Her skin felt like silk on his chest, their bodies painfully close and as her hand snaked around his length he couldn't remember ever feeling anything better than how she felt pressed against him. His hands glided down her back reaching the rim of her jeans, they were the only piece of clothing keeping him from taking her and with that thought his fingers worked swiftly to pull them away, leaving nothing to hold him back. Her moan of impatience only amplified his own desire to give in to what she wanted, his whole body was craving her; he didn't think he could deny her any longer. Letting his hands wander, his nails scraped over her thighs as he whooshed over until he was on top her.
He heard her make a slight moan in protest but as soon as his own hand slid down between her legs she no longer made any effort to put up a fight. Pushing himself up from her, he took in the view of her below him. Her blonde hair was wildly scattered around her head some of it sticking to her shoulders and her chest, her nipples perking irresistibly as her mouth opened slightly in a moan as his fingers found were she wanted him and she bucked against his hand. Deciding not to tease her for much longer he lent down towards her for another passionate kiss, her desperate moans against his lips sending electric shocks through his body. As her body arched up against him, he took his length from her hand and moved towards her entrance, the anticipation coursing through his, the lust taking over him and with one sharp motion he slid inside of her.
Mistletoe! Pick someone and kiss them!
Just like she had promised to herself, she was with Klaus, spending the Christmas with him. This year, she particularly didn’t feel like raining Christmas cheer on everyone like she used to. Becoming a vampire had changed her a lot more than she expected…maybe that was why they had drifted apart breaking all their spoken and unspoken promises, she eyed the man walking silently next to her. Caroline, huffed in annoyance. She hated silence, especially from him. Sometimes the intensity of her feelings scared her. When she was with Klaus, all she wanted was to spend every waking minute with him. And when she was with Stefan, she didn’t feel like leaving his side even if he was being an emotionless asshole. She felt torn, and found herself in a dead end or perhaps a fork in her road and she didn’t know which one to pick. But she also knew she cannot string them both along and let everything explode in her face at the end. They were too precious for her to lose and she just couldn’t choose.
What she wanted now was a drink and less silence from her company? With a resigned shake of her head, making her blonde curls bounce along she tugged his hand towards an open bar. “I need a drink!” He just flashed his infuriating smile at her and walked leading the way. “Or maybe more…” She groaned falling in step with him.

He almost let a gasp escape his mouth when he felt her body roll him over so that she was pressed on top of him. Half of him wanted to flip her back so that he was in control but as soon as he felt her hand glide down over his stomach and release him from his boxers the thought completely slipped his mind. The other half of him was completely content with having her on top of him, when she was a human he would have easily forced her to give into his domination but now he would let her show him how much she wanted him. Her other hand sliding behind his neck, pulled his head up into another passionate kiss as her lips pressed down heavily on his.
By now her skin felt hot against his, as his hands began to explore the soft surface. Running his fingertips up and down her back, bringing her down into him as their kisses started to get more desperate and more wanting. The feel of her hands caressing him forced him to slip out an uncontrollable growl against her mouth, he could tell that this made her happy but he couldn't help himself, the feeling of having her on top of him was something he couldn't contain. Throwing his back away from her kisses he closed his eyes as he enjoyed her hands on him. letting nothing else matter in that moment. He let his own hands stroke her spine finding the clasp of her bra and with one swift movement he undid it with ease. While his body bucked under her hands he managed to pull away the constricting piece of clothing. He could still let her believe she was in control while showing her that he didn't want to wait any longer. He wanted her now.

