it’s been two years, I have good days and bad ones
it’s been two years, I’m still healing
why does it still hurt?

You ever think about how nice It’d be to not feel anymore pain and for it to all just be over?

No matter what terrible things you have been through, no matter how many hard days you have experienced, no matter how hard you have hit rock bottom, you are still here, my love. And that is what matters. You made it through every single hardship and every time you came out stronger, wiser, better. What you have been through does not define you. What defines you is that you fought through incredibly tough times and made it out alive. You are a warrior. A fighter. You are wonderful. Thank you for holding on. The world needs someone like you. You are a light. I love you.

You don't have to say "I'm sorry"
You should not apologize for being a victim of sexual trauma.
Do not apologize when you reach out for help.
Do not apologize when you get triggered and cry in public.
Do not apologize for speaking out against your abuser. You have done nothing wrong, and you do not have to apologize if you make other people uncomfortable with your seeking help or speaking out. You deserve to be heard.

I feel like.. it wasn't even me who experienced my traumas.. I'm just looking in on someone else's memories. Then again, I think I died when it all happened.

If absolute truth belongs to anyone in this world, it certainly does not belong to the man or party that claims to possess it.

you stole
my worth
my confidence
my innocence
my spirit
Not anymore
I am not a victim
I’m a victor

Quote
Our work is to cross a treshold into emptiness and stillness. It is like entering an empty room that proves to hold a great presence. The apparent emptiness of simple presence is richer than the crowded experience of ordinary personality. We can either be empty with Spirit or full of ourselves.
Kabir Edmund Helminski, from Living Presence: A Sufi Way to Mindfulness & the Essential Self (TarcherPerigee, 1992)

PTSD
Trauma permanently changes a person.
There is no going back to the “old me” or “getting over it”.
The sooner you accept this, the sooner you’ll be able to start healing.

I’ve become so damaged that when someone tries to give me what I deserve I have no fucking clue how to respond...
