#teen nanami listened to teenagers and thought about gojo

So i need to get something out of my system and off of my chest real quick. This post will contain heavy spoilers and is basically my take as to why Satoru Gojo is a very tragic character which isn't really shown in the manga so let's go. (Please ignore spelling mistakes I am basically just ranting. Also this is my personal opinion and opinions may differ but that's alrighty)

Seeing the latest leaks made my cry nearly hysterically and I think a lot of people can understand me here. The reason why is more than just Gojos death. Satoru Gojo was a really beloved character of mine. Not my all time fav but I think I valued the impact he had on the people around him.

Gojo despite often being shown as somewhat ignorant or above everybody else is a truly caring person.

- he cared about riko enough to ignore the order he was given to bring her to tengen what ever it would cost. He would have abandoned that damn mission, if she told him that she wanted to stay alive!

- he cares about Suguru Geto so much that my chest hurts every damn time these two are shown

- he looks after his students! And despite his teaching methods being a little extreme sometimes he knows what they can truly take on.

- he cares about is fellow sorcerers like nanami or yaga.

Just to name some examples. And exactly the people from his teenage years were all shown in his "after life" scene. This shows how much the time with them affected him. And even tho Yaga was with him for a longer time, yaga was drawn in his younger years style. Same goes for nanami

Gojo is basically stuck in this TWO year timespan where he got to know Geto, shoko, yaga, nanami, haibara and even riko and her friend. And you know why? Because this was the only time in his life where he could truly be a teenager, a childe, just satoru!

I imagine that his upbringing was pretty cold and structured. Thanks to the fact that former six eyes user were killed you can understand that they tried to protect gojo at all cost but listen! This kid grew up so damn lonely. Then he finally meets other people, gets friends and even finds a person in Suguru that is strong enough to understand him! everything goes south!

Suguru Geto is Gojos save space. He doesn't need to protect Geto all the time, to play his assigned role as "the strongest". If Satoru and Suguru were together he was just a normal teen, not the god damn "chosen one".

The moment Geto breaks away from him his world shrinks back to what it was from the beginning. He tries to find fulfillment in teaching and protecting his students so that they can have a normal life (like he said in jjk0). He doesn't want them to grow strong but lonely because he himself knows how its like.

In the latest chapter he said it himself how strength makes you lonely. And its true because people assume that you can look after yourself. You don't need friends who have your back but him wishing that Geto would have been there to pat his back just kills me. It shows how deep his feeling for geto were and how highly he thought of him as his "best friend". This man was nearly thirty and had maybe two happy years in his life! It breaks my heart.

He was just a teenager when he had to witness a girl he was supposed to protect, being killed, his friend dying, Geto leaving him and him failing at a mission he was not supposed to fail at.

Gojo Satoru is a man with depth that is not always shown, a man that despite the loneliness he felt tried to change the world for his students and a man risking it all just for them. Just for them to have a small chance to be happy. A chance that neither he nor his soulmate Suguru Geto ever head.

Him not being able to achive this goal (as of now, a girl can dream) makes him truly tragic. Him always trying to do the right thing for the people he cared about and in the end still failing makes him tragic.

And him still being lonely despite so many people around him who look up to him and love him makes him tragic.

Satoru Gojo was truly an amazing character. You will be missed and you deserve the world.

I will go back and cry myself to sleep now.
