I just started watching The Rising of the Shield Hero with my mom and brother. They had started it a few years ago, never finishing it, but are rewatching it with me. They said it’s good and obviously I know it’s supposed to be good. RIP Billy 😭✊🏻
But Oh My Gods!
I literally wanna stab almost every character except Naofumi and Raphtalia.
The weapons guy is cool and nice, also the people from the village Naofumi saved but pretty much everyone else I wanna kill. (Or at least punch in the face or stab a little)
We’ve only gotten to episode 4 or 5 but I am so irritated lmao
I’m gonna keep watching but it’s so hard.
Am I the only one who feels this way or felt that way?
Nah... someone explain to me why our brain just goes “He's hot” or “She's hot” at a fictional character that you know very well, if they existed in real life, you would stay the HELL away from.
Is there some sort of scientific effect that little lines and circles on a screen, voiced by different people, talking a different language has on us?
I’m probably the last person on earth to read the newest chapter of The Remains(Bullet p3). But I got to this page and busted out laughing. I love reading the little notes and extras like this. 🤣🥰❤️🔥
I’ve been thinking about something in Moriarty the Patriot for a while now.
Did everyone forget Louis and William are flesh and blood brothers?
Like they were 6 and 10(I think) when they met Albert.
I wanna explain myself but I’ll be mentioning things from the Final Problem arc in case you don’t want spoilers or haven’t gotten that far.

I understand that William and Louis see Albert as a brother and vice versa but it’s not the same as how Louis and William feel, especially Louis.
Moran probably sees the three as younger brothers, obviously he sees Fred as one, but again not the same.
Keep in mind Louis is very sheltered and believes William is an angel, basically worshiping the ground he walks on. He will do anything for William.
I like Moran as a character for the most part, he’s cool and all.
Unfortunately I don’t care for Irene/Bond. They’re ok I guess but not my cup of tea.
Albert on the other hand is up there on my favorite character list. He’s probably my 2nd favorite character.
But during the Final Problem when Louis and Fred want to ask Sherlock for help Moran and Bond gang up to scold them for doing so.
Fred is upset because he’s the youngest and sees William as an older brother. Obviously he doesn’t want him to die and gets emotional about it.
When it comes to Louis though Moran basically pulls a Louis and scolds him for wanted to go against William and ruin the plan.
Bond and Moran clearly don’t want William to die but they’re willing to look the other way and say it’s for the best. But it makes them seem like assholes to Louis.
Did they forget Louis is William’s flesh and blood and has a deeper connection to his brother? Did they also forget he’s just a child? Yes he’s 21 and an adult but 21 is still just a child.
How can they expect someone so young and sheltered to not react like he does?
I understand that Louis and Irene/Bond are the same age but they grew up extremely different. So naturally I imagine she grew up quickly, got smart in the ways of the world and is more cynical. Therefore her reaction to William taking the burden(I.e it’s for the best) wasn’t surprising to me. But compared to Louis who was kept at the manor, only leaving for errands and the occasional mission isn’t as knowledgeable as Bond. So that comparison is invalid.
Louis is desperate to not be alone and knowing William wants to die and die alone is heartbreaking. He believed he and William would die together and to have that suddenly changed was probably whiplash.
Louis was brave enough and desperate enough to put aside his feelings and resentment to ask Sherlock for help, but Moran and Bond basically gut punch him saying that was the wrong idea.
Just because they want to bury their feelings doesn’t mean they should scold Louis for voicing his anguish and hurt.
1: Obviously Sho and Ryo are acting flawlessly. But DAMN! Kenta (John) and Ryoki (Fred) really went all out. 110% emotion
2: Sherlock’s hyperventilating in the beginning during the prison scene was actually really great acting and very realistic. I love this detail. 👌🏻
3: William’s whimper during the bridge scene was a great addition as well ❤️
4 Sherliam’s high five was *chef’s kiss* adorable (They’re both adorable) and Yes I said this already in the last one
5: Unfortunately my attempts to translate Shogo and Ryo’s 3 end speeches have failed(miserably) If anyone could send me their translations that would be so very much appreciated. I can do without subtitles for the musical but I really need them for the end speeches since I don’t know Japanese. Obviously when the cast laughs something funny was said and I’d like to know what it was lol I know this is a strange request and I’m sorry.
6: Oh yeah. And Louis’ physical reaction(I.e his hurt look and running away) to the people when they sing about William being the Lord of Crime is great. I assumed it expressed something like: “he’s not the monster you think. How could you all say he’s a demon, he’s my angel.” Obviously I don’t actually know what they’re all saying but I love his reaction. Very genuine.
7: My heart clenched so hard at the end when everyone looked so defeated and depressed. And especially when William (pretty much the whole time) looked so exhausted and defeated.
8: This musical in particular did a fantastic job at being more realistic (I.e my points about Sherlock and William) and gave so much more feeling and emotion to the characters and story.
End of rant 2 🥰
Will there be another? Maybe if I watch it for a 3rd time and find more things to say lol
No spoilers but damn I have some things to say about Moriarty the Patriot OP5!
1: Liam don’t go towards the light
2: The High Five was adorable
3: The Bridge Scene was *chef’s kiss*
4: This one isn’t specific to OP5 but I think anyone that does anything violin related for Moriarty should get a raise. The playing is insane!
5: I love Sho and Ryo. They are amazing and I would love to meet them someday. (Even though I know I probably won’t)
6: I need someone to make a compilation of all William’s oo’s, aah’s and ooh’s from all 5 musicals. I don’t have the resources or knowledge to do it myself. It really was one of my favorite things.
7: Overall it was great. Since I don’t know Japanese I will need to translate what Sho and Ryo said at the end but I highly recommend watching if you can.
