Chapter Four Southside

"She stole a kid?"

The sun peeks through the small window in my room. I reach behind me for Adam and feel the cold mattress. I look over my shoulder before plopping back into bed with a sigh. I forgot he went to work early today. 

I threw my blanket off, threw on a pair of sweats and one of Adam's t-shirts on the floor, and opened the door to go downstairs. It is weirdly quiet in the house, either I woke up super early or super late considering it is the weekend. As I walk down the steps I can hear voices in the kitchen.

I sighed before walking and leaning against the wall "So nobody touched you? god kid, you scared the fuck outta me".

Debbie starts to look around paranoid at us "What debs? What's wrong?" I asked her again. She wrings her hands together "I stole something" She admits. We start to hear a baby gibber, thinking it is Liam but when I look at him, he is quietly playing with a cup. I looked towards Debbie's door before she walked over and pushed the door open.

I looked inside to see a child wearing makeup and smiling at us "Who in the fuck is that?" I asked, we then heard police sirens barreling through the neighborhood.

V and Kev come through the back door with a laundry bin with the missing kid in it. "Is this that missing kid?" Kev asked nervously. V stops in front of me and Fi "What would she steal-" She stops when she sees the look on Fi's face and sighs. "There's gotta be a hundred cops out there," Kev says looking out the kitchen window. 

"Alright let's go, debs, watch him," I tell everyone and we all sit in the living room. "Look, she planned it, she took a stroller out of the trash and fixed it," Lip says. I shake my head "Alright look, Debbie is still a kid, The worst thing that happens is she gets help." Stevie says. I look over at him with a sneer "What kind of help?" I questioned, Fi butts in "She's not crazy. She just sorta, accidentally took a kid." Steve scoffs "Not if she lured him with a candy bar" I look at him "Please just stop talking, god I hate your squeaky voice" Steve looks at me annoyed and I give him the finger.

The front door is thrown open and we all look to see Adam stomping in with his phone in hand "Why the fuck did I get a message from Debbie saying she needed me?" we all look at Debbie in the kitchen and she gives us a little shrug.

"We're looking for a missing two-year-old boy Casey Casden. He was last seen wearing a Superman costume. If you have any information, call 911."

Adam looks at me before sighing and rushing to shut the front door and walking to wear I'm sitting "I'm gonna go ahead and guess that we're involved with this missing child?" he asked me. I nod slightly with a sorry look on my face. "Sorry baby," I tell him. He nods, reaching down and kissing my forehead, and sits down on the couch near Lip. He looks at all of us "Alright, here's the plan, listen closely 'cause I am never repeating this" he demands everyone.

I walk with Debbie and Casey as she rambles

"I can't be a nurse. I'm not patient, I hate bedpans!"

"I can't walk in clogs, and let's face it, I'm too small."

I groan and she continues. We finally make it to the kid's street and see a little girl dressed as an angel smile at us before running back to yell at her mom

"Mommy. he's back! Casey's back!" We walk further as the parents come rushing over and grab him. The people throw their arms around him and pull him away. A guy who I'm guessing is the dad, goes over to Debbie opens his wallet, and starts to offer her money. I gape at the guy and we see a bunch of people start to throw money onto the ground. I look at Adam, who just walked from the house, surprised and laughing as Debbie starts to collect the money. I turn to see Frank and two other guys walking towards us.

"My Debbie found him, A Gallagher saved the day" I groan as he makes his way over to us and we watch as he bends down to try and grab the money. Adam goes and places his foot on his hand, Frank groans "That's Debbie's" he tells Frank with a stern look. Frank scoffs "I'm just helping her" Frank tries to explain. I walk over and bend down to his face, glaring "Let go, or I will kick you so hard in the balls, you'll look like a Ken doll down there" he stares for a second before nodding his head "Okay, okay" I look at Adam and nod and he takes his foot off Frank.

Frank walks away and we turn to Debbie, I walk over and pull her into a hug "You did good debs".

Adam and I walk into the house exhausted from the chaos of today and go upstairs. Adam goes into the bathroom and starts to take a shower. I walk in to go pee but see his outline on the shower curtain. I get another idea and decide to take my clothes off. I walk closer and pull the curtain back a little for him to see me. He turns to face me, he gives me a smile before grabbing me by the waist and pulling me into the shower. Adam and I walk down to the living room after our eventful, "What do you wanna eat?" I sit down next to Lip and Ian watching a few minutes of TV.  We all hear a bang and look to see V and Kev running in from the back door. I walk over to the kitchen "What the hell is going on?" Me and Fi look at each other before yelling in excitement and rushing over to her into a group hug.

