Ahmaud Arbery

on february 23rd 2020, ahmaud arbery, an unarmed, 25-year-old black man, was shot to death while jogging in a neighborhood outside brunswick, georgia, after being pursued by two white men in a pickup truck. neither of his pursuers, a father and son named gregory and travis mcmichael, were arrested or charged with a crime until may, even though gregory admitted to police that travis was responsible for the shooting. 

Emerald Black

on june 7th, 2019, emerald black a pregnant, black woman, and her fiance were pulled over by police officers after coming from a doctors appointment. the reason for being pulled over was for bad registration tags. the officers spoke to ms. black’s fiance while she stayed in the car. the officers began to order her out of the car. ms. black was clearly pregnant and she had let them know  that she had just gotten back from a doctors appointment where she was also informed that she was at a high risk for a miscarriage. despite this, the officers yanked ms. black, still in her hospital clothes, and threw her to the ground. they taunted her, piled on top of her, and stomped on her stomach causing her to miscarry. the stomp had also left a shoe mark. because of the abhorrent attacks done by the police, ms. black suffered not only physical, but emotional injuries. she lost her unborn child. 

Julius Jones

julius jones was 19-years-old, he was convicted of a murder he says he did not commit. Julius has lived on death row for almost 20 years, and is held in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day. he is allowed one hour of sunlight a day, and three showers a week. at the time of the crime for which he was convicted, julius was a 19-year-old student athlete with a promising future, attending the university of oklahoma on an academic scholarship.  eyewitnesses place mr. jones at his parents’ home at the time of the murder, miles away from the crime scene. 

Chrystul Kizer

chrystul kizer is an incarcerated trafficking survivor who is being charged with life in prison for acting in self-defense against her trafficker. 

Regis Korchinski-Paquet

regis korchinski-paquet was murdered by toronto police. a call was made for a domestic incident and toronto police officers were present on the 24th floor in a high park apartment building to “observe” 29-year old, regis. shortly after, she allegedly fell off the balcony. 

James Scurlock

on may 30, 2020 james scurlock, 22 years old, was shot by jacob gardner, while protesting for justice and equality in omaha, ne. no charges are being filed because “there was consensus among law enforcement that gardner’s actions were justified”. the citizens of omaha, are demanding the grand jury needs to decide if charges will be filed, not don kleine or his office.

Tony McDade

tony mcdade was a transgender black man who got killed by police in tallahassee.

João Pedro

14-year-old joāo pedro was killed by the rio de janeiro police. joāo was shot at his home and his body was taken by the rio de janeiro police. his family waited 17 hours until receiving news of his whereabouts. they finally found his dead body at a medical examiner’s office. the family counted 72 bullet marks on the walls of the house. cops say joāo died in a shootout started by criminals. neighbors say that is a lie.

Tamir Rice

more than a year after police shot and killed 12-year-old tamir rice as he played in a park with a toy gun, a grand jury declined to charge the officers who opened fire on tamir in less than 2 seconds of arriving to the scene.

George Floyd

george floyd was murdered by a minneapolis police officer. george was handcuffed and restrained and being completely cooperative when this all went down. the officer put his knee on george’s neck choking him for minutes on minutes while george screamed that he could not breathe. bystanders beg for the police officer to take his knee off george’s neck, but the officer didn’t listen and continued to choke him. not that it would matter at all, but george was not even wanted for a violent crime. 

Willie Simmons

in 1982, army veteran willie simmons, was prosecuted under alabama’s habitual offender law. mr. simmons he had three prior convictions, one of which was for grand larceny. he told reporter beth shellbure the other two were for receiving stolen property. at the time mr. simmons had become addicted to drugs while stationed overseas. he was convicted of 1st-degree robbery and sentenced to life without parole for stealing $9. 

Darrius Stewart

darrius stewart, an unarmed 19-year-old, was gunned down by a white cop in a case of mistaken identity. 

Breonna Taylor

breonna was asleep at home when a rogue task-force of the louisville police broke down her door in the middle of the night and murdered her. they were attempting an illegal drug raid in the wrong neighborhood for a suspect that they’d already arrested earlier that day. the police officers have yet to be arrested or charged.

