Oliver Collab 2021 Applications

This year we are celebrating Oliver with the theme "memories”! For example, it can be the first Oliver song you listened to, or also the one you’re most fond of! Please also think of a short birthday message to caption your piece, if you wish.

Your final submission will be enclosed in a frame by the moderators.

Applications will be open for two weeks

If you have not received a response within three days, please contact us!

This year, traditional art will be allowed on the requirement it is properly scanned and fully rendered! If you choose to go with traditional please try to include in the form examples of your traditional art and the scanning method available to you! It is required to crop your piece yourself before sending it in.

Please do NOT apply if you think there’s a chance you won’t be able to make the deadline.

On the off chance you will not be able to finish, please let us know at least a week before the deadline. There will be checkpoints to look at progress and communicate with people about any possible problems whether it’s a question or an unexpected incident that may hinder completion of their submission. Please understand that failure to respond to checkpoints within a week will lead to us removing you from the collaboration.

We will exclusively take applications Via Google form!

Please do NOT draw for this collaboration until you have received a confirmation for both your acceptance and your chosen concept.

When you are accepted, please do not post WIPs or the picture itself anywhere before Oliver’s birthday. After the collaboration picture has been uploaded, however, feel free to post your submission and if you’d like for us to reblog/retweet it, tag it as #olivercollab2021.

All submissions must be digitally drawn or professionally scanned.

All art presented in submissions must be 100% drawn by you.

Please refrain from applying if you cannot see yourself being able to complete the collab before December 17th.

We will send email reminders every two weeks to check up on everyone so no one forgets! (The difference between reminders and checkpoints is that you aren’t required to respond to reminders unless there’s an issue you’d like to address while with checkpoints, responses within a week are mandatory.)

Submission Rules:

Once you are accepted, I will link you to a spreadsheet with a list of songs you can draw for. You are not limited to this list and this is mainly to provide you with an idea of what songs have already been taken and what is out there. Please tell us what song or idea you wish to sign up for and once you have received confirmation that I have added both you and your song to the list, then you may start working on your piece anytime.

You are allowed to use designs that are not in a song or not linked to a song on the requirement it still bears resemblance to Oliver though it is requested to give an example of the design if you choose this route!

If you wish to draw for a song not already on the list, please provide us both the title and the url. If I approve of it, I will email you back once I have added it and then you may begin working.

Once you have selected a song, please draw a picture that represents the song well with a minimum of a simple background. If there are other characters, you’re free to add them in, however, Oliver must be the main focus.

Your final submission must be in the size you chose in the application form. If unable, please contact a moderator. Keep in mind that your final submission will be enclosed in a frame by the moderators. The theme of this collab is “Memories”.

Half-bodies, full-bodies, and headshots are all acceptable.

When you have completed your submission, email us your final product at [email protected] and I will send you a confirmation message back. If I do not respond in 48 hours, message us on twitter.

Checkpoints:

November 14th—Have some kind of concept for your piece (extremely rough sketching, brainstorming, etc)

December 9th—Be close to finishing or have significant progress on your piece.

The deadline is December 17th. Any extensions must be requested the week before, or else we will drop you from the collab.

Notes:

Please refrain from drawing sexual or suggestive drawings or extreme gore (Feel free to check with a mod with prior warning). Aside from that, as long as he can still be recognized as Oliver and doesn’t include any sort of hate speech, feel free to take artistic liberty!
