that was such a genuinely moving comment and i think abt it a lot sometimes

and a lot of little things too. like being told by online friends that i was an amazing writer for my age, or my english teacher being legitimately visibly excited to talk about my writing. so yea :3

Are you happy with how your favorite canon muse was portrayed in canon?

HMMM. in terms of raikov i Think so ? but i do wish we had got more of him. and specifically more of his relationship with volgin because they're very cute together. idk if i've mentioned it here before but i theorise that their relationship was initially meant to play a larger part in mgs3, because mgs is known for having very multi-layered and complex villains, and volgin isn't really shown as one. and yeah that's likely what they were going for with a more bond-esque narrative, but the fact he's constantly portrayed as evil personified WHILE ALSO having parts that shows he genuinely loves and cares abt someone... idk. it feels like they wanted to make that more prominent to add more depth to his character but they just didn't

SO REALLY thats my only critique, i wish we had seen more of him interacting with the other characters rather than nameless npcs. i'm kind of content with him being a mostly blank slate, though -- it means i can do a lot more work on him :3

Old Master, New Padawan

⚔️ For @tacticalvalor 's Obi-Wan Kenobi! ⚔️

The collapse of the Jedi under Order 66 had been a tragedy. A loss so great, there were few in modern times who could ever recall such a widespread sudden systematic extermination of life such as this. And that was exactly what the Order had been. A heinous strategic move set up decades ago by the evil mastermind Darth Sidious to suddenly, cleanly, and violently destroy the galaxy's force of protectors in one, simple wave. With the death of the Jedi, so came the death of democracy, the demise of the Republic. And the rise of the Empire.

Those who had survived both the initial extermination and the following hunts went into hiding. Few were brave enough to seek them out, especially as the Empire began utilizing the Inquisitors as a means of flushing out the few that remained. But it was this risk that reunited Obi-Wan Kenobi and Aurelia Pta'hoa on Tatooine. The former had spent his time keeping Padme and her twins safe from the ever-present threat that was Anakin Darth Vader - and he had found company in another who was also in hiding after the Empire's destruction of her home world.

Their reunion was bittersweet. They wished it could be under better circumstance, but at the end of the long Tatooine day, they were just happy to see each other alive. Obi-Wan was especially happy to see that Aurelia's Padawan had also survived. She was a strong-willed, spirited young thing. Resilient even in the face of tragedy. (According to Aurelia, this wasn't the first time she'd been at the center of an attempted mass genocide.) And though he'd never had the chance to properly meet and bond with her, he hoped that they would be able to now and make the best of their terrible situation.

Unfortunately, it seemed the Kenobi and her would get along a little too well. For they shared a little more of a taste for chaos than perhaps some would like.

📝 Communication! Now I ain't no role model here, I have... Issues, and I can be very socially awkward. But I recognize my mistakes, I know I have flaws when it comes to communication, I'm trying to be better, and I think that's really what matters. Trying. At the end of the day, our best, is not only all we can give, but it is enough.

Ask your mutuals a question if you have a doubt about something, or if there's something in a thread that you need to bring up before it happens. Tell your mutual when you need to drop a thread. Say hello, be silly, have fun! Listen to your mutuals when they say they don't want to do something. Listen to your mutuals gush about their muse even if it's a muse you're not interested in or if it's about a muse from a fandom you don't understand or know nothing about. You have no idea just how much it means to that person for someone to listen to them, and not just listen, but be enthusiastic about it!

🔍 I'll be honest, I am or I try to be extremely easy going. This means I will give a chance to someone who doesn't have the things I typically look for in a blog prior to following. If they have the most basic thing, such as a fandom listed or a muse name with the most basic rundown ever... I may follow and give them a chance, see where it goes. Who knows, they may turn out to be a really amazing writing partner!

But in general? I look for availability. A link to rules, the muse or a list of muses so I can quickly check over to see if there are muses I could picture my own muses interacting with. I look for ocs! Because I love ocs, I want to see them, I want to take a peek into that mun's creativity. I look for the mun's activity, how active they are on the dash, meaning do they actually write or do they just have endless pages of ooc content. I also look for any indication that the mun is negative. I don't want to follow someone who appears to constantly start drama or insert themselves into drama. I don't want to get looped up in that. Lastly... An accessible link to the person's reblogged memes. It's a pain to send memes when you have to scroll through the entire blog looking for the memes vs just having a tag that tracks all of the memes.

While Kratos is coming to terms with letting the past go, Beth is very much at the stage of accepting what she's done and what the past is. She's still in denial about what she did being wrong and there was no valid reason for it. She killed a lot of Gods, demi-Gods, followers, friends. Herself, a few times, but that's a story for a whole other thing

She's feeling something akin to regret, and WILL preach to Atreus that rage isn't what should be leading you, that it's not the smartest choice against people like Thor. But really that's hypocrisy, because rage did lead her, still leads her, and she still feels a lot of satisfaction in it. Despite her best efforts to slow down or stop, it always creeps back. It's been a long, long time. She's definitely feeling it.

So yeah. It IS an aspect of Kratos facing his past. He probably knows her (she was an Egypt, and committed a lot of sins long after he passed through), or knows OF her, before they unite during/before Ragnarok.

She's a God Of War. A God Of Death and Destruction, really. She's committed atrocities. And yeah, she came to midguard during her attempt to run away from what she did, but she's also so interested in redemption at the same time. She's just not sure she's worthy until she can accept the darker truths at play.
