Normally when I play RPGs I prefer romanceable characters to be player-sexual so I have as many options open as possible, BUT I really appreciate the dynamic in Fallout New Vegas where Arcade Gannon is a snobby nerd that makes you pass a speech check before agreeing to be a companion UNLESS you 1. Are playing a man, 2. Have unlocked the Confirmed Bachelor perk, and 3. Decide to flirt with him a little, in which case he immediately abandons all of his academic standards and joins you just because he's gay and horny. Excellent story and gameplay integration there.

Edit:lot of people in the tags pointing out that Arcade will also join you if you have really low intelligence out of "pity" which is absolutely true and not helping him beat the morosexual allegations
