The single Fade Away from Navigator also gives me biiiig clone vibes but not Star Wars vibes. Nearly forgot there's also the Che Fu & The Kratez: Return of the Navigator artwork which is also kinda Star Wars but with pounamu and I love it:

Hey, Idk if you take art requests, but there's an album by the Maori musician, Che Fu, called The Navigator.
The cover art has a picture of Che with a baby in a carrier on his back on an alien planet while projecting a hologram of earth.
It has always given me Clone vibes, like a retired Trooper or something idk, post Order 66 on the run and looking for a new home with his child and it especially reminds me of your depiction of the clones.
There is absolutely no pressure to draw this. It's a busy time of year, and you probably have a million other things that you would rather be doing right now.
But it would be very cool to see in your art style eventually, and I will throw this suggestion out there if you are ever looking for ideas for something to draw.

Because media comprehension and critical thinking is so dead I hope bad batch season 3 has a scene where Dave Filoni, in animated form, walks into frame with a chair where he then sits down and makes direct eye contact with the viewer as he says, “This next scene was directly influenced by the current day veteran crisis and the difficulties many ex-military members face while trying to integrate back into the civilian world. In fact, many of the themes and stories within the bad batch are reflections of what many service members experience, told through a Star Wars lens-”

Remember when The Mandalorian first came out and it had new characters in a new storyline and it had its own music that didn't reuse anything from the old themes and when old shit like an AT-ST showed up they portrayed it like a fire-breathing dragon rising from the dark and it was all new and all so fun and Star Wars seemed like it was so fucking back
And then Disney realized they could Wolverine the shit out of this guy and it was all over in just three years

LUNAE MINX was a purple-skinned female Twi'lek, belonging to one of the rarest color variations of her people. She was the mysterious friend of the exotic dancer Ayy Vida. Lunae Minx is played by Katie Lucas, George Lucas' daughter. "I was purple in [Episode II] and it took about six hours to do! My call time was at 3 a.m., and my makeup took until 7 a.m., and we wouldn't start shooting until two hours after that. The makeup went all down my arm and they airbrushed spots down the tentacles. I was exhausted by the end of the day."

if you’re ever in doubt about what pov to write a scene from, a good rule of thumb is to pick the person who knows the least about what’s going on. lots of pros!
you automatically have some level of tension in the scene, as they either struggle to figure out what’s happening or completely fail to notice it
if they know as much or barely more than the reader, the reader is learning things alongside them, which will help make exposition feel more natural
if they know less than the reader you now have dramatic irony! great for humor and/or agonizing tension
helps you keep secrets from the reader longer, since your pov character doesn’t know them either. (I mean you could also just carefully omit major info and pretend you thought it was obvious. see the Queen’s Thief series for several examples that span a whole novel!)
helps add a fun little mystery for the reader as they try to figure out those secrets (fun little mysteries are great attention hooks!)
“what’s going on” can mean anything btw, it could be the plot or the worldbuilding or another character’s motivation or the location of the buried treasure.
for best results, think about what each character in the scene wants to get out of this scene, and then pick the pov of the person who has least control over/knowledge of whether they get what they want. failing that, figure out which character has the most important secret that’s affecting the course of the scene, and write from the pov of someone who doesn’t know the secret. (the secret can be stuff like “I’m in love with you,” “I’m a spy for the spider queen,” “I’m the one who stole the muffins,” just whatever’s adding an undercurrent of tension to the conversation.)
this rule won’t be right for every occasion and you should trust your gut, but it’s served me well for years, so I encourage all you writers to consider it when figuring out how to approach a scene :)

also I love the fact how everyone is just tiptoeing around when it comes to describing Anakin, like, Huyang, I think we both know that "intense" is a very, very desaturating euphemism for the cracked up adrenaline junkie energy mixed with a handful of authority issues, God-complex and the attachment patterns of a newly hatched duckling radiating off from Knight Skywalker with the intensity of a thousand stars, but sure, if you think it's the right word for him, then it is the right word for him.