He couldn’t stop himself from letting a wicked smirk cross his lips as he felt her desperately trying to pull at his shirt, her fingers felt like fire on his skin. The sound of his shirt tearing down the middle filled his ears making him let out a compressed sigh against her mouth as her small hands founds his chest. His nails running down her back as he pulled viciously on the material that was stopping him from feeling her skin on his. It came away instantly and his own hands began exploring the newly exposed skin that was pressing against his body. With a small jolt between their kisses she jumped up and trapped him between her legs which only made him want her more as he began deepening their kisses with a stronger sense of urgency.
Feeling her hands travel down his chest and to his lower stomach as she tugged at his jeans forcefully made his body feel like electricity was coursing through his veins. Her breathless moans encouraged him to consider delaying satisfying her wishes but his own longing for her was too powerful to supress. He pulled away from her lips and began assaulting her neck with his mouth, trailing his lips along her soft skin before nipping at her collar bones as he felt Caroline throw her head back in an aching need for him to give her what she wanted. Giving in to her need for him he grabbed hold of her body and whooshed down onto ground which had a thick covering of autumn leaves that still remained from the previous season. Pressing his body down hard on top of her, he let out a heavy breath of desire to take her right then and there; and that is exactly what he was going to do.

Her kiss surprised him but that didn't stop him from reciprocating by pulling her into him once again. It seemed every time his lips found hers nothing else mattered, it was only when she pulled away that all the confusing emotions came back up to the surface. Although he barely had chance to consider whether he should continue whatever this was, before she had already swept him away off the ice rink and back to the stand where they collected their shoes. He couldn't deny that he felt a lot more confident on the ground than he had don't on the ice and now seeing her standing there in front of him he decided to stop thinking and to just go with it. Klaus had wanted  to return to this for a while now, he needed her in his life and he wouldn't turn this down now, just because of a few uncertainties which they could talk about at another time. When she turned back to him the playful look in her eyes and spoke what she said next, he knew couldn't waste a moment like this. For a second he considering to prolong her request for him to find her but he knew that now his mind was set on her, he couldn't wait.
As she whooshed away, he was quick on her trail, having a thousand years experience gave him the upper hand in this playful chase and it was only a matter of moments before he managed to catch her and pull her into a secluded crowding of trees not far from the ice rink but far enough for them to be out of sight. Letting all of his feelings for her emerge out into the night, he pushed his body onto hers forcing her back into the tree as his mouth pressed heavily on her soft lips which were meeting his own with as much passion. Feeling her hands move to his shoulders, he aided her in removing his jacket, the cool night air hitting his body but he was so caught up in the moment that he barley noticed. After a moment he felt her fingers brush his neck as her hands moved to the top of his shirt, her kisses slowed and she pulled away. The same light she had before was still glowing in her eyes but her expression was questioning. Had he been to hasty? Was this not what she wanted? Then again, the way she had been kissing him not a few seconds before told him a different story. Without breaking the silence between them he lent in slowly and paused for a moment, his eyes full of fire as they stared at her before gliding down to her lips. He wanted her and he wanted her now. So without giving himself chance to talk himself out of what he was about to do, he moved in and collided his mouth with hers in another passionate embrace. Wrapping her up in her arms as his hands pulled at her own coat before tossing it to the ground. He didn't have to worry about breaking her anymore. She wasn't the fragile human she used to be.

To his delight he didn't have to wait to long to find out as she fell against him, pulling herself close to him. His mind was racing with what this could mean. Not long before had she been saying that she wasn't ready to choose but what if this was her answer? Afraid to ask her what he needed to know;he didn't want to scare her away so he just allowed her to collapse  against him, the familiar softness of her blond curls brushing his cheek pushed the urge to ask her from his mind. If he said something and broke the trance that they both seemed to be under he could send her straight back into the arms of Stefan and that is something he did not want to do. Her tone of voice when she spoke told him that he wasn't the only one who wanted to be away from the prying eyes of the passing skaters and continue what ever had begun on the ice. As she pulled away from his chest slightly he looked down at her hopeful expression, how could he resist such a offer? He knew if he passed up the offer now he might not get another chance and even though he didn't know how he felt about the sudden change in emotions he couldn't suppress the urge of wanting to whisk her away to somewhere where he wouldn't have to think about the consequences of how he felt. Letting his signature smirk form on his lips he answered her "Yes that was exactly what I was thinking." but his mind started to override his heart, he couldn't walk into whatever this was completely blind, he couldn't let himself believe that she wanted this only to be turned away if he went to far "If you are sure that is?" he cursed himself inwardly for saying it but he had to know.

