okay so is strq in miraculous au i need to know.... for research purposes. i think you mentioned tai and summer with a bakery but i dont remember lol
yes!!!! tai + summer own and run the bakery the girls live in. raven was away for most of their childhood travelling with qrow bc she realized after yang was born she really wasnt ready for the level of commitment necessary for raising a child and being married. qrow settled down with james around ruby's 10th birthday and yang's 12th birthday! raven came back ocassionally through their childhoods, but came back for good a couple years after qrow did
also raven owns a motorcycle!! she has scheduled "bonding days" with ruby and yang (one-on-one usually) to make up for the years she missed. she also bought yang a really old beat up bike for her birthday and they work on it together! raven also actually taught ruby how to sew!
qrow + james arent around often, but theyre currently getting ready to adopt! (whether thats gonna be an oc or oscar is yet to be seen fhenfnemdl) ruby and yang are very excited to be getting a cousin
summer + raven are married, but summer also refers to tai as her husband because in every sense besides legally, they ARE married. lots of the stuff they put into their pastries are also grown by tai!
summer's wedding band is actually one of those that goes with an engagment ring. like they slot together? but instead of putting her engagment ring from raven on top of it, she puts a ring from tai :") (she wears her engagement ring on a necklace)

Idk if this is just me but I like the idea of SummerxQrow than Summer and Tai because that means Summer had her own romance from the start and didn't pine after Tai while he was with Raven. Also if the majority of the fanbase is so comfortable with bees and whiterose(every girl has their own from the jump) why not QrowxSummer/ TaixRaven? Miles n Kerry missed an opportunity with that(with alot of things actually) sticking to the Tai is Ruby's father route imo
eh, i will always be a huge qrow/summer stan but i don’t agree with or like the qrow is ruby’s dad theory, mostly on account of i can’t see how or why it would even make sense for summer to make a baby with qrow and then lie about it and proceed to get with taiyang (like… i think yang probably would have noticed if her adoptive mom and dad were not actually romantically involved, so that implies a real and credible relationship happened there)?
i know a lot of people don’t like tai/summer because they think it’s sketchy of summer to conceive a kid with tai presumably under a year and a half after raven left, but how is it not just as sketchy to have a kid with qrow and then immediately get with taiyang? and why lie about it? i know the popular theory is qrow decided that he’s bad luck and shouldn’t be around them, but. 1) there’s no reason that automatically would lead to “okay, so summer should get with taiyang” like, they could easily have just both been single parents living together? they didn’t try to tell yang that summer was her mom, why tell ruby that taiyang was her dad if he wasn’t? (you could argue tai only told yang about raven once summer died to explain why it hurt so much—another thing that specifically is tied to summer and tai being genuinely romantically involved—but why come clean about one lie and not the other? why only explain like a third of the story and not the full reasoning for the lie), and 2) qrow is still in ruby’s life? “they lied to protect her because qrow didn’t want her close to him because of his semblance” can’t make sense if qrow then is still one of the biggest parts of her life, and he clearly is.
i also feel like it was founded on sketchy logic. “Well, they dress similarly and have similar fighting styles, and they both have dark hair i guess, and they care about each other, so he must be her dad” like?? do people know how mentor/mentee relationships work? how families work? lots of people look up to and intentionally emulate their favorite family members, and especially their mentors. this stuff is in no way genetic, it all just logically follows given that he was her teacher.
the way i always preferred it, and i talked about it on my old strq blog strqmom a lot, is more of an unrequited thing. or, not necessarily that it was unrequited, but that neither qrow nor summer had any idea it was requited. like, summer was so thoroughly disinterested in romance (the same way ruby is tbh) that she wouldn’t have recognized qrow’s crush on her if someone stapled an essay about it to her face, and she certainly wouldn’t have recognized her own feelings because she wasn’t used to caring about romance. like “i feel this way about him because he’s my best friend and i’m closer to him than i’ve been to anyone else”, and it would never have occurred to her to look into that further. and then after raven left, tai needed help with yang, and summer was more than willing to be there for him, and so she started spending more and more time with taiyang, and in turn getting closer, and bonding over their shared love of yang. and the closer they got, the more her feelings for tai resembled her feelings for qrow, but since she assumed her feelings for qrow were just very very strong platonic feelings, she assumed the same of her feelings for taiyang.
until taiyang acted on his feelings for her in a way that was unambiguous, and she suddenly had to confront that maybe that made her pretty happy because maybe her feelings weren’t actually all that platonic. which, retroactively, makes her understand that her feelings for qrow weren’t all that platonic, either, but it’s a little late to realize that when she has no idea qrow has liked her this whole time, too, but she does know that she and taiyang have something mutual going on. so she and taiyang pursue a relationship, and they have ruby, and the whole tragedy of summer and qrow having been just a few misunderstandings and a slightly different timing off from being together hurts a little less because ruby is worth it tbh.
and people act like this is like, despicable or questionable because it makes summer just a rebound or someone pining after tai and waiting to pounce, but like, again, i’m talking about those feelings developing in a slow cooker over the year after raven left. a year is more than enough time to come to terms with being left, especially if you have a support system. a year is a reasonable amount of time to get closer to someone and develop feelings you didn’t have before. how is a year not slowburn enough for people? how is ending up in a relationship with summer after a full year, and having a child together (after knowing each other and being close for at LEAST five years) after a year and 3-4+ months not slow burn enough for people?
i love qrow and summer enough that i literally coined the popular flown north ship name for them and ran a blog where tons of people came to talk headcanons with me for a while, i adore them with my whole heart, i just think taiyang genuinely being ruby’s father really does make more sense.
sorry to disagree with you! your take is valid, it’s just not really to my taste and i wouldn’t have taken it as good or enjoyable writing if it had been canon tbh. i’m a Bad Timing Tragic Almost-Could-Have-Been Flown North stan all the way.
