Warm Welcome to my Blog!

Howdy! My name is Bo, or Davey/Dave, depending on what you’re more comfortable with. I go by He/They/It pronouns. I am VERY immature, so my apologies if that offsets some people. I promise you I have my moments where I’m not. I’m also on the autism spectrum, so, yknow, the more you know! (yknow?)

My blog is centered around my favorite game (Stardew Valley), my Ocs (Mostly sdv centered Ocs), and anything else I deem acceptable.

I do not have a “main blog,” as I really only do fandom stuff.

ABOUT MY BLOG!!

As stated before, my blog is heavily centered around Stardew Valley and my OCs. (Also a fanfic I’m working on, but is currently on hiatus.)

I also try my best to be a non-harmful environment, which means I try not to spread hate to those who don’t deserve it. (Ppl who deserve it are listed under “DNI.” I’m not nonviolent, I just follow my own moral code.)

On top of a non-harmful environment, I also try to be inclusive! Any reccommendations on how I could do better, please let me know! (AKA send an ask, or a DM when I open them up to the public.)

As for the technicalities of my blog, I’d like to say I’m generally SFW. Are there hints to NSFW elements? Yes. Do I make content on other sites that isn’t SFW? Yes. Am I aware that my blog is more “mature”? Yes. BUT, I label anything that is slightly suggestive (AKA showy clothes/half naked pictures) as suggestive, or anything NSFW as NSFW. I will not be posting NSFW images, just words if anything.

I like to think I make my “political” beliefs apparent. Political is in quotes because basic human right isn’t really political, but everyone has their own definition. This means I’m not afraid to say I think bigots and TERFs should get their skin melted off. So, yknow, if you’re not comfortable with violent words towards wastes of oxygen, then leave or don’t, it’s not like I can force you.

My blog is very LGBTQ+. Like, supidly LGBT. Like, down a rabbithole of xenogenders and neopronouns cuz I think they’re kinda cool LGBT. I have very few non-LGBT characters that I have created, actually.

This is also an art blog.

As for questions, anyone’s free to ask me a question or two. (as long as it isn’t intrusive to my personal life. I will not accept questions on location/age/looks/etc. I will accept questions about my hobbies, the fandoms I’m in/were in, my headcanons for characters, my ocs, and the likes! Don’t be scared! I love answering questions!)

I will utilize this blog to update when chapters of my fic are posted. I PROMISE to those who read it, that once it’s off its hiatus, it will be better than before. Just bear with me here.

People who hate on other religions. (Poking fun at your own? Ok, sure! Poking fun due to religious trauma, sure I can get that. Being insensitive when there’s no need to be? YeeeOUCH! I myself am an atheist/leaning on agnostic, meaning I don’t really believe in a higher power, but I don’t go out and spread hate on other religious beliefs. If I pick fun at Christianity or Catholicism it’s because I’m picking fun on the toxic side of those beliefs, or the people who overlap previously mentioned categories. I also used to be a Christian/Catholic, which doesn’t FULLY excuse those actions, but if I’m picking fun at how I used to be, then who gives a shit? [honestly, not even sure which one. I just kinda blindly followed what my parents believed, and my mom was a christian, and my dad’s a catholic, so hell if I know what I believed]. I’m cool with any religion as long as you’re cool with me!!)

Zoophiles and Pedos. i forgot to add these in the last installment. oops. zoophile in my eyes counts as anything or anyone whi wants to fuck/be romantically involved with smth generally non-human/beastlike (eg. obviously anthropomorphic animals, dragons, animals obvi, anything that is SO OBVIOUSLY AN ANIMAL. and is SRS ABT IT. is weird as hell ill b real with u.) (and, of course, pedos are MAPS, anykne who is sexually or romantically attracted to people under the age of 18, while the pedo themself is an adult, and any and all loli/shotacon. yall are equally as fuckin weird dude. get a grip. jus not a grip on children.) generally thought these fell under proshippers bcz i literally dont see the difference between proshippers/comshippers and these things. yall are nasty.

Anything listed on the DNI list is grounds for blocking/unfollowing. If ur wondering why we used to be moots or smth like that, then its prolly bcz i considered these labels applicable to you. Ok great glad we understand.

long post lol

back on that posting grind yall 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Anyways, I’ve seen a post or two about Lance as a dad, and like

that’s cute!

Reminded me that I have thought abt him being a dad before. And that I literally have a headcanoned look about how he’d eventually change his GOD AWFUL (affecitonately) hairstyle once he settled down. (i love him, but holy shit his hair’s so hard to draw and for WHAT.)

Originally, i was gonna do a lot of drawings of Lance as a dad, but turns out I got too fixiated on Maverick and his interactions with other people, so oopsie daisy!

First drawing showcases Maverick, Lance, Sam, Bo, and Allan! (Lance, Sam, and Bo going thru a couple of hairstyle changes due to either maturing/realizing that keeping up that look is a pain in the ass)

Lance is referred to as “Mom” or “Old Man.” (Mom being after Bo jokingly told Maverick he could refer to Lance as ‘mom’. Lance does not care that much)

He’s definitely the worrywart parent. Bro reads up on all of the parenting books, and constantly overthinks what maverick does.

Sam is referred to as “daddyio” cuz he thought it was funny at first. He semi-regrets teaching Maverick that behavior.

