Hortus across verses

*At a bar in the Andromeda Galaxy*

K: *hand on forehead, letting out a sigh* “So let me get this straight. You’re a universal, trans-dimensional, reality hopping _demon_ from the seventh circle of hell?”

H: *huge grin on her face* “Well I like to tell people i’m from the fourth circle, makes me seem like less of a threat…” *nervous laughter*

K: “Okay look, just cause you have red skin and horns doesn’t make you a demon. Demons are just fantasy for humans to tell, nothing but fiction.”

H: “Huh, I guess in a world where humans aren’t the only intelligent species… Demons would be more of just something to tell your kids. Scare em a bit… Hm.”

K: “Okay, look, I don’t have time for this, I have to get to me next-“

H: *spiral in her eyes start spinning*

K: “W-what are you doing..? Stop that. Now.”

H: “No kids, no lover, and all the bounties are currently liquid-based life forms. You don’t have anything to do Krys, now sit.”

K: “Tsk, like you know anything. I have plenty of kids back at home.”

H: “Oh you mean back on… Stellaris? Where your house in the middle of nowhere resides? Which is also where you keep spare hearts for your equipment? That home?”

K: *stunned, and a bit annoyed* “Alright spill, how do you know so much?”

H: “Clairvoyance! Y’know, demon stuff~” *smug look/smirk*

K: *defeated sigh* “Fine, let’s go along with this demon thing you’re so consistent about. What can you do besides _clairvoyance_?”

H: *getting up from the chair* “Glad you asked!” *starts slowly levitating off the ground and gets into a laid back, legs crossed position, floating* “For starters I can fly.” *waves her finger around as her glass levitates up and lands on her(H) head* “Telekinesis…” *thinks for a moment* “Ooh! Deconstruction(*drains the glass of its contents*)and creation(*fills the glass back up*) of course.” *she looks over at K, awaiting a reaction*

K: “You know what, I don’t think there is any possible way that I can counter this. You’re a demon, if not a God.”

H: “Hey, I am certainly not my father.”

K: “Are you implying that God, the divine being that created everything, is your father?

H: “Not implying, he is. Y’know we all got daddy issues, God being the first and worst dad, after all.

K: *taking a few seconds to absorb all this information* *talking a bit frantically, might be going insane.* “Okay, sure! God is your dad and you’re an all powerful demon talking to some bounty hunter! Cool, cooool…”

H: “hey, hey. Take your time this can be a lot of information at onc- DID YOU SAY BOUNTY HUNTER?!” *her eyes light up pink*”

K: “…yes?”

H: “That is so cool!! I’ve always wanted to meet a bounty hunter, so is it all just a bunch of cool fighting or is it mostly waiting around for your target to reveal themselves??”

K: “Waiting around and hoping they don’t give you a hard time, all that _cool_ fighting is what happens when you try and take on targets above your skill, which rarely happen.”

*a moment passes*

H: “do you want your memory erased?

K: “um, no?? Please? Where did this even come from??”

H: “Oh no, no! It’s just because, demon… non-celestial… and I wouldn’t want you going crazy because you met a demon.”

K: “_Would_ I go crazy?!”

H: “Well kinda. See, it’s the same way that a human gets bitten by a vampire and then the town thinks they’re crazy because no one else can see the bite marks. Y’know?”

K: *blank face confusion*

H: *facepalm* “Right, vast universe… vampires aren’t really a thing. Shit.”

K: “What’s a vampire?”

H: “Okay, so think a super human with pale skin, sharp fangs and is immortal.”

K: “Riiiight, immortality is not real.”

H: *sigh* “You’re talkin to an immortal demon.”

K: “…Huh, so I am.”

RWBY V07E06 - A Night Out

Is Ruby finally going to be able to rest and talk to her friends? I mean, everyone is tired but Ruby has been vocally wanting a distraction from everything since episode 4. I'm sure her enthusiasm for her huntress missions is at least partially genuine but there's probably some effort behind maintaining that enthusiasm up as much as she can.

Other than that... I don't know what to expect. This season has so many balls in the air that it could be about any of them, or all of them if it includes election stuff. So, let's do this!