Cody really said "sometimes it's hard to be the one who survives", and he had that whole scene where the missile nearly hit him and all he could do was stare at it and shake his head ever so slightly, and did they REALLY need to give him two near-death experiences in the last season of the show he barely showed up in, and there's the scene where Longshot dies and he looks utterly defeated for. 5 seconds before having to pull himself together again and Kenobi says "we have to keep moving", and one of the consistent through-lines of his character is that he really does care about his brothers, and in TCW they could've so easily just explored that, explored how he wants nothing more than to keep his brothers safe but regularly either sends them to their deaths or marches to it alongside them, and how he's dutiful and loyal and a Good Soldier and how he HAS TO BE because he's the Marshal Commander for God's sake, how doing that job well seems like the only chance he has to keep things even a little less horrifying, and how none of that aligns to anything but a horrid dissonance in the very basis of what he feels he's devoted to, and how none of this was even remotely by choice and how the idea of choosing who you are seems so foreign and splintered, and they could've shown us how that affects him, like, how this entire fucked mental state probably made it nearly impossible to even attempt resisting the chip, because honestly at this point just give the show to the storyboard artist who added this

I've been thinking about Star Wars discourse lately, and I think a lot of the reason so much of the fandom is constant back and forth arguments is because a lot of the time, two characters can be right simultaneously while also disagreeing completely with each other.
Take the whole "Too old, he is" thing.
On one hand, obviously wrong. Anakin is nine, he's at most a few years behind, and textually managed to catch up pretty well. Like, if Palpatine and the Sith Plan weren't constantly messing him up, there is every possibility that Anakin could have become a well adjusted Jedi. Nine is by no means too old to learn a skill.
On the other hand, the council demonstrates perfectly in that scene that they are completely unequipped to deal with a nine year old who hasn't been raised in their culture, especially one from a heavily traumatized background. The pop-quiz they ask him would be perfectly acceptable for a nine-year-old youngling, but Anakin literally just walked in. They are giving an end-of-year exam to a kid who has never even seen a school. And they assume this is fine, because that's just what you do with nine-year-olds.
More to the point, they are completely failing to take into account the previous nine years of his life. They ask a kid, who up until all of about 18 hours ago had been enslaved since birth, to be open and honest about his emotions, in a room full of complete strangers, most of whom answer to "Master"! They have somehow engineered a situation so psychologically damaging that Palpatine is taking notes in the corner, entirely without realizing. When the council says they shouldn't take him in, they are one hundred percent right. Nine is WAY too old when you've spent that time as a slave, and are being entrusted into the care of people who have never had to raise a nine year old who wasn't raised like they were.
Or how about Anakin not being made a master. Was he right to insist he get the title, or was the council.
Well, Anakin should be made a master, you see, because,
He's one of the main Generals fighting and coordinating the war
And he's one of their most successful warriors. Like, he's the guy they call in whenever they need an impossible mission completed
He's more or less the face of the war effort, as "The Hero Without Fear"
As an ex-slave, obtaining the title of Master would be a huge psychological weight lifted off his shoulders.
Since they're making him part of the council for espionage purposes, making him a master as well serves as better cover
Giving him more reason to stay loyal to the Jedi after they just asked him to betray the trust of one of his oldest and closest friends wouldn't be the worst idea
Like, if ever there was a reason to give someone a promotion, those are some pretty good ones.
However, on the opposite side of the issue, literally none of that has any bearing on "Mastery" as the Jedi define it. Being a Jedi Master is all about mastery over oneself, having a deep understanding of the force, and a certain level of inner peace.
You'll notice that at no point does being really good at large-scale violence, being well known for being really good at large-scale violence, or wanting it a lot factor into being made a Jedi Master. Everything Anakin is good at, Everything Palpatine, and the war, and the council have pushed Anakin into being good at, do nothing to bring him any closer to Mastery, and in fact often push him further away from it.
In both of these examples, you can make a very compelling argument in either direction. Hell, you can make a compelling argument in both directions at the same time. And I think that's really neat.
