i’m not at the level of bus-distrust that y’all are but i do have quite a few horror stories from taking the public bus to school every day for four years, my personal favorite of which being the time in sixth grade when we had just dropped off all the highschoolers, then got maybe another forty yards down the street before stopping again. the driver got off without anyone really noticing, until one of the eighth graders looked out the window to see that the driver had somehow backed into a lady crossing the street. we all ran the last half mile to school and everyone got marked late because nobody in the office believed us. the driver still works the same route and to my knowledge faced no consequences.