Zinedine Karabo Gioia

on her 21st birthday, july 21st 2018, she was date raped by brendan rundle in gaborone, botswana. nothing was done. forensic evidence went missing, she was told that because she was drugged and had no clear story that it was unlikely he would be charged. 

Slave Market House in Center of Downtown Fayetteville NC

the market house as it is known is in the middle of downtown fayetteville. it has a troubled past in the african american community. though it is admired by the city and used as a trophy for the city’s “business of the year” award, the history of this building and area is lynching and selling of african american slaves. the city of fayetteville has known that most african americans in the city wish for it to be taken down and replaced with something more positive about african american history. the market house building is a reminder of slavery and fuels white supremacy. it should be replaced with a beautiful landmark funded by an annual city or state grant and remain a historic site.

rubber bullets can be extremely lethal. they may cause bone fractures, injuries to internal organs, or even death. it’s been proven that rubber and plastic bullets are too dangerous for crowd control.

Shukri Abdi

a 12-year-old girl was drowned in the river irwell in greater manchester. police had suggested shukri drowned after going into the water to "cool off" – despite the fact she couldn’t swim and her family reported that she was terrified of water. a group of children were with her at the river in the period before she died and one of them was reported to be laughing as it watched the girl drown.

The 8th House and Surgery/Death

So I am going to dive into medical astrology + the 8th House. The 8th House in terms of death now-a-days usually symbolizes an emotional, spiritual, or possible death of identity and rebirth. In medical astrology the 8th House can determine surgeries and death. I don’t know if this is comforting or not, but know that this part of astrology is less spiritual and magic than it is based on medieval science. You can always try to look at these interpretations as metaphorical. For newer planets this is a mixture of modern medical astrology and predictive astrology interpretations. 

Surgeries 💉

Aries in the 8th House: Associated with head, face, and possibly brain surgery.

Taurus in the 8th House: Associated with surgery involving the throat, neck, thyroid gland, vocal cords, and ears.

Gemini in the 8th House: Associated with possible surgery dealing with the respiratory system. Surgery or mending of hands and arms.

Cancer in the 8th House: C-section or other surgeries needed during childbirth, breast surgery, and some older interpretations mention skin-related surgeries, possibly skin-grafting.

Leo in the 8th House: Associated with surgeries with the heart, spine, and lower back.

Virgo in the 8th House: Associated with surgeries within the abdomen, intestines, spleen, and nerves.

Libra in the 8th House: Associated with kidney, lumbar, and endocrine surgery.

Scorpio in the 8th House: Surgeries with childbirth and fertility have been mentioned for this position, although Cancer might be more associated. Possible surgeries with genitals, bladder, urethra, and rectum are possible. Anything that deals with hormones can be here too. 

Sagittarius in the 8th House: Associated with sciatic nerve, hips, and thigh surgery. There are some translations that mention eye surgery. I’ve seen some mentions of brain surgery. 

Capricorn in the 8th House: Associated with knees, skin, teeth, possibly spine, and bone surgery.

Aquarius in the 8th House: Associated with shins, ankles, legs, circulatory system, and brain surgery.

Pisces in the 8th House: Associated with nerve and foot surgery and also has a connection to brain surgery.

Sun in the 8th House can indicate ease in healing from surgeries and invasive procedures or even healing naturally.

Moon in the 8th House can indicate a surgery that is life-changing, mostly within emotions. This could be a loss of movement, a lifestyle change, etc. Hopefully it is something helpful but feelings of rage, regret, or grudges can form from the procedure.

Mercury in the 8th House can indicate a fast recovery from surgery. This can also indicate someone who mentally deals with the surgery and recovery very well and flexibly.

Venus in the 8th House is suppose to be favorable for pain somehow. Maybe they almost enjoyed being drugged during the procedure or maybe they didn’t feel a lot of pain during recovery. Venus in this House, when it comes to surgery has an association with physically improving and maybe aesthetically. Venus here could also attract others while they are sick or recovering to their aid or general connection.

Mars in the 8th House can indicate turmoil or struggles during surgery and recovery. There is a battle going on within a person’s health. Mars here can indicate a good success rate for “winning the battle”. Sudden or aggressive reasons to go into surgery can appear here.

Jupiter in the 8th House has a connection to good luck in surgery and recovery. This planet can also indicate a slow and gradual recovery. When diving into deeper sides of the planet surgery may be life changing for personal growth.

