If the Player is a child, the Guide (and his partner if he has one) typically adopts them or serves as a guardian figure in their life. He's surprisingly good at it despite living alone in the woods for as long as he can remember!

Hey it's me the guy who always makes headcanons for those unique enemy variants. Anyways I have a new headcanon to bestow upon ye mighty crowd of gay people in my phone: Building on to my large ominous pile of characterization headcanons for these fuckers, The Bride is a complete prankster. Like, on Blood Moons she'll sneak into houses and put ice cubes on the ground or she'll bang on a door really obnoxiously loud and run away before someone opens it. Nobody notices that this asshole is the one doing all this shit because she's just some rando enemy that just happens to be sliiiiightly more intelligent to all of the NPCs and she knows this. She thinks it's hilarious.

Pushing the limits of sfw for dis one
The player can regrow limbs or body parts n stuff.
For example, in game during a boss fight you can just drink a healing potion and you return back to full health, i like to imagine the player drinking a healing potion and just immediately regrowing and arm or a leg back
Imagine the npc’s first reaction to this..

After the player defeats the wall of flesh, and come back to a pile of ashes where the guide was, they get really sad and just pace around the village absently, randomly sorting chests or rearranging furniture until the guide comes back.

Oh yeah I gave the unique enemy variants queerness. For some reason. Look upon my queer dead people headcanons.
Tim - Transmasc Agender Asexual Panromatic
Rune Wizard - Transmasc Asexual Panromantic
The Groom - Transmasc Bigender Asexual Biromantic
The Bride - Transfem [but also her gender is incomprehensible] Asexual Panromantic
Dr. Bones - Transmasc Gay
Eyezor - Nonbinary and somewhere on the Aroace spectrum
Bonus, the Nymph's gender is fuckall and they're some kind of lesbian creature.

The Lunatic Cultist and the other cultists are actually skeletons behind the robes and gloves. It fits considering the nature of the dungeon.

possessed armor are corruption clones of a single corrupted terrarian, but the corruption isnt that good at it, so the clones are poorly made, failing to recreate the destructive capabilities of a corrupt terrarian

If the player is a werewolf, the arms dealer will automatically despise the player, he has a very strong hatred of werecreatures and would have gladly killed the player off if he didn't think the rest of the npcs wouldn't immediately turn against him or didn't know how powerful the player is in the first place.

When Werewolf!Players and the zoologist are transformed, the stylist loves trying to brush or style their fur.
Although her main focus is humans rather than animals, so she isn't like, some werewolf style expert but it's all just a bit of fun.
The zoologist is a bit of a challenge though since she doesn't have much control over her transformations and is still pretty much a wild animal during them. (As for the player, that depends on the player themselves)

The dungeon was once the last bastion of humans left on the planet after the Moon Lord took over, and he struck a deal with them. If they worshipped him as their new god, they would get to live, and those who didn’t became the angry bones. The Lunatic Cultist was the first, and most devout, person to worship the Moon Lord, and became the Cult Leader. His mask is made out of metal forged from the moon itself. Some managed to escape the dungeon before being turned, and they built the cabins underground and later became the rebels fighting against the Moon Lord’s rule.

The Player can literally kill gods but ends up getting half-digested by blue and green slimes at least twice a week. Both the Nurse and the Guide are appalled (but the Guide also thinks it's kind of funny.)

the clothier and the guide dont get along great, but do talk at times, since they have quite a bit in common. though the guide is worried about what happens to the player after they kill him, but the clothier sees skeletron as enough of a test for them.

related to your post of the player/terrarian being completely powerhungry: they have a character arc where they go from nice and caring to chaotic and has a general disregard for life.
Start: cold and sarcastic, but cares for the NPCs, always trying to help them and give them the best lives they can have in this messed up world.
post WoF: distant and short with most NPCs, mainly talking to them for trading. Has gone from defending to their village from oncoming threats to actively seeking new monsters/challenges, almost enjoying the thrill of the fight.
post moon lord: maniacal jackass with a god complex. Has no regard for life and is almost completely indifferent to the spreading corruption/crimson.

The Player loves cosplaying characters from media. The *moment* they got the Breaker Blade they tried cosplaying Cloud. What a doofus.

I wholeheartedly believe the torch God is the ultimate God of terraria and the sun and just likes to watch as the player fights and stuff. The torch God Dislikes gross misuse of torchs tho

The world of terraria is basically a fantasy mid-evil setting but fast forward to the modern age (wizard towers integrated into cities, police using a combination of spells, firearms and having tactics revolving around them, etc.). Where we are in game is an uninhabited island that the terrarian turned into a functioning rudimentary village
