It smooths on easily and absorbs quickly. When it comes to waxing, I am a pro. I have been waxing my own face, arms, and legs for over a decade and have performed waxing services in a spa off and on for just as long. I have tried all kinds of hair removal numbing creams, pre-treatment prep products and post treatment salves. So, when I say this cream is a must-have when it comes to hair removal, I really mean it. This thick shea butter based cream has only 7 ingredients and combined they help cool and calm nerve endings in the skin making hair removal a much more comfortable treatment. I love that this cream can be used pre-treatment to help numb and prevent a histamine reaction in the skin and post treatment to soothe and nourish. I also find it amazing that this cream can be used with any hair removal process (waxing, sugaring, threading, etc...) and on any part of the body. Every time I have used this cream, my skin immediately soaks it up and leaves my skin nice and smooth. I wasn’t a huge fan of the scent, but found it quickly dissipated after an hour or so. All aboard the GUA SHA train! 🚂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Product Name: Gua Sha Stainless Steel Tool Product Company: @sacheu Size and Cost: $35 USD ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I think I will just come clean and say that I wasn’t super excited to test out this tool. As a licensed Master Esthetician, I have known about and used Gua Sha stone tools for years. I felt like I had seen it all and didn’t quite grasp how this 100% Stainless Steel tool would change or enhance the protocols that I had already enjoyed using. 🤦‍♀️Welp, I was wrong, I was really wrong. This eco-friendly tool had me smitten the second I pulled it from it’s beautifully designed box and foam insert. It’s chilling touch was shocking and it only continued to stay chilled even while holding it in my hand for a few minutes. I also noticed that this tool felt twice as heavy as a traditional jade Gua Sha tool. These two factors really gave this tool a powerful feeling when I used it to administer a traditional Gua Sha massage to my face and neck. It allowed me to really hold the tool tight and precisely control the amount of pressure I used from light to very deep (this varies from traditional stone tools because often the stones are cut thin and can easily snap if used too forcefully). After my first full treatment with this stone, my face already looked less puffy and a tightening effect had already started to kick in. All the products I have personally tried work and work well. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Fast forward to the present and here I am trying yet another revolutionary Skin Ceuticals Product. This Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2 is indulgent without being showy. It’s creamy texture is made up of a 2 to 4 to 2 ratio of 2% pure cerimides 1 and 3, 4% natural cholesterol, and 2% fatty acids. After just one use of this cream overnight, I woke up to smoother, plumper looking skin. It was miraculous. I had even endured some UV exposure the day before and upon waking, I didn’t see the dry, red toned skin I was expecting. It seem the cream help hydrates and sooth my skin in a way that I haven’t experienced before. After a couple more uses, my skin is feeling radiant and very hydrated. Each time I use it, I am awed at the quick way my skin absorbs this cream. It leaves my skin with a velvety smooth texture without being greasy or slimy. After using just one 4oz. Bag of this Hydrogen Peroxide Bath mixed in with my bath water (it dissolved so quickly), I am pretty impressed. Any and all inflamed spots on my body were noticeably less red after my bath (and noticeably less itchy). My skin was uber soft and it almost felt like I had had a full body exfoliation treatment. I even noticed that my loose skin seemed hydrated and smoother as a result of my bath with this doctor formulated soak. With ingredients such as bentonite clay (absorbs excess dirt and oils) and colloidal oatmeal (helps calm inflamed skin), how could my skin not feel less irritated? I definitely feel like this PH balancing soak could be a game changer for anyone that suffers from minor body issues like me or extreme body skin issues such as bed sores, excessive psoriasis of the groin area and excessive bacteria from skin folds and crevices. I am pleased to say, it did. From the hand carved Kotibe wood paddle to the Pure Boar Bristles, this brush screams built to last. Even the cushioned feel of the pneumatic rubber pad feels up scale and durable. My scalp loved the intense massage given by the mix of Nylon and Boar Bristles. It was so invigorating to use every day and felt that my hair looked healthier (shinier and smoother) after each use. I even had to pry this one away from my boyfriend who admittedly said he loved using this brush for his beard that it never felt like it was pulling on his hairs). I received this oil in one of their quarterly K-beauty subscription boxes and have since bought it and recommended it over and over! With a star ingredient like Tamanu Oil, this melon scented oil is great at fading scars and hyperpigmentation while also healing and moisturizing the skin. This magic elixir also includes Centella Asiatica Extract (helps calm skin), Licorice root (for brightening), Shea Butter (for occlusive moisture), and Squalane (soothe and hydrates). Only a few drops of this lime green oil goes a long way. During dry months, I use 2-3 drops of this mixed with my makeup to help keep my aging skin hydrated. This oil is not greasy and very light weight compared to other oils. Never, ever, have I wanted to eat a skincare product until now!!!🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Product Name: Whipped Body Butter Product Company:Sugar and Kush Body Care Size and Cost: 6oz. $70USD ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You know that scene, in the movie Willy Wonka, where the kids are running through the candy meadow and they stop to eat the whipped cream out of the tops of the mushrooms? 🍭 I am pretty confident that this had to have been the scene that inspired Sugar and Kush’s Whipped Body Butter. From the fantastic pink bubble gum color to the soft glitter shimmer it leaves on this skin, this luscious cream is what dreams are made of. I found using this thick whipped cream on my legs after shaving left my skin hydrated and glowing. With the likes of CBD and CBG, this body butter helps fight inflammation in the skin and also acts as an antimicrobial (making it a great treat for the exfoliated and often irritated skin that is caused by shaving). I also appreciate the vegan, gluten-free, ingredient deck that is fortified with jojoba oil, shea butter, and pomegranate seed oil. This natural line-up even has my eczema prone skin jumping for joy! I plan on keeping this jar in my beach bag this summer to use after a day of fun in the sun. Not only is the packaging ethically sourced, the ingredients are as well. With the likes of jojoba oil, argan oil, and full spectrum hemp, this light weight oil is a universal treatment that can be used all over the body. It’s subtle scent of rose, frankincense and herbs adds a soothing almost spa-like feel to any daily skincare routine. I discovered that my skin loves this serum to be applied daily right out of the shower when skin is still slightly dripping wet. I pump 1-2 pumps of this light amber colored serum into my wet hands and work it around to mix the oil and water together. Then I thoughtfully massage this mixture onto my face, neck and decollete (I even rub this into the eczema and psoriasis spots I have behind my ears and in my hairline). After several weeks of doing this, I find my skin maintains a hydrated even-toned look and has stopped feeling inflamed or extra greasy. More little babies going out. 👶 There is something so satisfying about little samples. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Do you like sampling skin care? Would you rather buy the full sized product? I’m dying to know if people use samples up or let them sit in a drawer for months? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A few sample tips: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1-Follow the direction that come with the sample, only using when recommend and in the manor it was designed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2- Store samples in a dark cool, air tight space. Samples have more than likely already had exposure to air and need to be protected because they will oxidize or go rancid quicker. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3-Start by using a small amount. If you feel you need more, then use another small amount. They key is to get as many uses out of the small sample as possible. Jelly Time! This is my go-to mask after any kind of extra-exfoliating facial treatment. 🥝 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In this pic, I had just finished a pretty aggressive Ultrasonic facial (a fast quick vibrating hand piece that purges pores of excess sebum, debris and dead skin cells). 😧 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ After this treatment my skin is always very read and stimulated. 🥵. Using a cool jelly mask (shown here is by @esthemax) and nourishing serums after ( I used @repechage Hydra Medic Beta Serum and @glymedplus CBD Booster) can quickly reduce inflammation and tighten pores up. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ After these facials my skin is usually glowing and bright.
