#i simply do not write anything that long. lol #literally can count on one hand the number of wips i've had that made it to 2k words #of them i only ever finished one. which was about 2 weeks of consistent work? #then my two published 1k word fics were both written within 24 hours #not the same 24 hours theyre from different years. you get what i mean #the most i've ever written for One Thing is 6k words which took about two weeks #but *also* it was for my morrowind mod project and consisted 90% of dialogue so it doesnt really count #(one day i'll come back to you incarnate's council... i KNOW i could get the writing done on that thing within a couple months if i just #worked on it consistently. the everything else that actually makes it a mod is an entirely different matter but still) #(unfortunately i am not going to ever be able to work on it consistently until i fix my brain. so) #anyway what was i talking about. i voted 2 weeks

Advice I gave someone today was: 'do it stupid.'

She wants to learn photography. Do it stupid. Take a million photos. Don't think about why they're not good. Enjoy the process of taking photos.

Pick out tge ones you like the most and figure out why you like them. Is it because the subject is centered? Is it because you caught them doing something cool? Is it because the light made cool shadows?

Do it stupid. If you try to do it smart, youll get stuck. If you think too much you'll never get to doing. Do it stupid.
