Things We Never Got Over by Lucy Score Rating: ⭐️⭐️.5 A cold icy day that ended with a blankie and a book ☕️📖 Overall this book was okay. It was very predictable in terms of plot. The writing was very wattpad that at one point I thought I had read the book already 😅 it felt rushed towards the end and many plot holes that left me scratching my head. Now will I read the second one, probably since I want to see what happens with Nash and Lina. But when are we getting Lucian and Sloane is the real question?! #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #romancebooks #romancebookaddict #thingswenevergotover #lucyscoreauthor #enemiestolovers #knockemoutseries #booktok #coldweatheractivities #coldweatherreads https://www.instagram.com/p/CoGYFOKriYU/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Things We Never Got Over by Lucy Score [Summary, Review, and FAQs] |Reviewmillions
"Things we never got over" is up on the trend whenever I see any post about books it is about "Things we never got over" so I decided to give a summary of the book that doesn't contain spoilers and my honest review.
This piece of article will contain "Things we never got over" summary, review, author opinion, conclusion, and FAQs.
Things We Never Got Over Summary
As the book starts we are thrown into the story with no introduction to the characters. The story starts when a 36-year-old lady Niomi (main character) ran away from her ceremony to help her twin sister Tina. Tina calls her sister to a very small town named Knockemover, yes like literally "knock-em-over".
Tumblr media
Tina calls her to a cafe in that small town. When she arrives over there she was not welcomed because of the attitude of her sister in that town. Tina was the opposite of her sister Niomi, she was a rebel and a girl that you can say is selfish. And in that cafe, Niomi meets a guy  Knox ( main character).
The first impression of Niomi was not good in front of Knox, as Knox thought that Niomi was Tina because they both were twins. They both had a horrible introduction, but once when Niomi showed her ID they were shocked that Tina really has a twin sister.
Tumblr media
And after telling everyone about herself she goes out to see her car, but it was gone. And then she realized that Tina just scammed her and stolen her car. All of a sudden now Niomi has nothing she is in a small town where she doesn't know anyone, she doesn't have money her life has just turned over.
And in the middle of that, she finds out that Tina has an 11-year-old daughter that Niomi has no clue about it. Niomi is not the kind of girl who can leave her niece like her sister. And this is the time when Knox decides to help her. Knox has seen that Tina was not a good mother for the 11-year-old. But his attitude is grumpy.....

Honest Review
Now is the time for my honest review. According to me the book "Things we never got over" is thick and it takes time to read. There are a lot of places where you will find that this book has a lot of scenes that can be removed.
This book is definitely not a quick read. I will not suggest this book to everyone because a lot of people don't like a book with a single mother struggling. This book has a romance to it but it depends on the person and how they see this situation.
Authors Opinion
Lucy Store ( the author) started writing this book a few days before three of her closest friends' husbands passed away. She was in shock that three of her friends are now widows in their forties.
She had no idea what is book is all about even when she was halfway through, but once she finished it she got it.
" This book is about the bravery it takes for us to love someone when we all know how every love story ends. It's about choosing love over fear again and again. It is about showing up and being brave even when we know it is going to hurt like hell"
Sometimes she couldn't get past the loss of her friend suffering. She wishes all of us to love wholeheartedly and are there for our relationships so that when we are part our only regret is quantity, not quality.
"That we all understand that the pain of loss is what gives the rest of our life color and flavor and texture"
FAQs
Is this book 18+?
ANS: It is said to be 13+
How many pages does this book contain?
ANS: 567, from starting[includes "about the author" and "chapters"] to tell the novel ends.
CONCLUSION
This book has romance in it but I said it depends on a person from what point of view they are reading it. From my side, it was a sad and depressing novel. Especially after reading the author's opinion.

★ What is a book you discovered through bookstagram or booktok? I discovered @scorelucy’s Things We Never Got Over through both! In fact, the incredible folks over at @read_bloom sent this copy my way recently, and you just know I’m looking forward to the release of Things We Hide From the Light next year! Have you read Things We Never Got Over yet? Description: Bearded, bad-boy barber Knox prefers to live his life the way he takes his coffee: Alone. Unless you count his basset hound, Waylon.

Knox doesn’t tolerate drama, even when it comes in the form of a stranded runaway bride. Naomi wasn’t just running away from her wedding. She was riding to the rescue of her estranged twin to Knockemout, Virginia, a rough-around-the-edges town where disputes are settled the old-fashioned way…with fists and beer. Usually in that order. Too bad for Naomi her evil twin hasn’t changed at all. After helping herself to Naomi’s car and cash, Tina leaves her with something unexpected. The niece Naomi didn’t know she had. Now she’s stuck in town with no car, no job, no plan, and no home with an 11-year-old going on thirty to take care of. There’s a reason Knox doesn’t do complications or high-maintenance women, especially not the romantic ones. But since Naomi’s life imploded right in front of him, the least he can do is help her out of her jam. And just as soon as she stops getting into new trouble he can leave her alone and get back to his peaceful, solitary life. At least, that’s the plan until the trouble turns to real danger. ★ HASHTAGS // #bloombooks #lucyscore #thingswenevergotover #thingswehidefromthelight #bookstagram #bookseverywhere #booknerd #bookishlife #bookaholic #bookhoarder #bookworm #romancereader #RomanceBooks #shelfie #booktok #spicyreads #bookcart #sourcebooks https://www.instagram.com/p/Cl10D5OPLCO/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
