Tidings! I am the tetress and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I'm 32, a huge nerd, and currently just trying to survive this hell of a decade.聽 This is my personal tumblr for random reblogs, cosplay sharing and incoherent musings.
In our house we call them "low executive function meals" because it is more about our ability/spoons to cook and feed ourselves rather than any perceived moral value (that doesn't actually exist) of the food.
Both of us have a history of disordered eating and body issues, so this was a deliberate choice in trying to strip away all those ingrained hang ups around food.
Food is only bad if it makes you sick (undercooked/food allergies/etc), or you personally don't like the taste or texture. That's it. You need sustenance to live. Keep living.
I've decided to use the term "convenience food" instead of "junk food."
I think it's more honest, and less loaded. It's all food, some of it is more appropriate when you don't have the spoons left for food prep. It takes slightly more energy to peel a banana than to open a bag of chips.
We try to save the convenience food for days when we need something easy, so eat a banana.

For the seventh year in a row, my friends and I are doing Extra-Life: a 24 hr gaming marathon to benefit Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
Join us tomorrow, Dec 16th at 10 am CST to watch us play a bunch of silly games and hopefully raise some decent money for our local hospital. Deets here: https://www.extra-life.org/participant/darksign
I've been taking swing lessons and wearing a different skirt of yours for each class and it has been amazing how swirly and swooshy they are! Minis and midis! (though I always wear shorts underneath so as not to flash everybody. lol.)
I get compliments every week and my instructor is totally smitten with your store.
are y鈥檃ll ready for some more cute photos and videos soon hehehe
The Outbursts of Everett True was a comic strip that ran in papers from 1905 to 1927, wherein the aforementioned Everett True regularly beat the everliving shit out of rude people as a warning to anyone else who might consider being rude. Men have not only been taking up too much room on public transport for about as long as public transport has existed, but the people around them have been irritated about it for at least a hundred years. The next time someone tries to claim that manspreading is a false phenomenon, please direct them to this strip so that Everett True can correct their misconceptions with an umbrella upside the head.
Oh wow. This is super old! But thank you for answering and providing such a great story. 鉂わ笍
If anyone is wondering, I proposed in June of 2022 and SHE SAID YES!! We're actually getting married next month and we're both super excited and nervous and it'll be great but also I just want it to be done. Lol.
I got her favorite podcasters to read out my proposal on their show. We both had the day off so I made sure we spent it doing all of her favorite things and really setting the mood. Then I accidentally dropped the ring box in front of her while getting ready for our romantic dinner (i was hyping myself up in the bathroom when she barged in to tell me about metroid of all things) and she totally guessed what was up and then i had a panic attack during which I couldn't stop crying because i had been keeping this a secret for months! but that was all ruined now which made her worry that instead of proposing maybe I was dying... but I eventually calmed down and we listened to the pod (it was at the end of like two hours of gaming talk, she had no idea it was coming) and I did the whole one knee thing and she said yes immediately and it was really cute in the end.
So I guess moral of the story is don't cry over spilled jewelry.
Hi Spider! Random question, but do you have any fun proposal/wedding/commitment stories? I'm getting ready to propose to my partner this week, and its both super exciting and extremely nerve wracking. We've been together 10 years and I just want everything to be perfect, but I also know that sometimes the imperfect moments are the best ones. I hope you're doing as well as can be and thank you for always taking time out of your day to answer asks.
This ask is so old. But uhhhh I answered it! Finally!
I missed one place where the subtitles misspelled Emet's name. Oops.
I don鈥檛 know about you but I鈥檓 so sick of that omnipresent association of sports/fitness with weight loss as the ultimate goal.
(PS: I鈥檓 not sure how efficient punching people is for building muscle mass but I鈥檓 afraid she鈥檚 had a lot of opportunities so I guess four pounds is probably realistic?)