We all drink champagne and dance, Adam is holding me in his arms and swaying me side to side while placing kisses on my neck. Fi calls for me and I kiss him before walking over not knowing the conversation that is happening when I leave.

Steve walks over to Kev "She's great" he tells him, Kev nods "Yeah man, she's a good egg, she deserves it" Kev says to Steve and Adam. Adam nods and glances over to Rosy, Steve and Kev notice, and Kev smiles before nudging Adam "So when you gonna make it official with Rosy?" Adam looks at him stoically "You mean propose?" He asked them. They nod "Yeah, you guys have been together for a while, Are you thinking about getting her a ring?" Steve asks. Adam stares at them before a smirk gradually comes onto his face, confusing the men.

"Who says I haven't gotten her one already?" That is all Adam says before he pushes off the counter and goes to Rosy. Steve and Kev look at each other shocked before Kev laughs and pushes to get to V.

I push the car door open and see Kevin walking up to the house, I rush closer to the front steps "Kev, wait up!" Adam and I walk to where he stands, Kev looks at Adam "She know?" he asks Adam, and he nods. "we should tell them together.". Kev nods and pushes the front door open to the family sitting in the living room.

Fi looks over at us "Hey, can we talk really quick?" Kev asks her, she nods and rushes over to us. Kevin sighs "They found a body under the L" is all he says before Fi looks at us wide-eyed and looks back at the kids.

Under the L

We all run under the L to see cops everywhere. Fiona and I stand in front of the kids. "do you know who that is!" I yelled towards the cop. "ma'am you need to stay back please." the cop said and we all watched in anticipation as they rolled the dead body over revealing a bearded homeless man.

I take in what he said for a few long seconds before nodding and reaching to kiss him "yeah we're good" I say.

We walk out of the back office back into the bar, everyone whistles and sarcastically claps, I give everyone a look before giving the finger to everyone "fuck all of you" Is all I say as I reach up and give Adam a kiss before going back behind the bar to finish.

As I walk away he slaps be right ass cheek really hard. I jump and turn around, giving him a look before smirking and walking back to finish drinks. 

I look over the bar to Adam about to leave but as he is leaving he grabs the Jonathan guy and takes him outside of the bar door, throwing him to the concrete, Adam turns back before shutting the door "this goes for everyone" he points to me "she's off limits, If I find out anymore of you fuck heads try to get a pass at her, I won't hesitate to shove your heads through a fucking wall, Understood?" his voice bellows throughout the room. 

As he sees everyone nod, he gives me one last look before leaving the bar to go to work.

I put my head down and smirk as V walks over and bumps her shoulder with me "girl, that man is in love with you" she laughs, walking away and I shake my head smiling.

Chapter One Southside

Flashback

"Seven fifteen monkeys. Come on" I hear Fiona's voice in the hallway. I roll over onto my back, rubbing my eyes, god I'm so tired, I worked late at the alibi last night with V while Kev was waiting to pick up someone at the L all night.

 I stay in bed almost falling back asleep before Fi opens my door "hey, wake up, you got work today, and I need you to take Liam to headstart, that cool?" she asks. 

I sigh, sitting up in bed "yeah that's fine" I tell her before she rushes off downstairs. I pull my blanket off and my feet hit the cold wooden floor. I throw a new shirt on top of my pj shorts. I walk out the door to see Ian running to the bathroom "first shower!" I laugh as I hear Lip "you had it yesterday" 

I go downstairs, walking into the kitchen seeing Debbie, Carl and Liam eating cereal at the table. "Hello siblings" I say patting Debbie on the head softly before going over and pouring myself a cup of coffee.

"oh shit" I look over to see Fiona grabbing the cereal box "Electric" she says throwing in some money and throwing the box on the table, Each sibling throws in a few besides Carl. I walk over throwing in forty bucks "how much are we short?" I asked.

"eighteen dollars and thirty cents" Debbie says "I'm tutoring today, I can throw in 10 more after" Lip says, I nod "wait, did Carl put any in?" I asked. Debbie sighs "You're almost 9, you're gonna have to start pulling your weight." lip butts in "And get a real job, not just dipping into the collection plate at St. Tim's." 

I laugh before putting my empty cup into the sink "I'm taking a double at the Alibi tonight, should be able to get the rest" I tell Fiona, she nods before switching Carl's shirt out that had old food leftover on it.  