I just can't with this subplot. Not because it's bad, but because it hits way too close to home. I wonder if Robyn is going to lose, even without Watts's hacking. The division that rioting can generate can probably sink any candidate, especially someone like her who's for "the people," leaving boomers Atlassians and even Mantle's petit bourgeois (the ones that _didn't_ riot and think everyone who did are criminals) against her.

Since Weiss's abilities have been so over the top since day one, there's always the question in the back of my mind of how can she get better other than by getting bigger and more powerful summons.

This answers my question.

I like Nora being the one to continuously try and get Ironwood to see how bad the situation is in Mantle. Even if she ends up not being from there, she _has_ lived through bad situations, worse than probably everyone else in their teams, so she _knows_ what the people in Mantle is going through better than anyone.

Whoa, so soon!

The results being so overwhelming positive for Robyn so early in the episode makes me think even more that she's going to lose.

...She's right.

Please stop the plot and just make the entire episode about cute dance offs.

No one wants to spend time with the flirting Bees. First Marrow and now Weiss.

Nora is half the fandom

Oh, I thought Ruby was going to take a harder line about the meaning.

Welp, Ruby escaped the bees just to fall into a lovers' spat.

I know the drones represent everything bad about Ironwood's approach to Mantle but that bow is killing me.

I get you Nora. It's very annoying to see a couple (or even people on the way to being a couple) work _too_ well when you're having issues.

Wow. Sorry Ruby, but please give me all the renora drama and give it to me right now.

Nora and Ren's conflict feels way too real. Surprisingly real considering the tone of the show so far, but it fits really well the idea of having to face reality, that there are no fairy tales. If they get through this it’s not because their relationship is fated to be, but because they had to work at it. I wonder if there's going to be a parallel with the bees, maybe a positive one (they talk instead of shut down/explode like Ren and Nora)?

Damn, they _nailed_ the "every bone in my hand is broken but I need to be _cool_ about it" expression.

Welp, Robyn's results are going down. Which, now that I think about it, falls right into Watts's plans since there's no way everyone who voted for her is going to take it lying down if she loses, causing even more unrest.

And they keep going down.

They are actually exploring the bad side of "the quiet one"?

I'm _very_ worried about those gloves. Is he going to hack Penny and kill everyone to make everyone believe it was ordered by Ironwood?

And with the lights off Tyrian can kill everyone while blaming it on Penny after it's all over. Fuck.

Wait, wait, wait, Tyrian can cut through aura?

oh no. It almost feels like the episode is going to end here but there's two minutes left. I'm pretty sure I don't want to watch those two minutes.

Wow, Marrow's semblance is even more powerful than I thought. Really explains why he's in the Ace Ops even though everyone kinda makes fun of him.

I keep saying it but... oh no.

Same strategy as Yang's fight in the tournament. Ironwood's reputation just died, the discontent and rioting is going to be stronger than ever. The Amity Tower launch and revealing Salem to the kingdom was already going to cause panic, what is he going to do now? Is he going to use the military to try and repress Mantle into submission?

Damn. What a tone change. From the Renora kiss to Penny (and Ironwood) being framed, Mantle getting attacked by Grimm and the villains getting everything they wanted (even though we still don't know why they are doing all this.)

The writers really like hurting cute women to get the point across that things are getting serious, huh? First Penny in V3, now the sheep Faunus. "Just like Beacon" indeed. They even amped up her cuteness this episode. Ugh.

That annoyance aside, I think it won't end like Beacon, mostly because the manipulation only works if Robyn doesn't realize everything is a frame job. Considering the theme of the season is trust, she's probably going to end up taking a leap of faith in trusting either Ruby or Ironwood directly. Or she's going to die and everything is going to go to hell. Even more. I'm crossing every finger I have hoping that Penny won't have to sacrifice herself to prove some stupid point.

Anyway, it was a good episode. Surprising in a way that it wasn't a surprise. Which sounds weird, but I doubt anyone is going to be surprised at everything going to pot, but the way it got there so fast definitely surprised me. I hope Ren and Nora actually talk about their issues, a kiss doesn't solve everything! Even though it was cute. And Ruby never got the chance to decompress. Welp.

The fine line between a fun mom and a nervous mom. Ave would totally be that mom encouraging her kid to go out, taste the world, have fun, go play, life is short! But at the same time, that is her BABY and the world is BIG and they are SMALL and must be PROTECTED. So the two eventually even out to really chill but also protective mom.
