Loki just looks at him as he climbs down, not saying anything, but he just looks at him the entire time, the last time he'll fully see Mobius before he has to be alone forever. It's like he's trying to drink in the sight of Mobius, present and here with him, as one of the last things he'll really see before he condemns himself to solitude.

#s2 has its own shortcomings but oh my god they were so UNHINGED with how they wrote loki and mobius #like they just went the fuck to town on how much they both meant to each other. how important and how dear they are to each other #and with that they used their connection as one of the main emotional cores of the show #to drive how the weight of loki sacrifice and how devastating it is #their relationship grounded the show and tied it to the audiences and make it truly resonated with us #pretty insane thing for mcu if you ask me #but they did that #loki series #lokius

However, "we would find each other in every universe" fucking rips. We would interact meaningfully in every universe but sometimes we are lovers and sometimes we are friends and sometimes we are bitter enemies and sometimes we'd simply both be in the same HOA.
