I like poetry because I'm bad enough that minor improvements still feel like milestones. Drawing sucks because I'm only mostly bad, so I haven't seen a milestone since I was like 10. euygh.

Beneath a cup or magazine, An insect must be excised. From life or just the premises, No matter its designs.

Here, on the wall—I make my way, A sideways highway in the sky, But if a giant spies me now, I daresay I may die.

A cat's paw batting at my wings, Disturbs me some, it's true, But in a glass without a drink, I'm more afraid of you.

Is venom in my tail or fangs? Perhaps I have a taste for blood! Or do I feast on rotten things, And track them in like mud?

Or then again, it may yet be, That I'm a friend—just passing through! Extracting me so carefully, Is the prudent thing to do.

Will you ever know the score? It's all the same to me. It makes no difference how I go, On a wall, or rock, or tree.