He was rarely ever startled but this was one of the occasions when he was, finally realising what had happened he looked up seeing Caroline's eyes looking back at him but there was something different in the way she was gazing down at him. There was that twinkle in her eyes that told him that she was thinking the same as he was. Slowly but surely she learnt down and his lips met with hers, his hands sliding  over her back and pulling her into him. He couldn't believe the roller coaster they had been on tonight, the kiss under the mistletoe to the truth beside the Christmas tree and now this. Whether it was going to be only for tonight or for longer he was just going to enjoy now and not worry about everything that was going on. Their mouths met in one kiss after another, he didn't want to stop for the fear that this could never happen again. He knew now that he would never be able to stop loving her. Through the kisses he managed to murmur the words "Well when you mentioned skating... I never imagined....this"  before bringing her back into another embrace.

Letting himself give in to her request to change the subject, a smile brushed his lips as he glanced behind him at the ice rink, it had been a long time since he had stepped foot on ice let alone in New York but he couldn’t turn down her offer. After all he had been wanting to spend time with her for a while now and this was his perfect opportunity. Turning back to face her, all the sadness had gone from her eyes and he almost forgot that moments before he had admitted how he truly felt. “Yes, skating sounds fun” he replied seeing happiness return in the way she looked at him “Although I can’t say that I will be any good at it.”he gave a small laugh as he held his hand out to her. If they could not return back to where they were, he could at least let himself enjoy the now.

Seeing that she was still conscious, Klaus was quite perplexed at why she was lying in the middle of the road but then again Elena did always have a way of always ending up in trouble. "I have done nothing, my dear" he said giving a small smirk, his brain trying to work out if this was some kind of trap, he had been waiting so long to get a hold of Elena and this just seemed to easy. With another laugh he continued "It seems that it is you who has done something rather stupid, wandering these streets alone at this hour. Who knows what danger you could walk into?" he mocked, his eyes scanning over her face trying to work out what he was going to with this rare opportunity.

At the sound of her name, Elena’s eyes opened. A face she couldn’t quite place was staring down at her with laughing eyes and as awareness began to seep through the emptiness a small trickle of something akin to panic or perhaps fear bled through her. “K…Klaus?” Eyes widening, his name came back to her along with why she was supposed to be wary of the man, although Elena found that she still couldn’t quite find a way to move out of his reach. “What have you done?”

He could never show weakness, if he did he would appear as an easy target. Falling love is weakness and he had done just that, now he was paying for it as the closer he got to Caroline the more walls fell down from around his heart. Katherine had already done what he had feared most, using Caroline in some kind of act of vengeance for something that happened so long ago. He knew it wouldn’t be the last time someone tried to use Caroline to get to him yet he also understood that no matter what Caroline’s choice was, he would still be in love with her and that would still put her in danger. “The truth is, to me you are beautiful, you are strong and radiant and so much more than I ever expected you would be when I saw you turn into a vampire. But to me you are still the same girl I met in Pandemonium, the human I fell in love with. So much has changed since then, I know, but I still love with you and I can’t stop that.” Klaus smiled he couldn’t help smiling every time he told her those words, even though he was sure he had never felt so vulnerable as he did now.
Looking down, knowing what he was about to say might spur another argument but he couldn’t stop him self “Deep down you know what you want …who you want. I will never leave you when times get tough again, I promise you that, but there are times I may have to go away so if you  are looking for someone who will always be here by your side then choose… choose Stefan. But I will be there when it matters, I love you and I won’t hurt you again, honestly I wont. Now I have seen what it has done to us, I wouldn’t risk that, even if I am a coward when it comes to love.” he paused for a moment waiting to see her response, he had put his heart on the line and now only she could save it.