"alright Gallaghers let's go! gotta get outta here" I clap my hands loudly before grabbing my purse and Liam from his chair "come on buddy, you get to spend the day with your favorite sister" I tell him laughing "Hey!" Fiona smacks my arm before me and Liam leave for the alibi.

At the Alibi

"Where the fuck is Kev?" I asked V while also making 5 drinks for customers at once, she was rushing around the bar grabbing orders and cleaning "I don't know where the fuck he is? all I know is he rushed outta bed last night and I haven't seen em since." she says. I groan in annoyance knowing I'm gonna be here longer than I thought tonight. "Great, so I'm gonna be here till close" I groaned annoyed.  "If you want I can keep you some company" I look up to the smirk on Tommy's face, I give him a disgusted look "Not even if you were the last man alive," I tell him, walking away to take a break.

I sit in the back of the bar smoking a quick cigarette "ROSY!" I hear V yell, I push through the back door after stubbing out my cigarette. "what are you yelling for?" I asked her "We need more napkins please," she says trying to give me a sweet smile, I give in before smiling and slightly smacking her on the ass before grabbing more napkins. 

The bar door is thrown up as I'm standing back up from grabbing the napkins "Everyone, I have someone very special for you to meet, this is my older brother Adam" I look over to see Kev standing on the side of an older looking man, more rugged, kind of like you know he's been through some shit. I can barely take my eyes off him.

Everyone is greeting them both before they head over to the bar "And this is my sexy and awesome wife Veronica or V if you want" Kev smiles, introducing her she reaches across the bar and shakes his hand. "and this lovely lady who constantly has a frown on her face is Rosalinda, but she will absolutely chop your balls into tiny pieces if you call her that so just call her Rosy" he tell him. I give him a look before looking to his side at the burly man who is what I would guess around 6'4 "Hi I'm rosy, don't mind him as long as you don't piss off we're cool" I say shaking his hand.

He looks me up and down slowly, I can feel his stare burning into my body, he lets go of my hand slowly "Well, It was very nice to meet you doll" he says in what sounds like an almost deep southern accent. We keep staring at each other, not seeing the knowing look and smirk between Kev and V. Kev slaps his shoulder, breaking the tension "Okay, well we are gonna head up and get hi situated for the night, see you all later" he says, the both of them leaving the bar. Adam looks back one more time at me giving me another slow once over before smirking and also walking out the door. 

I release a breath "What the fuck was that?" I asked V, and she smirks before laughing at me "I don't know but it was looking like yall were eye fucking with all that eye contact" she says, I scoff "Yeah okay, you know damn well I don't wanna deal with another man for a while" I tell her, she scoffs in response "please, you wanna call the guy that would last for 5 minutes and never made you cum once a man? please" she says before leaving to clean up the cups and counters.

It was finally closing time, V left an hour ago since It was my turn to lock up this week. I just finished cleaning the counter before going into the back and grabbing my purse and winter jacket, It gets cold here in Chicago. I walk out and lock up, shoving the keys into my pocket I turn around to start walking home before seeing adam leaning against a truck. He looks slowly before nodding his head towards the truck. It takes me a second to understand and I slowly start to walk to the truck as he opens the passenger door for me.

He walks to the driver side, getting in and he starts to drive to the house, I don't need to ask considering he is staying next door. I peek over at him "so you're Kev's older brother?" I asked quietly he nods his head somewhat loosening his grip on the steering wheel "yeah I am" is all he says, I nod in response before asking another question "are you just stopping by or are you staying?" he glances at me intensely "oh I'm definitely staying" he says before smirking very slightly you would have missed it. 

He pulls up to the curb, putting the car in park. We sit in silence for a few seconds before I undo the seatbelt and grabbing my purse. I see him do the same. I open the door before glancing back to say thanks for the ride but he is already walking to my side and opening the door more and helping me out. 

He walks me to the door, Before I even put the key in, I look back "did you wanna come in for a drink?" I asked, He nods his head "I don't drink but yeah I'll come in" I decide not to question him before unlocking the front door and walking in, we barely shut the door before we hear moaning coming from the kitchen, we walk into the living room to see Fiona and some random guy fucking on the ground. I look back to try and explain but adam looks at me and starts to guide us both to the stairs, not even fazed.

