Also love your criticism on swifties. I've been in several fandoms, even ones that aren't for singers and the same thing always happens (this sorta of blind support in which stans believe everyone is out to get their fave and no other person gets hate ever). I'm still not over some of the things that have been said in the past, or like when something happens to Taylor it needs to get fixed (even if that's something that has been happening for a long time to women that have 0 resources but who cares about those when the queen is suffering)

I do understand the reason fans of celebrities do this, but yeah, it can definitely get….extreme—to put it nicely—which is why I don’t really hang out in swiftie spaces despite having been a swiftie for the majority of my life. I understand why some of them are “defensive” over her, but I just personally don’t see the point and it makes me uncomfortable. It’s extremely invasive to me!

And yeah, many do have this weird double standard for Taylor. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad her experiences with misogyny make others more aware! But you are right that people sometimes look at it JUST in view of being about her and don’t care when it’s directed at other women. Just look at the violent misogyny and harassment people spew at Travis Kelce’s ex girlfriend and that coworker of Joe Alwyn who was on his ig (that they bullied into deactivating, if I remember right) for having the audacity to…exist and be slightly tied to these men. You’d think they’d be against it considering what Taylor has gone through, but they don’t because it doesn’t affect her. It’s…hm. Weird and questionable!
