THANK YOU. I've ALWAYS said this. And ultimately, I've come to find it's mostly jealous fans or people who, the plot/any detail about the situation just flew over their heads. Sal would've gotten taken down either way. And on top of that, the boys didn't exactly keep her in the loop with everything either. "We should take it easy on her" - Larry/Sal (I forget lol but it's a conversation you can't skip). And just the fact that Larry was skeptical too before Sal came along. It makes sense why she was as well. We don't exactly know everything that the boys told her and didn't. If anything, Larry didn't show up til last minute. "This is the last time I'm coming up here." - Ash. Meaning, she's tried all sorts of things already. Might I mention, Sal lied himself too. She either could've been going off whatever he was saying/didn't know which things to bring up or keep hush hush. But in the end, she wasn't as involved as we think or would like to think she was. Until the end of course.
Sorry if my rambling is like, all over the place lol. Just a bit passionate about Ashley.
Why I will always defend
Ashley Campbell
!!!SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
First of all,
Ashley didnβt βsnitchβ on Sal. This is a super common misconception imo, so Iβm here to set the record straight. The only reason Ashley called the police to the apartments was because Todd had called her. She just so happened to know where Todd was, and figured he was in trouble. Ash has no idea what Sal had done by the time the police got there.
Honestly, even if Ash did know what Sal did, Iβd call the police too wtf ?!?! If she were aware of her fucking situation, she had every single right to call the police. As much as we all love him, and know he had no choice, Sal Fisher still committed a crime.
Also, you canβt really get mad at Ash for being the group skeptic about this whole thing. She had NO idea that Sal had no choice but to kill, girl was skeptical and thatβs understandable!!! Like letβs put this into perspective, if your friend group suddenly turned into cult-ending ghostbusters irl, youβd probably have questions too.
Even on trial it is VERY obvious that Ashley just wants to get Sal help. Even if she canβt bring herself to believe in all of crazy shit in Nockfell, she stood by her fucking friend and tried to give him the resources he needed.
Now, obviously, this backfires, but that is NO fault of Ashleyβs.
[slides business papers across the table]
As we can tell by the fake Dr Enon and fake Clare Nettles, the cult seems to have plenty if not total control over the law. Not to mention all of the coverup crimes.. The odds were turned against Sal from the start. I genuinely donβt think Ashley could have done anything differently to save him.
Even if sheβd gotten the picture in time.
SPEAKING OF, PEOPLE ALWAYS SAY βwhy did she wait til the last minute???β SHE DIDNβT. Her ass didnβt KNOW when Salβs execution would be and she tried EVERY SINGLE DAY. Let me pull up the in game DIALOGUE.
Girlie even tired to save Sal from beyond the grave, going as far as to try sacrificing herself for him. She was fighting for him even if she was all alone. She is such a selfless character, and I think Ash gets blamed too much for the doings of the literal CULT.

LarAsh/SF HeadCanons
In Chapter 5, Jim (Larry's father), mentions "stillborn daughter" in a letter to Lisa. And the code to the safe is "1983" which I'm assuming that that's when Larry's sister was supposed to be born.
Anyway, if Larry had a sister, I bet Ash and her would get along well.
(This was in my drafts for probably 3 years)
I still agree though and I've always wanted to come up with designs for Ben and Julia (Larry's sister)
Some day.
