I agree from the first listen I was like TTPD is sooo much better than Midnights.

from the first listen I was like ‘I’m a bit disappointed it kinda all sounds the same’ which is why I never trust my first opinion when it comes to taylor swift albums these days. im often soo discombobulated bc nowadays she makes her albums very cohesive, I often feel like it all sounds similar. but then I listened to it a second time, a third time and so on and now I’m so in love. I feel like the people who hate it simply haven’t listened to it as much as they need to. but yes I agree it’s definitely better than midnights, it’s a lot more adult and directed towards us fans who are a bit more mature, there are lyrics that are still a bit cringe but not like some of the midnights lyrics. it just feels more adult overall and more folklore/evermore vibes, it just feels like it’s for the fans. idk if it makes sense but it doesn’t feel like it’s for reviewers for once, she released a 31 song record that just spills her guts out, she shared herself with us and it’s so important and relatable <3