Saturn in the 8th House can indicate struggle in surgery and recovery. However unlike Mars, this one has a lot of heaviness and possible negativity to it. Recovery can take a long time and have plenty of setbacks. Health can seriously mature a person within this position. This individual could have bad luck with surgeons and doctors, could be skeptical of healthcare, or refuse to get the help they need in a timely manner.

Uranus in the 8th House could try new or uncommon procedures. There is an association with avoiding surgery. An interesting association with self-surgery! Also one could go into surgery without really needing it.

Neptune in the 8th House has an association with being unaware in surgeries. An example could be someone already unconscious going into surgery. Surgery when too young to remember. There is an association with having a relationship to anesthesia, maybe allergy, really liking the sensation, or awareness.

Pluto in the 8th House is associated with fast-paced surgeries, extreme trauma surgeries, possible risk of death or permanent damage, but also sudden, maybe miraculous turn-arounds or recovery.

I’ve read that MC in the 8th House can have a connection to surgery and death. IC in the 8th House can indicate a third-party/outsider emotional trauma to loved ones surgery. This is a loose translation.

Death  💀

For body parts and physical damage/ailments look to the parts of the body associated with each sign. Many of them were listed above. 

Sun in the 8th House can indicate a natural death, old age.

Moon in the 8th House can indicate death surrounding a lot of emotion. Maybe someone passed with a lot of issues not resolved, could connect this to murder or maybe an innocent executed. I’m sure we could add more to the list but keywords are grudges, sorrow, hurt, anger, regret. This could also be a death that is heavily sad for a family and community. Of course I would think so many deaths are like this anyway.

Mercury in the 8th House is interesting because it indicates a carefree or easy death. A death free of regrets. There is also associations with good awareness and communication among those they left behind.

Venus in the 8th House has death surrounding peace, painless, and justice. This could also translate to acceptance among loved ones.

Jupiter in the 8th House has good luck tied to it but this may be more for the people left behind. Acceptance or new wisdom could come of the person’s death. A gradual death is associated but some also mention this being a more painless death, maybe more so in the mental realm.

Mars in the 8th House indicates a death that is sudden, violent, or aggressive. This can also be looked at as a sudden death for loved ones, something they did not see coming. There is the association of loved ones harboring a lot of anger due to their death.

Saturn in the 8th House indicates a painful death or one that is very tragic somehow. This position can also indicate that loved ones really, really struggle to move on or that their death spreads negativity to others. Possible connection to dying in old age. Connection to others forced to be more mature, self-reliant, or practical due to the person’s death.

Uranus has an interesting association with predicting their own death, awaiting it, or causing it, but it doesn’t indicate that they meant to cause it, so I wouldn’t necessarily point to suicide. The death can be strange and it can also be quite unpredictable/sudden. There is a slight association for dying for one’s beliefs. Also great change can come from this individual’s death.

Neptune in the 8th House has a strong tie to dying in one’s sleep or somehow being unaware of passing. There is the association of their death being a sacrifice for others. Others could be unaware of their death for a long time. Missing person or body can be associated here.

Pluto in the 8th House has ties to suicide, to sudden death, to death that really shocks others, and a death that transforms others. There is a lot of darkness that can surround one’s death here. Their death could set a chain reaction for loved ones. This can also be seen as their death making other people stronger.

I’d like to note Pluto and Mars are associated with “barely escaping death” too. Of course we all have to go one way or another.

-Virgo and Libra are associated with poison or choking. Virgo can be associated with allergies or food poisoning. Taurus has a connection to choking too. 

- Cancer and Scorpio have connections to death during childbirth.

-Due to how new asteroids are there isn’t much written about them in the 8th House and death, but some theories:  Ceres: Could act a lot like Venus in indicating a “painless death”.  Juno: Could indicate the death of a spouse or due to a spouse  Lilith: Has a connection to violence and sex Vesta: Possible work accident, stress induced, could have a tie into some interesting sexual or gender themes.  Pallas: Getting injured or death doing what someone loves, maybe due to defending someone, or getting hurt/dying for a cause, someone’s death could inspire wisdom or a new task for those left behind Chiron: Has a connection to wounds being healed or re-opened due to one’s death or from other’s death.

