The angel that would become Crowley leaned against the wall of one, of five identical pristine white corridors, although those five corridors were hard to distinguish from the rest of Heaven, which was full of many nearly, but not quite identical corridors.

"Did you hear?" The angel that would be called Hastur asked. "The morning star himself is planning to talk to God."

"I've got some questions of my own," Soon-to-be Crowley grumbled. "What's the point of all this creation if we only let it go for 6000 years? Why do platypus look like that? Why do some of the birds fail to fly? What's the point of it all?"

"I can mention you to Lucifer, I bet he'd ask God for you." Soon-to-be Hastur offered.

He shrugged, "no harm in asking right?" Soon-to-be Hastur nodded. "I'll let him know." Another angel bustled past them then, looking nervously over his shoulder.

They didn't know it, but that angel was Aziraphale, and he had just made a minor mistake. Really, not a big deal at all, and completely unintentional. He was quite sure that no one would notice.

Star Trek has the best plot

Watched the episode North Star from Enterprise and the choreography on the phaser fight is so fun to me. The little splash effects and wood splintering from the bullets. The bad laser effects on the phasers.

The best part is that someone grabs t'pol and threatens to kill her, and Malcom just stuns her, they drop what they think is a dead body to stare at him in abject horror, and he just shrugs and stuns them.

Incredible! Amazing!

Why have I never seen this incredible move done before?

Handshakes as rebellion: Star Trek Discovery thoughts

So I’m watching Star Trek: Discovery (finally) and I just watched the episode where Sarek nearly dies and keeps going back to the moment Michael was supposed to be admitted to Vulcan Science Academy, and at the end she’s pushing to be more human and reintroduces herself to Ash Tyler with a handshake and a smile. Up until this point she’s been very no to handshakes cause Vulcan raised, and while it’s not logical, it is fun to imagine what her hand thought process is.

Star Trek loves to back track the Vulcan hand shit they built in, ya know to make Spock and Kirk less in love, but it’s there and Michael’s whole resistance/aversion to handshakes is so stark. Like you could argue she grew up with touch telepaths so it’s just polite to not touch hands, but touching hands is also an intimate thing (See Vulcan kisses) for Vulcans, that the mind tends to wander.

After learning her Dad (fuck you Sarek, blood or not, that’s your daughter you fuck ass) basically did a big betrayal, and then nearly let himself die rather than show her, AND LET HER THINK FOR YEARS THAT SHE LET HIM DOWN, one of the first things she does (after giving Sarek what I like to call, the oldest daughter shake down), is go talk to the new cute boy and offer to shake his hand again with a smile.

If we’re talking text that was definitely a rebellion for Michael. She’s shed some of her Vulcan conditioning because it doesn’t serve her healing process, she realizes now that her and Sarek were never going to live up to what the other wanted from them, and she’s embracing her humanity.

But if we’re just little gremlins for a second it looks like Michael went up to a cute boy and asked to make out after her dad almost died.

It’s fun to imagine, in a cracky sense, Michael holding hands with boys in her teens and Sarek finding out and giving lectures about propriety and shit. Amanda walks in from picking up Spock from school and the vibes are tense, Spock immediately knows whats up because he’s the one whose been keeping look out for Michael (idk if that’s accurate to them yet but I hope it is) when she sneaks off and meets with idk Salvir, the neighbors son who she really thinks is boring but has nice hands.

Amanda hears what the problem is tries not to laugh but truly thinks this is dumb, and can’t help but be brought back to her own dad chiding her about going around with that Vulcan boy (they were full grown adults, but still) and how it looks unseemly. And she says as much and Sarek goes green, and Michael and Spock are watching and he drops it. Michael doesn’t hold hands with Salvir anymore…she holds hands with Chu’lak, who lives two roads over and studies at home so Sarek never finds out.

So I just watched the absolute worst episode of Star Trek Enterprise, and I want to throttle Captain Johnathan Archer. Who the fuck wrote this episode? What were they thinking?

We establish Johnathan (derogatory) is befriending the Captain of this other race. They're getting along very well, and go on a mission together. Meanwhile Trip is learning about the engineer on their ships attempts to have a child which involves three people.

We learn that this society has three genders. Members of 2 of the genders pair up to form couples, and then they are assigned a cogenitor to help them conceive. Members of the third gender are referred to using only it/it's pronouns, they are not given an education, their own living quarters, or more than one meal a day.

Trip befriends this individual, teaches them how to read, and tells them about the universe. They take Trips first name as their own, and ask to be called Charles. Charles then expresses a desire to go mountain climbing and experience new things. Trip encourages this, and encourages Charles to ask the couple they've been assigned to.

Charles is denied, and returns to Enterprise where they ask Trip to stay. Archer returns, considers Charles request for asylum and then FUCKING SENDS CHARLES BACK TO LIFE AS A SEX SLAVE WITH NO RIGHTS. AND THEN AND THEN AND THEN THIS MAN HAS THE AUDACITY TO BERATE TRIP.

Charles commits suicide after being returned to that life, and JOHNATHAN MOTHERFUCKING ARCHER BLAMES TRIP FOR THE SUICIDE, INSTEAD OF BLAMING HIMSELF FOR REFUSING ASYLUM TO A PERSON WHO CLEARLY NEEDED IT.

Anyways in conclusion the Johnathan Archer that appears in the Cogenitor episode should be hunted for sport.
