    His teeth? His teeth!? That’s what this is about. Surely there are more astounding things in this world and the next to gawk at than pointed teeth. But the lad is nothing if not persistent.

    Maybe answering will get him to go away. “Sure, I was born with ‘em. What of it? You born with that drive to question incessantly?”

Whoops. Maybe a little too far. Well, he'd always known he'd gotten Father’s thirst for knowledge, and maybe it could be said that he takes it a little bit too far at times, but still. Morgan’s past feeling ashamed of it. The other kids - and this strange shark-like man - can be as overwhelmed as they need to be, so long as Morgan gets his answers. 

“Wow, that’s really cool! I don’t think I was born with it, because as far as I’ve read, personality isn’t genetic, not like how your teeth are, but Father is like this too, so maybe it is?” Morgan laughs, half-sheepish, and holds his hand out for the other to shake. “Anyways, I’m Morgan! Can I ask you more about your teeth?”

    He’s not leaving? On the contrary even? “Starin’ is rude, kid.”

The shark-man is right. Lucina’s lectured him p-lenty of times about staring at people, and so has Father, but honestly. How often does one get to meet a man with shark teeth? 

“Sorry, I just can’t believe you have shark teeth? Were you born with them? Was it an accident? Please, I really want to know!”

The Order of Heroes (he remembers the name from when that Summoner told him, back in those strange ruins that reminded him of home) is a strange place. Actually, most of Askr is a strange place, and so are the other places Morgan’s been to since landing in the Order. It’s okay though, because Morgan knows he’s seen stranger since ending up in the past (the past! he’s still not over that) with Father. 

This might take the cake, though. Morgan knows manaketes by sight alone, growing up with Nah and fighting alongside Nowi have accustomed him to the odd youth they carry themselves with, but this little girl definitely isn’t a manakete. She can’t be much older than ten, he thinks numbly. Part of him thinks that he began learning magic, swordplay and tactics from Father when he wasn’t much older, but Morgan’s also kind-of-sort-of-maybe-not-really positive that Father never left him on a battlefield when he was ten. 

He crouches down in front of her, hastily sheathing his sword and tome. “What are you doing on a battlefield? Where are your parents?”
