iirc ferndale was pretty close to ishgard anyway so while I think he has an accent and a local language I don't think it's that out there. rouvastre however lived way out in the boonies and is essentially unintelligible probably to the average standard city ishgardian in dialect and probably had no choice but to switch

#I don’t mind if it’s smth that’s importantish to draw attention to like LD/superbolide/raises even if I’m in a role that doesn’t #really need to know about those things but I’d prefer to keep it short and sweet and to the point #when someone’s macro has multiple lines it clogs up my chatbox and makes things like actual calls hard to see #otherwise I find them kinda annoying. triply so if they have sound effects attached #even raises can get annoying if the fight’s going sideways it’s nice when those don’t have jingles attached