Same attends ALL of Maverick’s school events if Allan isn’t. He also allows Maverick to do anything he wants (within reason).

Bo’s referred to as dad! This is because Allan, despite knowing Bo played little part in Maverick’s life, would constantly refer to Bo as “your dad” when talking to Maverick.

Speaking of playing little part in Maverick’s life, Bo was hesitant on adopting a kid in the first place. In response to tht anxiety and stress, he kept his distance from the house and the kid. Not really becoming super active until Maverick started school.

He also let Maverick try alcohol ONCE, in order to prevent him from doing it out of curiousity in the future. (It was a tiny sip and Maverick hated it)

Allan’s called papa. Bo constantly makes those “johnny johnny” jokes, to allan’s dismay.

Unlike any of the other dads, Allan actually raises Maverick. Proper punishment (not anything like child abuse, mostly lectures and life lessons. Gentle parenting.) Allan would’ve taught Maverick proper behavior, if it weren’t for the fact that the kid bonded more with Bo (surprisingly.)

Bo: is he gonna stop soon?

I would’ve drawn some with the regular townsfolk, too, but I got lazy. So instead, here’s a written description of how Maverick interacts with other people.

Cain and Jack- They had to get a cabin on the farm, since the main house got too crowded. These two are basically like uncles, cousins, or even older brothers to Maverick! Very close with him, usually end up babysitting him.

Abigail- These two are super close. Maverick calls her “aunt abby,” too. She matches his chaotic energy really well, and she’s typically the one to take him out on mini adventures when she babysits him.

Sebastian- they’re close, but whenever seb babysits they sort of sit in silence. it’s like the one uncle you know, and will come over often, but you two are so difference it makes everything awkward.

Sophia- maverick goes down to the other farms a lot, typically sophia’s or marnie’s (sophia’s more frequently). a lot of the time, she’ll end up giving him freshly picked fruit when it’s harvest season. maverick will sometimes slip up and refer to her as “sister”

Victor and Olivia- oh my god it’s actually insane how close these two are to maverick. Olivia treats him as her own granson, sometimes. Hell, victor even refers to Maverick as his nephew. As much as Bo and Allan discourage spoiling Mav whenever he’s over at their house, Olivia ESPECIALLY can’t help it.

Vincent, Jas, Leo, and Morgan- These four end up hanigng out with maverick more frequently, despite being older than him by a load. (I mean, Maverick’s only about 6-7 in the picture with morgan.) Vincent takes on a joking uncle role, despite maverick considering him more like an older brother if anything. despite the teenagers’ usual hijinks and shenanigans, Maverick’s parents trust them to make the right decisions when he’s around.

As for Maverick’s technical family

Jodi and Kent were OVER THE MOON when they learned Sam had finally settled down to the point of adopting a son. These two love Maverick to DEATH and Jodi treats him like any other grandmother- Fresh cooking and regular perfume-suffocating hugs. Kent, after adjusitng more to the valley, has even started acting like a grandpa with maverick. Taking him out for walks and asking for help on the word searches in the daily paper.

Lance’s parents, unsurprisingly, were also ecstatic to learn he also settled down. I mean absolutely THRILLED. I know we don’t know much about Lance’s parents, but I feel like he’s on good terms with them. So much so where Lance took Maverick to a Castle village festival, once he was old enough (about gradeschool age) and had Camilla’s permission just so his parents could meet their grandchild. Despite Lance’s dad being a cold-as-stone adventurer, even he couldn’t help but shed a tear upon seeing his first-ever (and probably only) grandchild. As for Lance’s mom? Absolutely bawling. Wrapped Maverick in a hug and WOULD NOT let go. Lance had to pry him out of her arms after he realized Maverick was starting to get uncomfortable. Needless to say, Lance’s parents will be expecting more frequent visits (and will be requesting more visits)

Bo had told Rodney about the new arrival, and Rodney was ASTONISHED. Shocked, jaw-dropped, in awe, surprised, almost had a heart attack kind of deal. Never did he see Bo getting with someone and having a kid. They had face timed, and for about 30 minutes, Rodney had got to talk with Maverick before the kid had gotten distracted with something else. There were multiple mentions of how Amelia would’ve been so proud to know she had grandchildren on not only her actual son’s side, but also her adoptive son’s side. The rest of the barabell family were shocked, too, but Bo’s cousins were more impressed. Nadia and Lux had gone out of their way to visit just so they could check it out for themselves. (They had a blast talking with Maverick, who would not shut up about everything he knows, and all of the funny stories he had to share about adventurers)

There’s one more “technical” family member that had heard the news about Maverick, and it was the scientist from Northmill that Bo had considered his dad. Their communication was on and off, but they still met up a couple of times each year to talk. As soon as Misty, the scientist in question, had learned about Maverick, he was really happy. A reaction such as “That’s amazing, Bo! Would you mind if I referred to him as my grandson? I’m not sure how close we are,” etc, etc. As soon as Maverick was brought to actually meet Misty, the two clicked really fast. The old loon had gone on and on about the stars and space while Maverick CONSISTENTLY talked about race cars. To Bo, it sounded like two asylum patients talking to each other, but they looked happy, so who’s he to judge?

yay! maverick’s such a fun lil guy. i’ve had this dude running circles in my head for a while now. i hope you guys like him as much as i do.
