Familial Problem Indicators in Astrology

Hey, someone asked me to make a post about parental issue indicators in Astrology but I also just wanna make this about general family issues as well. this is my take, just of what I've experienced myself, seen, and heard. I will try to explain each as I go.

Scorpio/Capricorn/Aries/Aquarius on the 4th house cusp can indicate just feeling generally uncomfortable around your family, no matter how hard you try there just might be a disconnect between you and them. This is because Scorpio and Aries are ruled by Mars, the planet of aggression; Capricorn and Aquarius are ruled by Saturn, the planet of restrictions. (Bonus points if you have Saturn, Mars, or Pluto in the 4th house)

Chiron in the 4th house (or Cancer degrees, so 4, 16, 28 but obviously less crucial because it is just a degree) can indicate that your family is your wound, your family might be severely fucked up, either because of crime, drugs, mental illness, or just general trauma.

Moon in the 8th house can indicate a very controlling mother, and you could also learn negative behaviors from her.

Now we all probably know that Cancer, Scorpio, and Capricorn moons can have certain complications with their mother but Aquarius Moons are probably just as complicated because Saturn also rules Aquarius. Aquarius moons can have very cold and calculating mothers like they don't really get that nurturing type of mother, she's just not very comforting. But if you have an aquarium moon, you probably get where I am going with this.

An afflicted Sun can cause problems with the father. For example, Sun square Mars father (or father-figures) can be very violent, and very temperamental. Or, Sun square Jupiter father can have a very nice disposition outside of the house but be very controlling behind closed doors.

An afflicted Moon can cause complications with the mother as well, any planet afflicting it really. Hard contacts with Pluto can cause the mother to be controlling and intense or even mentally ill. But like severely mentally ill that it bleeds over or affects the child. Hard aspects to Uranus can make the mother very unpredictable and not very nurturing.

Moon opposite Saturn can cause the mother to be very forgiving and loving towards the father, while the father is abusive and flighty, and cold towards the mother. It is an extremely painful aspect for both the mother and child. Look to the signs of how the dynamic might play out further.

Generally an influx of 4th house placements can cause parental and family problems depending on how they are aspoected and placed but it also just means that family and emotions are a priority in your life, or a big theme. So with so much of that energy, there is bound to be problems.

The Colours of the Moon

The apparent colour of the moon is dependant more on our atmosphere than the real colour of the moon, sun set produces more reddish moons, air pollution from dust or smoke again can alter it's colour.

Away from the Earth's atmosphere the moon appears as above, with reflective light from our Sun and even Earth.
