ok, im not rly involved in this discourse. however! people were asking for a list of specific things you can be aware of to make sure you’re not generally perpetuating bad shit when you make/consume mlm content. i asked around and got feedback/suggestions, and so here is that list! 

- anything where the trans/not white/etc person is the Most sexualized is a no - generally if mlm content is all about sex it feels. gross. do things (have them tell a joke! boom) to establish theyre still people and not objects. regardless of intent, it reads as really disrespectful - acknowledge that more than just you, including mlm, are going to see your content if its posted on a public place. thats just, what happens - young mlm or mlm in general are looking for Relatable content that they can resonate with, and if all thats out there is objectifying etc, that’s what theyll internalize. - above all, respect people and accept criticism! its true that you cant get it right all the time, but fighting gay boys who have told you that your content can be harmful isnt a good look - and finally, you cant talk over mlm about mlm issues, even if youre also lgbt, because mlm specifically are the ones it affects. you can talk about them of course but mlm always have more say. just stay aware, yknow? 

honestly, the best you can do is just listen to people and analyze your own actions! there isnt always a super clear line, but making sure you listen to critique (though im sorry if some of it has been less than stellar) is the Most important and helpful thing you can do!