As we are walking in the hallway I quietly tell him "sorry about that, didn't know we'd be walking into that" I give a half-ass chuckle. He laughs quietly "believe me it's fine, which one is yours?" he asks I point with my head to the door ahead "this one" I say, opening the door. I throw all my stuff on the ground before turning to look at him. "thank you for driving me" I say. His stature takes up the entire doorway, goes to show how big he really is. "I wanted to, need to make sure you get home safe." I give him a confused look "why? you just met me" I tell him crossing my arms over my stomach, he smirks at me "we've met before" he tells me. 

In shock "what do you mean? I think I would remember meeting someone like you." I scoff, he looks at me for what feels like ten hours but in reality it was ten seconds. "I was smaller you could say, had a head full of hair" he says, I stand there for a few seconds before I gasp covering my mouth "oh my god, you're the adam I met a few years ago at the alibi, shit dude I didn't know you were Kevs brother" I tell him trying not to laugh louder, he starts to laugh a but running his hand over his beard "well, you didn't know I was Kevs brother when we fucked in the bathroom" he smirks at me.

I look at him in shock "we had se--" he interrupts "yeah we did, best I ever had" he says still smirking at my now flustered state. He walks further into the room "I wanted to see if it's okay I spend the night, so I don't have to hear Kev and V fucking like animals?" he asked, I nod "yeah that's fine" I reply. He nods before gesturing to the floor. "I'll stay on the floor okay?" he says "Yeah that's fine" I say before excusing myself to get ready for bed.

 I walk into the bathroom quickly rinsing off in the shower and putting moisturizer all over my face and body and throwing on a pair of shorts and a tank top before opening the door and walking back into my room. In the middle of the room he stands with no shirt on.

He looks over at me "sorry, I had some stains from work on it, too bad to sleep in" he says, I shake my head trying to rid myself of those thoughts "Shit I totally forgot, let me see if we have any extra lying around" I say before going back into the hallway and finding a pair of grey sweatpants and a black tshirt for him. All I can think about while trying to find clothes are "jesus, he is one big man, a lot more ripped then I thought". I blush while throwing clothes left and right, not knowing the smirk that cross his face after noticing my blush.

And now back to the real world!

ARN One shot- The Positions Tour

Description: Y/n L/n starts her new tour, how will everyone react?

“Ok here we go” I press the enter button and the post is now up, I look at Trav with excitement written all over my face, Travis is standing behind my chair with his hands on my shoulders “WOOH!” He yelled with a giant grin on his face. 

I laugh before I go and log into all of the socials and check them.

“Jeez, look at them, they are going crazy already” I show him the computer screen of my post. I posted a picture of tour dates and a teaser for the new tour. 

We decided to call it the positions tour. It has almost all of my songs from over the years of albums I have made.

“In less than a week I will be on stage again,” I say with a soft grin, Travis rubs my shoulder lovingly “And you’re gonna kill it mama,” He tells me. 

“Wah!” Travis and I groan and smile at the sounds of our daughter waking up. I stand giving his shoulder a rub “My turn” I tell him before leaving to grab her.

One week later

I’m fidgeting and waiting for my cue to head onto the stage. A microphone is placed in my hand, and a small group of people fidget with my hair and outfit.

 I look at my phone one more time and stare at the wallpaper of me, trav, and Arabelle at one of his games.

I give my phone back and take a deep breath as I hear my cue, I grip the microphone tight and stand center on the floor elevator that takes me to the stage.

 I can hear the hollers and screams of everyone and my nerves start to go. I put a smile on as the elevator starts to rise. 

The crowd goes louder as they see me, I give them a giant smile before speaking into the mic “Oh hi! It’s so great to be back here with you guys!!” I say, earning a loud cheer from the audience. 

I started with my very first album and worked my way up to the last one I ever did which was released in 2021.

 By the time the show is almost done I decided to make one last announcement. 

Out of breath, I start to speak into the microphone “Okay, so there is one last thing I wanna tell all you amazing people tonight”

  I smile as the stadium is encased with excited screams. I laugh before looking back at the crew as a go-ahead. 

 The giant black screen behind me is lit up and it shows a picture of me with my new album titled “Eternal Sunshine” As I turn back to look at the screen I can hear and feel the excitement raging through the entire stadium.

 I look onto the side of the stage to see Travis and Belle standing there together, with Belle wearing her headphones because of the noise.

I smile and give Belle a funny look and she gives me one of her cheesy toddler smiles.

I turn back around smiling at everyone “I want to thank you all for loving and supporting me and I would like to shout out to Travis and Belle, thank you both for loving me and accepting me, and to you all for making this tour and new album happen I love you all and I will see you soon!” I smile and wave at the crowd before me and the dancers make our way off the stage.