YES! PLUTO/VENUS ASPECTS & OBSESSION/INFATUATION/REFUSING TO LET GO OF A LOVER

With the Venus/ Pluto aspects specifically Trine, that automatically means the person with this in their chart loves HARD and deep but how does one go about moving on??? How to Let go of Plutonic ties

Pluto is the part of us that we choose to bury not acknowledge. Our unconscious. What fuels our passions, what we deeply want and what we deeply crave but aren’t aware of it. This results in the obsession [unconscious] taking control of the rational mind. We one-track- mind ourselves into thinking that this one thing/person is the only person who can give us what we want… what we feel we need. We refuse any other truth and of course you will? Pluto can feel very similar to Saturn’s glue-like hold. What we have to realize is the other person is not the only source of your happiness– even if your unconscious mind is latched to that idea.

 Love is something that takes some time to develop.

 Infatuation can come suddenly, yes, but real love takes energy and proximity. True love is born out of a desire to give without expectation. Toxic Plutonic love is based on a deal. Pluto rules other people’s resources and you better believe we are after something when Pluto is heavily involved. We want more drug. We want to feel good about ourselves in the company of that beautiful, sexy obsession. We want them to see how much we want them, how much we would give up for them, we want them to know how gorgeous we think they are, we want, we want. Plutonic obsession/imbalances are about ‘want’,

not real love.

It is about covertly satisfying our own needy egos. That’s it. That is why the rush feels so good….it is personally satisfying. We get this idea that if that beautiful object of our affection would just return our love then we would be whole, happy, we could finally move on from this pain of longing and wanting because they would have made us happy. All of this happiness we want comes from them. We are looking to the object to provide our happiness when we are obsessed. We want them to fulfill our ego requirements, and good god– it fucking feels like love.

IF ONLY THEY WOULD LOVE US… 

Pluto makes you see potential in a person. What is there but needs to be refined, cut and polished, like a raw diamond.

Pluto will make you project. Especially the parts of yourself that you need to develop. You’ll see that potential in another and try to love it through them instead of yourself. Pluto can be symbiotic like that.

You have to turn that unconscious energy on yourself and retract it from the other. That’s the first step to detachment/ The second is:

Develop grounding habits.

That includes meditation. Meditation will strengthen the other parts of your mind– the Pluto muscle is well flexed and when we only work him out, the other muscles in our mind become atrophied.

You have to train the other parts of your brain to work in tandem. You also have train those other parts of your psyche to find pleasure from other appropriate sources. Let’s face it– there’s no getting rid of Pluto. No shutting him off. It would be a disaster to try to shut him down. Because disabling Pluto will disable your engine. So instead of trying to shut off the un-shuttable [new word] train your other muscles to work in harmony with him.

Pluto is very existential and you need to utilize more of the venus aspects here. Things that are very much about the senses. The tangible. Things like art, our creative juices, luxuries, etc. This is why many people focus on their features/ work out after breakups. Why we focus more on our money. Why we indulge in comfort foods. Why our art becomes so fueled with passion– our writing is more raw, our music more honest, our photographs hold more detail. Pluto can have you living in the feeling of inertia. That’s because his energy is fixed. But at the same time, Pluto rules change. So often you’ll see this entrenched part of us not willing to budge, fighting off tooth and nail to stay the same, while our higher self is sticking its fingers down our throat forcing us to purge. That’s Pluto. The part fighting that part that has to be forced or propelled to die off so that something new can take its place. Something better for you.

So moral of the story is– don’t be ashamed of this aspect. [The trine is actually easier to handle than the squares/conjunctions/oppositions.] Pluto wants you to feel. He wants you to embrace and experience that inexplicable lure that you feel in love. That intriguingly eerie, ethereal, or at the minimum a powerful magnetic draw to one another that is mesmerizing and even intoxicating. What’s the point in loving if you don’t love hard? This is the motto of every venus/pluto aspect. Just be sure it’s love and not delusion. infatuation/ That’s when the ugly 12th house/8th house stuff shows up.

But once you’ve felt all you can feel–the pain comes when you refuse to grow. When we refuse to let go. You have to allow your self to be reborn when you’ve died from the ashes of what was your last relationship/lover etc. Otherwise, that’s when the toxicity sets in. That’s when love feels like agony. You can’t own people, You can only experience them.
