Ella Purnell said Toy Story would be the movie she’d take w/her in a vault which reminded me that the Danse Buzz Lightyear mod exists 😂

Is it weird that I’d love to see all the various children of Dracula from media over the years in a sitcom as actual siblings? XD

To me, that stood out as the Ghoul having gotten so accustomed to the injustice of the Wasteland. Like, especially since Mr President is apparently an old acquaintance of his, so it was like the Ghoul knew from ample previous experience that he wouldn’t be reasonable or fair or trusting enough to hear out any kind of excuse. However! I do like the sound of Lucy finding out about it and that developing their relationship.
Like they bump into that government again and the President is like, “You’re still wanted for what you did to that Super Duper Mart btw that was a pretty serious thing y’know,” and Lucy is like wait, you mean the Super Duper Mart that I—?? but Coop won’t let her just walk onto their bounty board like that. And maybe after they get out of that situation, she keeps glancing at him like she sees him in a slightly new light and he staunchly keeps his eyes ahead while assuring himself that it was purely cold, objective logic to not waste time trying to convince a Wastelander of his innocence, obviously.
Or. Idk lol.
Dipping my toe into fandom talk for a moment…
but I feel like I haven’t seen anyone really talking about the fact that the ghoul took all of the blame for the super duper mart onto himself.
He never once let on that there had been anyone else involved and it would have been so, so easy for him to shift the little dumbass “governmint” attention to her. Obviously she’d just saved his sanity so it would have been a dick move, but a totally valid one from a pure self interest perspective. It also was during that whole conversation that he makes the decision to sew her finger on.
Not sure where I’m going with this but I can’t stop thinking about the fact that he basically ensured that no one else knew she had been there. It struck me as significant.

Ngl, the truest Enemies to Lovers depiction is CX404 attacking the Ghoul to protect Wilzig, the Ghoul maiming her to survive, and then after the fight, the Ghoul being impressed that CX404 is hanging on, healing her, and letting her tag along with him from then on.

one of the best tips for Real Life that I’ve ever picked up is to always highball your estimate whenever someone asks you “when can you get this done by” by about 25% (if you can get away with it). that way, if it ends up being harder than you thought, youve got extra time to figure things out and if you were right about how much time it takes then you get to look like an absolute genius instead of just a simply competent person.
what you may not have realized is that I learned this crucial piece of life advice from an episode of Star Trek where Scotty is telling Geordi that whenever he told Kirk something on the Enterprise was at full capacity, it was always only ever a notch or so below full capacity so that Scotty looked like the god of all engineers when he was able to magically hack the warp drive to run a little beyond what he’d told everyone else was “full capacity” and honestly that one throwaway gag from Star Trek has changed my life.

hand-shaped bruises. bracelets of finger imprints on wrists, branded on shoulders or throats or hips. the lack of plausible deniability. the way anyone seeing it can tell something Happened. someone who cares sees it and there’s no hiding the ongoing whump anymore. the photographs memorializing it. the moment a sleeve slips and a friend or coworker or roommate asks “whoa, what happened?”
just. the obviousness of it. the distinctness of it. hand-shaped bruises my beloved.

"It's just a TV show" maybe to you. I absorbed it into my soul though.