At first her question seemed hard to answer, if he was being honest to her he would have told her that she wanted nothing more than to be with her again but the rumours of her and Stefan hadn’t gone unnoticed and Klaus didn’t want to have to handle another rejection. Putting his heart on the line was something he didn’t do often and he couldn’t face going there again but then he thought of what he would gain if he tried. Caroline could come back to him and he could save the relationship he unwillingly destroyed but could he risk being turned away.
Taking a deep, unnecessary breath he cursed himself inwardly, ever since he had met Caroline she had changed him. Normally he would have not even consider risking everything but looking into her eyes he wasn’t so sure he could walk away from here not knowing what she would have said. Shaking his head to try and rid his mind from the sickening anxiety that was trying to take hold of him, he opened his mouth and knew there was no going back now. “I am doing this because I love you and no matter how hard I try I can’t let you go. It is down to you to decide what happens now… you know what I want.” the words seemed to come flooding out and once he started he couldn’t stop but she needed to know.

Well, it looks as if someone is trying to avoid revealing themselves. What are you so afraid of?
Tumblr media
And I wouldn't exactly call me useless, I have a lot of redeeming qualities. Yes, we do have all the time in the world but that doesn't always mean we want to spend it together.
A change of mind...
Someone too wise for my likes once told me that whoever is capable of loving is worth saving…whatever that means, it applies to you according to your brother’s theory!

And you guys are supposed to be immortals, like literally {making air quotes} I suppose he has all the time in this world to waste over one useless thing after another.

Care to elaborate on that? After all I have bared my soul to you many times.

Perhaps I am but I doubt even my brother will have enough time to try and save me.
A change of mind...
Cannot blame him for believing in you…you might still be savable. After all, you did fall in love!

Trying to read me now are we? To be honest, I was the sole definition of brat and I’m almost positive that even the devil would’ve thought Oh god, she’s up! Everything changed in one night though…for the worst. So you see, I’m anything but charming.

Christmas was going to be different this year, he could tell. He knew everything was a little unsteady between him and Caroline at the moment but she had chosen to be with him now and no one else, that had to mean something. However, uncertainty always left him wary and his lips seemed jammed shut and his mind swirling with questions he wanted to ask her but he was afraid that he would ruin the moment or they would fall into one of their many arguments again and the evening would be over before it even begun.
He noticed her looking over at him and a warm feeling crept up inside him, perhaps there was hope after all. Just after he was hoping that she would speak up and say something to break this silence she did and all he could do was smile to show that he agreed. A drink was just what he needed right now, not because he wasn't enjoying being with Caroline but he hoped it would loosen his tongue a little and calm his nerves.
Once they started it seemed Caroline couldn't stop, she was at least on her sixth or possibly even seventh shot by the time she finally spoke again. She was right in what she was saying, he was blowing his chance once again but he felt completely helpless and he hated it. Finally his feelings took over him and hie arms reached out and pulled her back, a little more forcefully than he had planned but his thoughts were spinning so quickly he pushed it form his mind "Caroline... I'm sorry" he tried to continue, happy he had finally found his voice, but she interrupted him an what she had to say hurt but it was the truth.
Somehow when she mentioned her kiss with Stefan his thoughts turned full of anger and rage and all he could do to stop them was to pull his mouth shut hearing himself wince. He had wanted her to move on but it still hurt, he still loved her. When she called him Klaus it was almost like another stab of pain, she had called him Nik so many times it was so familiar to him now and when she stopped it was almost like before when she had hated himself for leaving her alone.
The moment was interrupted when a group of men started to shout something in their direction. To busy containing his rage he was almost sure he would have turned around and ripped there heads off if he wasn't caught in the moment with Caroline. It wasn't until she glanced up that his eyes did follow and then he understood what they were causing such a racket about. Mistletoe hung above them, he didn't know whether to move in or run away. Of course he wanted to kiss her, but right now, when they had just been arguing and apologising, was it really the right time?
One of the men started heckling insults at them, daring them to see if they would. Klaus couldn't stand it any longer, if this was his chance, it could be his only chance and he wasn't going to let it pass him by without taking it. Releasing her wrist he wrapped his arms around her pulling her into him as there mouths met in a kiss. He could hear the group of men cheering in the background but all that matter was him and Caroline. When there lips touched at first he was sure that Caroline might pull away and tell him that she wanted Stefan now but when he felt her sigh and relax into him, he knew she wanted this as much as she did.
Mistletoe! Pick someone and kiss them!
